for PVE I've been loving No Backup Plans with the Neomuna shotgun just running into groups of enemies making them explode and me leaving with overshield has been fantastic
9:34 you predicted that I would skip directly to this point, and you were right, so I went back to the beginning to watch the entire video out of spite, only to realize that you probably intended that to get more watch time. Well played.
Been playing Crucible, found a few strand titans. They are SCARY, running around at high speed and slashing apart anything in their path. The pure terror of hearing it pop and then seeing a bright green glow get closer is unmatched
I once had someone charge at me as a strand titan, he used the last bit of his super to suspend me before reaching me, i panic nova warped, safe to say he died right there and then
I'm a voidlock and sure as hell a proud one. Watching your enemies explode while obliterating everything around them and having 100% ability uptime is just too satisfying. Also you get full health thanks to devour.
Contraverse Hold + Devour = I'll toss this nade on the enemy spawn and literally do anything else as they die and heal me...oh look at that, I have another one :)
Alternative opinion on Dawnblade: “You want to play another subclass or use the actual Dawnblade super, but everyone around you always needs a Well of Radiance for survival, boss DPS, or both.”
Man, I have a great non well build with Vex and Rain of Fire boots, and while I aint a Dawn main (VOIDLOCK FOR LIFE) it sucks to have your fireteam tell you to go well.
With Sunbreaker I can agree with some parts of it. One thing I would’ve added to is “but because of that Lorilei, you might’ve been able to save a run or two in endgame content because of that throwing hammer, nade, sunspot combo”
Once I had Boodweaver fully unlocked, you can bet I haven't taken it off once. The Threadlings do some pretty solid damage, plus getting to yell "GO MY CHILDREN" after eating my grenade and popping well for maximum minions is hard to pass up. It's genuinely the most fun I've had with Warlock in a while.
I've....only just now realized I wrote "Boodweaver" instead of "Broodweaver". Why must I fail to spell the most important words in my comments, this is "Vegil" all over again.
Ya but the AI for the threadlings make them stupid as hell. Sometimes all 8 jump on one red bar enemy and they all explode basically wasting your grenade and class ability. Should play void warlock with controverse hold and vortex grenade. Pretty broken when it comes to orb of power generation since each enemy that runs in after the first kill still spawns an orb. I'm talking at least 3 or 4 orbs per grenade and your grenade instantly comes back after using it thanks to mods, and contraverse.
Been using wavesplitter and the volatile rounds artifact. Picking up an orb overcharges the weapon and grants you volatile rounds, making the trace rifle incredible for add clearing. Especially on void surge related activities in pve.
Speak for yourself. Only thing more satisfying than having 10 threadlings running around at any given time is combining le monarch with volotile rounds and controverse hold for lots of orbs, lots of poison, and lots of void explosions, oh yeah and free heals too from devour
I still think to this day, that stormtrance/tundercrown/riskrunner is one of the most underrated arc warlock builds. Just being able to shred the entire playing field at once is absolutely hilarious to me
Can confirm, I was running Strand Titan in GMs for Conqueror and I was marveling at how easy all the Suspend tools made it to keep enemies locked down for easy cleanup.
i like the titan build too, but hunter strand is alot crazier imo suspend nades & sixth coyote 2 grenade charges + 2 class ability charges, 4 suspends in total and fast af recharge rate made gilding conqueror a joke
I was hesitant on trying it, then I farmed for abeyant leap and tried the build in a master lost sector... Man I'm rocking that shit in GMs ever since, it's incredibly fun.
Behemoth with Winterbite and a Primary with Headstone is the most fun I've had from this game in a while, turning enemies into a giant block of ice and punching it open to get at the lance hidden inside just gives me so much joy.
@@sfgiants9725 Absolutely, I didn't have Lancecap when I made the original comment but I sure as hell do now. Easily one of my favorite playstyles of all time now.
Nightstalker used to be my main till I got into boxing in the real world and now I've found myself converted to the sparkle fist Striker. Fun stuff and great video by the way!
Voidlocks: we love the idea of making OP nad builds and love the thought that whenver devour is active were consuming the life force of our enemies and using it to fuel our existance even further... we also like to see things go boom.
I played only voidlock in d1, and when I started d2 and saw that I was solar my first thoight was how to get back to void, and I haven't switched since. Three things make me happy, Nova bomb, The Child, and Devour.
I'm still mad about the grenade switch up with void and solar 3.0 Like I can't eat my grenades to gain devour anymore, but solar can STILL eat theirs to float higher, LIKE COME ON I don't care If devour got buffed I want to be able to eat my grenades again
The Behemoth is so accurate, even when it was good I wouldn't use it because it doesn't feel cohesive. The Diamond Lance feels more like what the class should have been.
