Destiny had a lot of fun participating in DylanBurns Hippy Dippy championship debate, an elimination format debate featuring some of the biggest names in the twitch politics sphere.
You should have looked up some of the self-diagnosis stats. I think dropping the data on how brutal people are at self-diagnosis and how doctors are substantially better then that would make DM’s brutalness even more apparent
I'm slow so it took me years to realize this, but the only reason Destiny talks fast is because nobody let's him finish a fucking sentence so he's gotta get his point out hyperspeed or he'll never get a word in.
Yeah, that’s exactly why. It’s not gish galloping, as some people think it is - just an absolute struggle to finish a single point without getting constantly interrupted. Destiny himself has said this is the reason he talks so fast.
I really struggle to tell when Destiny is "talking fast" versus "talking normally." I can tell when he slows himself down for stupid/slow conversation partners. But "rapstiny" a lot of the time just seems like the pace Destiny is casually comfortable with.
Me: I like my coffee black, I dislike the taste of creamer DemonMama: Look, I understand that you like coffee, and that your preferred choice in consuming your coffee, a widely consumed beverage afterall, is not the most popular, and that's your choice, I am not disputing your ability to make choices, but this is why I like creamer... Dylan: 15 seconds DemonMama: wow not even a chance to respond to the assertion
@@ayo0702 Yeah but as long as you admit that you where wrong to beguin with, just rolling with it as it was the original argument is really slimy in my opinion.
For me it is a 3-way tie. -That statement -"Down Syndrome Avengers" which I prefer to imagine he labelled "Skeptic community" that. -Demon Mama is Central Committee if Vaush is Hassan
I gotta hand it to DemonMama, it’s very rare talent which not many people have, to be able to talk this much but actually say nothing in the process. It’s quite impressive.
A lot of people make this accusation of debate opponents, but no, it ACTUALLY fits here. She genuinely does not make that many subsistent points, it's just a ton of setup with a critical lack of payoff in the conclusion. Super frustrating to watch.
@@RolaiEckolo I think the most frustrating thing about this is that it's such an asinine point and it shouldn't even be fucking debated. Do not self-diagnose a full blown disease or problem with it's own symptoms. Simple. Fucking prime example of the American education system DemonMama is.
It's not impressive. It's literally just the stroking chin pepe emote - and there's a whole flow chart for that shit (seethe, cope, rent free, dilate, etc).
I thought she was memeing about being salty at first but Demon Mama was so fucking upset that she goes back and forth on wether or not she wants a rematch with Destiny like 4 times, poor Dylan just wanted to have a fun gameshow.
@@neverusingthisagain2 He wanted this to be blood sports, but in good spirits. He constantly compares it to wrestling which has drama but it's also fake.
@@onodatboi9041 Do comments like these actually do anything? Besides making you look like an asshole, I feel like it would only serve to bolster their victim mentality, arguments and offers an opportunity for them to look sympathetic instead of the obvious dumbass they are.
@@fatcat22able Yeah, but if they refuse to acknowledge they were wrong, there is nothing that keeps them from going straight back to spouting the obscenely harmful rhetoric after the debate's over.
Eternal victim DM. "Oh, everyone is lying about and misquoting me" DM. Also passive aggressive and constantly attacking everyone else's character at the beginning of all of their explanations, but hates when people throw shit back DM.
To be honest, everyone retreats to those low blows when they feel attacked. And in this one, she was rightfully being shat on by everyone. Destiny also does something similar when 5 people at the same time come up to him with room temperature IQ points on Prime's panels
BC: "Self diagnosis is by far the most important thing because doctors can't be trusted." AD: "Self diagnosis can be a useful tool to help doctors make their diagnosis."
@@AssailantLF is there any evidence of gender identity existing? Because it seems bizarre to me that apparently humans (and *only* humans) evolved a hardwired trait that serves zero evolutionary purpose and which apparently goes wrong (ie doesn’t match their sex) in a significant part of the population. It also seems unbelievable to me that this one sexed part of the brain has absolutely no impact on the regulation of sex hormones.
@@pilaralmazan01 nah fam I think that the implication was that Redacted leeches off Hasan and she does the same to Vaush. If she was Vaush's Redacted that would imply that Vaush is her Destiny, but Redacted and Destiny are not friendly to each other like DM is to Vaush. Or maybe I'm wrong, idk.
No, she is not wrong ALL the time! Admitting being wrong doesnt mean ure proud of it. Also , Did u know ure debate lord Destiny is also wrong sometimes. He never admit though.
I love how DM can speak for 2+ mins straight and the host says "Let her finish!". When someone else speaks for longer than 30 seconds he's like "STOP! We're going to go to demon momma." Lmao
@@begetasama7209 Sprout only ever goes one level deep into the analysis of any problem tho. If people are making more money with the unemployment insurance, that says something about the wages these people make on the job. There's also other reasons people may not want to go back to work. Fear of Covid, poor working conditions, lack of fulfillment, etc. Sprout completely ignores all of that tho, and just says that not ending the insurance was the problem. Also Destiny mentioned that most economists believe the unemployment insurance only had a marginal impact on people going back to work. Don't know if that's true, but Sprout ignored that as well
@@noahthenormal unemployment insurance and boosted jobless benefits are totally different. I have emails from one of my produce distributor passing along statements DIRECT from producers that employees are slow to come back due to benefits.

