People forget that Letoya is the only member beside Beyonce to ever have a number one album on any of the billboard charts, hell she had two. She beat out Pharrell in 2006 and Lady Love went #1 on the R&b charts in 2009. Kelly has never gotten a #1 yet
And kelly is the the only destiny's member beside beyonce with more than two number one hits in America and overseas ( france, United Kingdom, Germany etc... as a solo artist she also has a Grammy, a billboard award, soul award, a bet award, a dance award and few grammys nominations, mtv nominations, bet nominations etc.. so don't think letoya is the second best when kelly is clearly the second best destiny's child. One more thing overall kelly sold 27 millions of record worldwide.
Yes kelly hasn't got a number 1# album on billbord yet, she has 3 top then album on billbord 200(3,4,7) to be exact. On the other hand, letoya hasn't got a number 1# song in America and overseas yet too
😂😂 Letoya's second album flopped once people got over the hype of an unheard Destiny's Child member. Letoya has a #1 album but only in the US. Kelly has the better career. What's a solo career spanning 15 years to one #1 album?
Love hearing Kelly singing the high part here, and, the harmony that she and Beyonce have is extraordinary! Just sounds so amazing! Also, although she's the smallest of the bunch, Latavia's voice is so deep. Sounds almost like a guy is singing with them. Still, this was incredible! Really miss the original manifestation of Destiny's Child:(
I don't know what some fools is talking about when they say Letoya and Latavia can't sing, cuz they're both singing here, and they sound very good. Check out how DC sounds at the end of this, you have the four of them singing in harmony (singing live, too), and they sound amazing!

Beyonce came to slay. This is one of my favorite performances she literally had no wrong note and sounded better than the album version. I just wish that they turned the chorus off like the actual track cause that was them in their prime and only close to the end could you hear all four women come together and harmonize. 👌🏾
This is what I don't get when people say that TLC is better than DC. Vocally these girls are just on another level. The way they harmonized at such a young age, and the fact that Beyonce and Kelly wrote and produced a lot of their hits, like how can you say objectively that TLC's or Spice Girl's music is better. For sure TLC has some amazing songs but in terms of talent there's just no comparison. This is just an opinion. I can see why Beyonce became such a huge star, she just had that it factor. She had that musicality when it came to vocals that only a real professional would have. Her and Brandy were just top tier vocally in their generation.
Kelly is in tune. I wish ppl who dont sing stop talkin about wat they dont know. That is a really good blend. I think Letoya would have been just as capable as Kelly. Ppl always tryin to down Kelly bcause she isnt Beyonce. Beyonce has a beautiful voice as well but everybody has their own individual sound. Respect that or dont watch their videos
The onliest reason why I checked this was to hear Beyonce and Kelly singing harmony. They sounds so good singing together. And, hearing those lovely highs that Kelly can pull off just gives me goosebumps! Man, hearing them all harmonizing at the end, it just doesn't get any better then that:)

Folks trying to front on LeToya and LaTavia. They are singing the song just as it is on the album: two part harmony on the verses and 4 part harmony on the chorus. Don't act like L & L talents weren't up to the task if they were given the opportunity.

@DANTEKING24 That's not fair. Beyonce's father didn't want LeToya and LaTavia getting any shine and even when other producers wanted them to sing lead he put a stop to it. He even stopped Kelly from singing more leads. R.L. from the group Next said he wanted Kelly to sing lead on another duet they wanted the groups to do and Mathew said no.
@@nickhudson53 It was years ago, I don't remember. On RU-vid try looking up Next speaking on Mathew and regarding LeToya and LaTavia, I think it was an interview with Miss Jones.
All girl groups I know say that the PRODUCER CHOOSES who sings what part. Whoever sounds best and does it fastest. That's why Beyonce started writing and producing on their second album

@Eriq7001 I listened to the song, and Latavia sounded nice (well, to me she did). But, her thing was singing the bottom (the deepest vocal part). Also, she wasn't meant to have a strong voice like Beyonce, Kelly, or Letoya. She would just play her part in the song (singing that very low vocal part). And, with Beyonce, Kelly, and Letoya singing with her, they would create an incredible harmony!
@jarbon5 Currently Letoya Luckett is still working on her third cd- but im not sure if Capitol Records dropped her on not. I looked on Capitol Records and she is still listed on there roster. I wish she sould focus more on meatier acting roles. Most of the roles she has been in are small parts in b- movies. She can definetly act!
Beyonce and Kelly almost sound like they are related.... Their voices harmonize and blend so well together! You usually find that with blood family members..
In Destiny's Child group, I particularly liked Kelly Rowland's voice, she has a high, sweet and all-purpose voice ... In my humble opinion, Kelly Rowland could and still can sing any verse of any Destiny's Child song ...
@jarbon5 Well you have the right to your opiniomn which I respect. One thing I liked about Latavia is that she choose not to pursue music as an adult and move on to other POSITIVE things. In which the experience with the Knowles was a negative part of her life as a chuild performer.

ACTUALLY IT WAS BOTH... MATHEW DIDN'T WANT THE GIRLS TO SING BECAUSE HE ONLY WANTED BEE TO DO THE LEAD VOCALS AND SOME OF THEIR PRODUCERS ONLY WANTED BEE TO LEAD BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO SAVE MONEY & SHE WAS THE QUICKEST AT RECORDING WITHOUT TOO MANY MISTAKES.
@anjelheaven I recored a performance where they actually sang and you could hear their parts in the harmony. I've got to find it and post. You're so right. They were not allowed. Music they lead on was only realeased in Houston. Toya has had a chance to prove her voice but LaTavia had personal trials. She took care of her ill grandparents.
This was the in the 90s. Who sang what and who didn't is irrelevant. The foursome dc broke up in what? 99? And dc3 broke up in I think 05. They can't go back and change the vocal arrangements. Enjoy the music and let go.
@Eriq7001 I know that she and Letoya formed a group called Anjel after they left DC, but that went nowhere. They recorded a song dealing with the things they had gone through being with DC and it's break up (Moving On), nice song, too. I'm of the thought that "Survivor" was made as a response to that song. Anyway, the song never came out because the company that was handling the group fell through, and the group broke up. Oh well:(
@jarbon5 Currently LeToya Luckett is stilled signed on to Capitol Records roster. Due to the poor selling cd "Lady Love" she has been working on a new cd fro about 6 months now. I think Capitol might try to release it in 2011. Im not sure how along the recording is coming along. There hasnt been any info or songs released.