It doesnt feel cohesive because the grenade is the only regular ability that plays into the subclass. Bungie needs to buff Shiver Strike to do more than just knock back. But try Lancecap and HotS. Its like having more melee options all the time, and it backs the barricade play in too. Bring your favorite stasis primary or the Verglass bow
Nightstalker middle bit is accurate, endgame PvE pro here who has solo-flawlessed every dungeon in the game thanks to the raw survival power of camo+devour turns me into a solid snake doomslayer
As a moebius hunter, I miss the old 6 stack of funny arrows that could bring sorrow to an entire team holed up in the middle of cauldron. However, to this day I'm still making Tevis proud in PvE and PvP! Still kinda miss the old bladedancer. Just a little.
100%. Ever since Bladedancer was changed to Arcstrider, I swapped to Nightstalker and never looked back. Already was running Nightstalker in PvE, so I figured I might as well learn it for PvP as well.
I'm a warlock main who keeps trying other builds but keeps drifting back to my beloved Contraverse Hold Voidlock. Purple explosions everywhere and almost constant uptime devour just make me happy. A close second is Osmiomancy Shadebinder. Freeze all the things!!!
PvE Threadrunner was pretty accurate. Personally, it’s felt like one of the only subclasses that appreciates the time and effort you put into it, in regards to developing skill as well as the build required to make the class work. It’s been a ton of fun and I’ve found pretty great success with it so far!
I know right? Personally I’ve been tinkering with assassins cowl and it’s fun just becoming miles morales zipping around, smacking a goblin in the face and going invis
@@abysswalker2115 it’s so much fun and actually provides pretty good utility too with the build I’m using. Generating 2 orbs each kill with grapple melee kills while also being able to suspend with pretty good uptime. Assassins Cowl has been so much fun to use too!
Another good exotic for Threadrunner I’ve been using is the Frost335 boots for getting my abilities back for sprinting; it’s not the strongest option but I love having my grapple up as much as possible
Chuck tangle grenades, and slam occasionally, to tie up enemies for days. I only grapple when I’m latching onto a Nobel Round to flex on blueberries as I fly around the cosmodrome.
I main gunslinger with the single throwing knife as my power melee, the roll that refreshes it, a perk that gives me radiant when the knife kills an enemy, and a perk that refreshes my knife cooldown when I kill something with it while radiant. Free knives forever.
I feel like for bubble titan you should've added "You might also be that one guy who equipped it in D1 and literally never took it off even into D2 because either you're insane or you think its always been the best titan class." Personally, I've mained it since D1 into D2, but I also dabble in the solar titan shenanigan's sometimes.
Its one of the reasons I love strand soooooo easy to bait supers in trails as you giggle well the enemy players smash their controller not knowing where you went
As a Behemoth main, with a secondary Arc ape because it’s hilarious, I loved the description. I never see Behemoths anymore! Using Cadmus Ridge Lancecap is pure joy as I just whip a Lance at the group of ads from across the map😂
And here I thought Broodweaver was going to be about suspend spam and Necrotic Grips (usually with Osteo Striga), but the number of comments about feeling called out suggests threadling spam is more common.
Nightstalker here. I was an Aeon Swift ammo and Revive bot in GMs for most of Witch Queen, but I've had my Gyrfalcon and Funnelweb duct taped to me since the buff in Seraph. The only time I take off Funnelweb is to equip Recluse for legacy raids. I'm over the moon that my crutch subclass now has actual use other than sulking in a corner, and I get overly defensive whenever anyone mentions "Gyrfalcon" and "Nerf" in the same sentence. Spectral blades really need a buff tho.
You nailed it with nightstalker, been using it ever since it came out in D1. Literally never ran anything else since, I’ve always been the makeshift divinity guy. Spend about 80% of any activity invis the whole time. But I don’t touch crucible so not sure if I would run void there
Im a behemoth main. I didnt know it was so rare. I just love creating the ice speara and making a tone of glacers to break. Hoarfrost z is my favorite chest peice! Love making ice crystals and feeling tanky.
Void titan main that been slowly transforming into a strand titan. I consider my void build old reliable, but strand have been luring me more and more.
PvE Arcstrider used to be a pretty tough sell since the super required you to put your squishy self right up in everyone's grille. Of course now Gathering Storm is a thing and I can go out shaking hands with all the liars while I wait for it to charge up.
Dodge rolling into a crowd to level it with a jolt punch and yeeting my arc staff at things are both to fun and I haven't stopped using it since 3.0 launched.
