The most tragic part about this masterpiece is that the only place it appears is in a section of the game that can easily be beaten before it ever has a chance to finish. Such a waste of amazing material.
I still don't understand why so much of the original score for destiny is never seen outside of 1 mission or raid even though so much of it is amazingly well done.
+Thegenerator100 He didn't quit he was fired for caring about artistic integrity in the music of the game and not letting Activision dictate what music got used. Activision and Bungie disagreed with him.
I watched this game come to life. I will watch it die as well. I love Destiny despite its shortcomings. This track by itself gives me chills from vibrant flashbacks to its mission of origin.
Destiny is the shit its never gonna die. But lets just hope fortnite does so that way maybe people would go back some games like destiny or halo. Idc what you think thia game is fucking awsome
Its not even dead, just because you dont see fucking datto doing videos about it its not dead. Theres always people in tower and reef etc and people activily play it and start new characters, game is dead only when nobody plays it.
''The greatest champions of The Darkness that stood against you have been defeated. Face them once more, teach them fear...'' - The Speaker, Age Of Triumph Trailer
holy shit. i've been playing this game for so long... i remember when i'd play the demo on the PS3 and i'd always listen to this... now in Destiny 2 that same starter mission is back and i just played it god... the nostalgia, i had to come back to this goddamn masterpiece, thank god.
I used to just replay this mission for the soundtrack. I can still picture hive coming out of the portals in their ship as I used Suros Regime and lit them up. Best song in Destiny 1!
@@dustyfedoraI think my first exotic gun was Universal Remote and I got it from a crucible game 😂 and my first exotic armor piece was Knucklehead Radar which I bought from Xur. Lol that seems like only a couple years ago.
Ashton Hill I also thought it was neat how this was the last main mission in the beta and it showed you pictures of the other destinations in the game.
Too bad it's wasted on pitiful waves of enemies. Thinking back, it could really have used some big enemies just to make it seem more epic, or at least a fleet of some sort, not just a ship every now and again.
+preston marrott Technically you can't even compare Destiny and Pokemon soundtracks because they're so radically different. One is a soundtrack about the struggle between light and dark, the races of the Darkness, the battles between you and them, triumph, defeat, and ultimately the story of the Guardians versus the Darkness. The soundtrack is largely orchestral, and is mostly about that "epic" feel. The other is a soundtrack about you becoming the very best, like no one ever was, as you work to capture Pokemon both common and rare alike, and ultimately the story of how you became the best. The soundtrack is largely upbeat.
6 years later and this is still my favorite song from any video game of all time. I remember that I used to replay the mission over and over and would deliberately not kill too many enemies just so I could listen to this song. Destiny has such an amazing soundtrack.
Honestly same, i was listening to halo sountracks and this song just kinda came to my mind, as much of a shit show destiny 1 was, i really played the hell out of it, and i miss it haha
Probably one of the most criminally underrated soundtracks of history. It was completely overshadowed by it's bad launch and future controversy's in terms of DLC and content. It's easily on par with Halo 2's OST. Definitely one of Marty's and Mike's best works.
This might be the best orchestral song ever. Not the greatest, but the best. It gives goosebumps every time. And it reminds me of Star Wars and Mass Effect like some beautiful combination of the two.
Ever played thriville off the rails? there was a ww2 plane mini game that had amazing soundtrack was made by LucasArts so you know it's good. Hartz mountain was the best for sure
Thrillville off the rails Luffewaffe 109 also shared the soundtrack of another LucasArts game called secret weapons over Normandy, Harz mountains is the best Ost hands down, it sounds just like starwars
To be honest, this is good music for ghost trying to make communication with every other planet to see what's beyond earth, while you fight the hive who attempt to stop him.
@@imza5535 Maybe. Unfortunately i dont have near as fond memories playing through vanilla of D2, as i did that alone. D1 was amazing because i first experienced it with 2 other people.
Old Destiny Soundtracks are being purged from RU-vid by a partner of Bungie, sent to enforce Bungie’s Copyright claims. All of my saved Destiny 1 Soundtracks are gone. All except this one. I pray this stays up. Last Array is a great Soundtrack that should not be relegated to the fog of Destiny History and the minds of those who’ve heard it, in that mission or in the Age of Triumph Trailer.
@@TridyriumX GREAT. There are reports of Bungie’s Legal Action against those who’ve done this. If you haven’t seen this news yet, you honestly should. Bungie is setting them alight.
I literally play this level and turn my headphones all the way up when the tomb ships are coming before I grind the vanguard playlist just to get that adrenaline of epicness flowing through my vains
I've never played Destiny. I had a friend recommend the soundtrack to me as something to play on piano. After thumbing through a few songs and being relatively impressed (Cabal Stomp is good), there was this track. I had to sit down, it is that phenomenal. It's been two years. I still haven't played Destiny. But I love. This. Track.
This brings back so much nostalgia. I can still remember my buddy and I running through this underleveled and laughing about how the mission had been a breeze so far... and then the Array came up, and we just sat there as the hive transport ships rolled in. I still remember the last thing my buddy and I said before we had to repeat that part several times: “‘dude’... ‘yeah?’... ‘I think we’re fucked...’”
My favorite track from Destiny. It feels a bit wasted on such a mundane mission though. This should've been a raid boss theme! Also, it reminds me of the airship levels of Super Mario Bros 3...:-)
6 years since this monster of a game was released. Thank you, Bungie for not only bringing us a breathtaking game but an equally amazing soundtrack to go with it.
This is awesome as I’m currently walking really fast to get to my house because I gotta take a dump and I got this song playin so it’s makin me feel like I’m in a intense mission or doing something really important and intense
I remember doing the Daily Heroic for this mission, and it was honestly such a tough battle at times that I ended up listening to large portion of the song before I managed to complete the mission. And in the odd occasion where I did actually die, I reveled in the fact that I'd be able to hear this awesome tune all over again. Not many games are able to do that to a person. So thank you, Bungie, and Michael Salvatori, for the cherished memories.
This single sound track is better than anything i've heard in Destiny 1 or Destiny 2. Deep stone lullaby isn't even halfway as good as this masterpiece!
I don't know if they intentionally skip to this part at the end, but I completed the mission in perfect timing with 3:10 which completely left me in awe. I remember this mundane mission vividly only because of this score and the emotions it brought with it. This gave me intense goosebumps and pumped me up massively for the remaining gameplay. What a masterpiece.
This is the only song that I have truly cherished in my destiny 1 and 2 career. It's such a wonderful peice of work. If only the put the same effort into the game as the music, it would be the best game in the world