@@asimplewizard actually he was confusing him with some rando on twitter who was saying dumb stuff during the “if you invite a date to your house, it’s probably for sex” arc.
The funniest part is when they agreed to do a revote and when Destiny won the revote, the one person who voted for DM lost their shit and tried to get the revote thrown out. Lmao
It's not an unfair criticism or bottom of the barrel when the person he delegated the job to didn't care to take it seriously. If she had done even a passable job, the criticism would be much less fair.
She vehemently stated it's all about self diagnosis multiple times and then after Destiny she just starts pretending she was about "identifying your own symptoms" all along and everyone else were stupid into thinking anything else...as if we don't have multiple videos of evidence.
@@begetasama7209 lmao grab some pizza its worth watching lmao. i dont want to spoil anything, but ctv and destiny had this weird alliance during the aftermath. i was dying from laughter the entire night lol.
@@Bolizen they had to. She's on a panel of people and occupying half the time on the issue(s). She's too busy reeling off her spiel for minutes on end. Succinct is definitely not a word in her lexicon.
True. I'm pretty slim and every time my obese aunt sees me she says something along the lines of "wow you look so skinny, do you ever eat?" And my response is always "wow you look fat, do you ever exercise?" Somehow she always sees my comment as offensive but hers is perfectly acceptable.
Right? I was always slim. And, if it wasn’t someone saying “do you ever eat?” It was the oh so boring “oh….a stiff breeze would sweep you away, girl”! I’m older now, and although I’m still only a size 10, I fill my clothes out more, and seem to avoid these passive aggressive comments. Menopause….who’d have thought it was the cure to bitchy comments lol. Just know that your heart thanks you for being slim. ❤
I think I'm spoiled from watching Destiny over the years but it seems like everyone else that was on the call has massive amounts of trouble laying out their points without using theatrics as a stand in for examples, data, or really anything. This more just feels like a show to farm BloodSport clips from than a real discussion about anything being brought up. I'm all for the yelling matches but I was expecting something very different when Dylan introduced the members on the call as the "Most Popular Members of the Political Content Sphere" (or something like that not sure if thats exactly what he said).
@@Jonathanking88 whatever you say. I barely know who Demon Mama is where is I can your one of those weird ass people who watch peoples content out of spite. Truly, go get a life.
This panel is filled with absolutely atrocious economic takes, thank god none of them are in charge of economic policy because soooo much that was being argued for has absolutely blown up in everyone's face.
I love that the final tie vote Demon asked for a recount and a vote was taken from Demon and given to Destiny for the win, she was crushed haha! She was super cringe.

Cant wait until this issue gets solved...
Jesus Christ I'm only an hour in and I just want Demonmama to get voted out already. It's been an hour of just listening to her constantly say that she needs to respond to people when no one else seems to get that privilege.
it baffles me that a trump supporter is arguing that the vice pres. and/or pres. need to visit the border personally because of precedent. Why are you all the sudden worried about precedent? you know a few other precedents? conceding an election when youve lost, giving the incoming administration access to white house briefings, not interfering in an investigation into yourself by firing the person in charge of it. but now that bidens in office im suddenly in favor of precedent
@@alex-qd6of it’s not stupid, the only reason she made those arguments is to imply medical professionals can’t always be trusted, but that makes no sense if she’s honest in saying you should always go to a medical professional to get a more accurate diagnosis. she got called out on her shit, so she changed her argument and now it made her a hypocrite
Please stop giving Demon Mama any attention, she's horrible to whatever community she serves. So odd that she says Destiny is toxic when she's is x10 more than him or anyone. She's insufferable.
@1:14:02 Using windows self diagnosis tool as an argument for self diagnosis of mental health is the stupidest and most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time.
I truly cannot fathom someone finding Demon Mama praiseworthy or admirable. Just utterly pathetic, and the amount of times she needs Dylan to set aside special time just for her.
Yes. And every time they visit a doctor and “fail” to get the diagnosis they WANT(?) they will learn from their mistakes and better be able to trick (I honestly couldn’t think of a more generous word) the next doctor into giving them what they want.
It's kind of a mix. She's not disingenuous so much as she has no real principles to adhere to, so she'll bend herself to fit whatever ideology gets her clicks from Twitter addicts.
I think the best strategy for everyone would of been to just let DemonMamma go on her long pedantic diatribes without any interruptions from anyone and make Dillon have to call her on it every single time and I'm sure that would get old really quick in the eyes of most judges and/or outside observers.