Behemoth is a really fun subclass to play, as is revenant in pve. You can have a ton of fun throwing a wall of crystals and then hitting it with a wave frame launcher. When playing as behemoth and the new updates to champions this subclass can deal with unstoppables really quickly
Bememoth never sat right with me because of how it was made. It really just feels like punchy 2.0 but ice crytals. I mean i respect yall for enjoying it though!
So I watched this video then went and grinded out the Behemoth Titan class. Genuinely surprised there isn't more people playing it! It's really fun! Not super powerful, but non stop shatters and overshield make for relaxing gameplay.
For stormcaller I always liked it just because I can go “UNLIMITED POWER!!” Everytime I super. It probably says a lot about me I like to go “die die missile barrage” when using broodweaver as well.
I use Threadrunner mostly in PvE, and use it with Widow's Silk and Threaded Specter on top of Sixth Coyote to make as many threadlings as possible. I kinda prefer it over Broodweaver for that purpose, but maybe I just like the general Hunter neutral a little more than Warlock.
I think my favorite part is how everyone dumped on Strand Titan: "HURF BLURF FISTS 3.0 DURR" and it ends up being one of the best Strand builds in the game
As a dawnblade, I’ve actually been using sunbracers/phoenix protocol since witch queen for the most part. I switch to phoenix protocol for raids, but I love watching everything burn with the sunbracers, and I’ve put a bit of time into making the build I have that let’s me continuously proc helium spirals with nearly no downtime. Been using the sunbracers build for months now, but solar rework really boosted it even further.
@@trustee8503 nah nah nah you're not, I used to main phoenix protocol for a long while until I got my dawn chorus. It wasn't good until this season's Dawnblade buffs and now it's genuinely all I play on Warlock in PvE, Dawn Chorus Daybreak actually feels incredible right now
@@coolguystorm1248 it's possible for the snap alone to proc an ignition, but also chucking Skyburners on allows you to keep enemies scorched for priming ignitions. With Dawn Chorus on you can use it to have nigh unlimited melee energy too.
as an arc strider in pvp i love the elegance of it nothing scratches the itch that that subclass does i’ve been playing it since beta and still miss the one combo they got rid of but too tree was my play house and now that i can combine all three into one i’ve never been happier
I play PVE Broodweaver. I don't use the minions much. Instead, I spread the suspend everywhere with my lovely Necrotic Grips. For PVP, slova bomb all the way. Void has been my PVP jam forever and it is where I will always be. You are hella on point with these. I love this series!
Alternative opinion on Behemoth: You want to stop everyone from having fun by making an unholy amount of ice wall and block your teammates from doing anything.
As someone who's recently come back to the game and is finding great fun with Behemoth, the best part about it is letting your teammates share in the fun. Especially with the diamond lances, bonus points if they're a blueberry or new light who've never seen a Behemoth before or a diamond lance.
That last part about Shadebinder is totally true. Voidwalker + Nezarac's Sin life for me though And Revenant + Frost33s is damn good though ya'll. You should try it. (touch of winter, grim harvest - shards, rime, rending, durance, conduction). Max Resil & Discipline (or close to as possible). High uptime on duskfield grenades.
As a PvE Loreley Splendor guy, yea. Though I must say, Synthoceps do very well with hammer bonks, and Precious Scars is slowly becoming more of a favorite due to the healing technically being better for yourself and teammates
From one Loreley Titan to another you should try Insurmountable Skullfort with seismic strike. You get infinite melee with health regen just like bonk hammer, but now you get to sprint around super fast too. Just don't rely too much on the healing, it's better for braindead strikes.
It's funny, striker and sunbreaker have been my two favourite subclasses in the game since launch D2...then Berserker came around and I gotta say, flying around the map with some ram pants and a grapple is way too fun
This is super accurate. I main arcstrider for PvP and nightstalker for PvE. Arcstrider PvP is just too good because it's very different than other hunter subclasses and nightstalker is perfect for endgame solo content with invis. This is super accurate!
I've always loved Sunbreaker. I've been using as my main it since The Taken King, and no other subclass does it for me. Burning maul is alright, but throwing hammers is way more fun. Not to mention badass.
A great change of pace, for Titans, would be the last darkness subclass, or darkness alternate Supers, summoning an axe, or spear for the Titan to use. Arcstriders already use the staff as a javelin.
as a pve shadebinder, big agree. my favorite thing is freezing combatants as they hop platforms (looking at you tormentor in the final lightfall mission) and watching them plummet into the abyss
Ive been maining Arthrys embrace for pvp for quite sometime and that's a real good pvp build, super satisfying, and is quickly becoming a go to for pve as well. I just think that arhamkaras is easier to use and not many adds need the burst damage Arthas give
I'm maining arc warlock right now and honestly it's just so much fun, able to constantly have speed boost and amplify, plus my little arc orb buddy I can hand to my teammates as well as just having stupidly fast cooldowns even if I haven't specced specifically into them and the fallen sunstar has not left my head in 3 months
You should have done it base off of supers. I like using actually dawnblade not well. Sunbracer or Dawn Chorus is just too fun. I just like watching the world burn and maybe few Explosions on the side. But Void Walker was pretty on the nose.
PvE Gunslinger is correct in the super, but as for the rest of it, there are some different varieties. For myself, I prefer to use Athrys's Embrace when running solar, mainly for that double-bounce weighted throwing knife that can, if done right, deal 128k damage to a champion in a GM. Plus it's fun getting a precision kill with that knife and getting it back. For PvP, I actually run Speedloader Slacks this season with On Your Mark to be a very reload/handling/ae support hunter, but if I ever go into Mayhem, it is Caliban's hand instead, because knifes aplenty.
As a Solar Titan, I stopped using Loreley a while ago and embraced the power of Precious Scars. While not the prettiest exotic, it helps the team stay alive and protected which is more important than just keeping just yourself alive.
Counterpoint to sentinels in pve: Always blocking super/rockets with bubble and barricade, making teammates off themselves or get frustrated because now they can't hit the boss. Also, you hit it right on the head with gunslinger. But I'm a pve main using Ahamkara and gunpowder gamble with knife trick. Unlimited knives + Unlimited explodies.
Totally nailed nightstalker. Been playing as mostly a solo since forsaken, and tether hunter is my heart. Used to play rogue in WoW, but D2 isn't such a time commitment. Love your stuff!
Pvp strand Titan main here, I love watching the entire team string up with abeyant leap and drengars lash before shotgunning each and every one of them into oblivion all while being practically unkillable with Woven Mail. It’s not my fault they grouped up, but it definitely is my fault they can watch each other get picked off right next to one another.
Stasis Lock desc is absolutely true, throwing out turrets and just watching the freeze chains happen is satisfying beyond belief. As for pvp side, Coldsnap, bounce GL shot, profit as now everyone in that corridor is dead or frozen and about to pass away :)
Gotta say having alot of fun with the new stasis warlock exotic, and since renewal kinda sucks I've been playing alot more warlock, it's basically a mini well that has more range and is offensive and with my build I can have 3 stasis turrets (which yes, I have named) and while allowing maximum rift and melee uptime, with omega fast super recharge
Strand Hunter here. Hate PVP with a passion, but the description of "just another day at the office" is fairly accurate. Ask any true strand hunter- they'll tell you that the "What's up danger" scene from Spiderverse is one of the greatest cinema scenes of all time.
You seemed to have missed a few. My buddy plays almost exclusively PvE arc hunter with a punch build using assassin's cowl, and I tend to play solar warlock with either dawn chorus or necrotic or necrotic Strand emphasizing the poison and unravel in PvE.
As one of the very few behemoths on the planet, I am grateful that you are spreading awareness of our species and establishing conservation efforts to bring our numbers back up.
Now what I would like to see would be a "what your build says about you" video, for example you could meme on us radiance warlocks a bit more, mainly on starfire mains, but also to give props to those in pvp and pve who pick up support builds, Like using Lumina and boots of the Assembler. This would be cool in conjunction with suggesting fun but off meta combo's that still work in most content if set up properly.
Right, but you would only be able to do really Iconic builds such as that of Lumina/assemblers, or hyper meta or use to be meta builds such as Starfire. Furthermore, you have to determine what a build is. Fallingstar would not count simply because you are throwing on an exotic to enhance a super. Or maybe it would. That would be a hard video to make.
I love my stormcaller. Even before arc 3.0 I loved goin into nightfalls with stormdancers brace, and a Monte Carlo pulling out my super 7 times XD. Even though the melee doesn't give super energy anymore I love frying my enemies with electricity and giving emotional support 😂
As one of the last behemoth titan mains... I thank you. But your guard is not required... For the frozen furies of the darkest depths of Europa shall be my shield!!
I'm happily an Arcstrider main, but I'm working on my skill with other subclasses so I can be ready for any occasion. At the time of writing this, I can switch between my arc & solar builds in seconds & jump straight back into the fight. However, I wouldn't touch void with a ten foot arcstaff. I just haven't been able to get the hang of it. Update: Been practicing with nightstalker. Still not my favorite, but I can use it if need be.