CTV is loud, bombastic and quite antagonistic (I am a poet and unaware of that fact), but he's also quite smart, considerate, and insightful when he wants to be.
This is a perfect indictment of what happens when a generation learns almost everything about history and current events from a smattering of half vetted online sources , self curating their own knowledge without the skills to do so. Jack of a billion trades, master of none.
DemonMama constantly talking over people, to riff about personal issues while also contributing nothing but words sans substance, was infuriating. I don't know why she lasted so long, jesus fuck
Imagine talking almost half of every round when there's 6+ people, having a heavy chunk of the contestants going easy on you and giving you softballs, then going on this rant at the end about how you've put so much more work into this, made promos etc and then LOSING to the guy you hate who just showed up and talked. Bet it hurt deep.
Am I missing something? Why exactly is Demon Mama droning on and on tolerated from the panel host and the rest of the guests? Is it bc she'll throw a fit about how oppressed she is and she's being strawmanned and silenced, or?
"Everyone is fighting a straw man of what they THINK my point is, wonder why that is. Hmm." Oh I dunno DM, could be because you change your argument whenever it becomes untenable. It's insane how someone who's constantly berating people over their rhetoric is now saying stuff that's so potentially damaging and irresponsible, then saying it isn't what she meant.
38:27 because... as edgy as it sounds, Some people are monsters beyond redemption. There are some people out there where it feels wrong even calling them human after what theyve willingly and with a clear conscience have done to another. also, i love how it basically went -DM says something stupid that makes her look bad -people try to interpret what she said to make her look less stupid -DM says that theyre wrong and backs up her take that makes her look stupid
whats interesting to me is how the chat shows how much they care about drama more than the issues at hand. i mean demonmama did absolutely more harm than good for the entire talk and she was not voted off. idk weird too me she is my first pick i think
On the plus side for Dylan, the shitshow about the voting at the end and DM getting Big Mad about losing effectively raised the legitmacy and value of 'the belt'. Looking forward to Destiny's run as heel champ lol
Even with a timer, she talks so much that I can't watch this. The end is gold tho. Vhadim (idk how to spell his name) switching his vote was hilarious AF. Demonmama thinking that participation and making promos should get her the win was fkn adorable. Anyways, have a wonderful day, memers
Wait, what was the ''shoutout'' to VerminHands about? I knew she talked shit about him in Vaush chat but was there something more recent I dont know about?
I love the contrast between the statements in the final topic of why they deserve to win. Destiny: I'm a madman and burn bridges with anyone to make content for you assholes. Hunter: I dunno I just wanna. DemonMama: I'm great and I show up therefore I deserve it.
Damn, I'd be a little miffed if I lost by a technicality as well. I guess Dylan should have just swapped winners once he found that she had won more points by their rank choice dealio and I'm assuming that was what DM was expecting to happen. When Dylan wasn't going to do that though, and they were problem shooting solutions, it became absolutely transparent that she didn't really care about who ought to have won, and was just looking to yoink the belt anyway possible. Her first dig was, lets do another debate, right now, and just get it over with. Dylan was thinking logistically and how to work around making another debate happen, and lets be real, farm content from it in the best possible way. So he was opposed to that, but did ask Destiny to comeback for another debate (he had to do a podcast though). After she realized they weren't going to do another debate immediately the argument started shifting over to a re-vote, which every one accepted and all the judges participated in. And this is where the story gets kind of hilarious. Because it turns out her loss by a technicality would have actually been a win for her by a technicality. One of the judges brain farted his vote, and upon a revote chose Destiny as his second, because it was either unclear or he didn't really think about it when making his 2nd and 3rd choices. The argument then continues and prior points are brought up again even when its clear she had really lost. Vadim (one of the judges) cried a little about how he didn't want to really do a revote. They brought that Critical numbnuts guy in to yell at everyone, he didn't really contribute much (I'm pretty sure Dylan was just having a laugh at this point because of how silly it was). Overall 9/10 I'd say.
The brain is a very powerful thing. Never diagnose yourself because you can actually do more harm. My grandmother was told by a doctor that he believed she had early dementia. My grandmother got lost going to church that she had been driving to for years. Scared her so bad that she wouldnt drive after that anyways turns out she didnt have dementia. Have none of these people have ever heard of the nocebo effect and the placebo effects. The reason they keep who gets the placebo a mystery is because they saw that even the people who didnt get the placebo but thought that they might have gotten the placebo did way better then those who knew they never got the placebo. Stress and release of cortisone is harmful. While physical and mental are very different the outcomes and creating a situation of believing you have something when you dont can result in anxiety and the brain causing mayhem. (And when I mean physical I mean more severe like Heart disease, Cancer, and etc)
this is the better version of rajjroyale. People who have a basic understanding of what they're talking about and a good moderator with the same elimination twist.
I have to admit I really enjoyed it when ctv was brought on. He basically nullified DMM's rethoric of arguing against claims which weren't actually made by calling it out: "How do you get to the n-word when he said uncle tom?"