You play gunslinger because you like the meta. I play gunslinger because of Cayde-6. We are not the same. also, i was tempted to skip to the gunslinger part of the video, but i had a feeling you would call me out for it so i didnt do it.
Gunslinger but I'm a Nighthawk main. Usually paired up with my buddy running a nightstalker. Used it since D1 back when the counters could show over a million damage. "This is the BIGGEST big evil bad to ever evil!" "We're all real tickled to hear you say that! Watching that damage counter max out and your health evaporate is about the closest thing we got to going to the movies."
I used to perma run starfire, but recently swapped to strand/sunbracers and I have to say, sunbracers is going to be better than starfire in all situations other than a boss fight. It's a lot of fun clearing rooms with giant fire balls.
And it’s extremely viable for endgame solo content like dungeons or nightfalls because with a couple techs and the right timing, you can proc infinite restoration x2 and all you have to do there is move around smartly so you don’t get mowed down and you’re golden, even when the burn isn’t solar Edit:sunbracers build, I don’t have anything like that w strand yet
Could do a couple of videos of "What your fav gun archtype says about you (primary edition)" and so on for specials and heavies. I'd be down for watching that sort of stuff. Also for solar warlock you forgot to mention how we like to be that utility player with healing and well of radiance.
As a gunslinger tripmine ahamkara main since d1 year 1 I can say that there was a big buff to tripmines with solar 3.0. If it ends up getting nerfed, I wouldn't be mad as I've used it well before it was ever good. Paired with the fighting lion nowhere on the map is safe.
@@thunderchief7256 that i do, theyre not really a necessity anymore as ive found the current knucklehead to be more usefull, though ive always loved knucklehead, its just a million times better, it sucks the nerf but it was inevitable
Sunbreaker Titan has always been my favourite, as it's endlessly fun lighting an entire mob of low-tier trash mobs on fire. Ashen Wake and Sol Invictus keep the fusion grenades rolling along, and even three and a half years later it never gets old popping my super and using it to beat back a Nightmare in Altars of Sorrow while shouting "YOU... SHALL... NOT... PASS!!"
I remember the time when I could Icarus Dash twice across any map. Sigh, Bungie has taken so much from us Warlocks. Also, BUNGIE! WE NEED THREADLING PLUSHIES!!! 🤣🤣🤣
as a sunbreaker, I was forced to be the melting point guy and learned that ashen wake fusions are surprisingly good for ad clear [kill 3 things with 1 grenade and you have another one immediately]
As a Warlock main, two adjustments: Dawnblade: If you're actually a main, you're not stacking recovery. You don't need it, you don't even want it, Recovery x2 has your back. All you need is 110 Resilience so you can afford to tank a -10 for Empyrean, or the full -40 to turn your entire team invincible. Use quite literally every mod on your arms giving you orbs and energy for everything when you use the freshly reworked close-range on Celestial Fire to sweep an entire crowd. For anyone used to the PvP loadout, try Rain Of Fire with a masterworked Gjallarhorn when your friends need a Well. Broodweaver: Did you know that you can recreate and outcompete Starfire Protocol on this subclass? Witherhoard, Necrotic Grips, Threadling Grenade, Threads of Ascent, Continuity, Evolution and Generation. No more need for Demolitionist, best in class DPS super, you have it all. Probably run a Fusion Rifle matching your Heavy's element for surge mods, ideally with Lead to Gold for uptime.
At first I wanted to ask when the fuck striker was meta, and then Fallout began to slowly deconstruct everything I am as a person. I used to think my playstyle was stupid and unpopular, and I just played it because monkey brain like buckshot. Now here I am being told running around with dunemarchers like a dumbass is meta. At least he was wrong about me using falling star and heart of innermost light as a pve main. I just really like using fists of havoc man, I'm a sucker for the classics.
As one of the few non well solar warlocks I have one thing and one thing only to say. Dawn chorus + touch of flame = massive chaining ignition explosions.
I usually main arc warlock for the extremely long pve super and ability regen you get with stormcrown. Having stormtrance last for what feels like a minute at a time is just so damn fun, and the arc buddy helps a lot.
As a shadebinder main, you’re correct. I also have 111 ghost in the night medals from mayhem turret spamming at the back of the map. It’s one of the funniest things in the world tbh. If someone gets close I pop my super or freeze them via my rift.
i’ve been playing dawnblade for awhile now because i couldn’t get enough of the insane damage output, but this season with the arc buffs i’m remembering how much i love my lil arc buddy
I’m not a revenant main but boy do I sure love it, I feel so powerful for some reason, just getting to wipe out a group of enemies with a single melee or grenade feels so satisfying
