Today on The Skid Factory Al Addresses a couple of things on the Patrol that he wasn't happy with after finishing the conversion, One of them was a change of Turbocharger but Captain Snap Ring didn't want to co operate which ended in disaster.
Thanks to Matt from Double Duty Diesel for being very helpful throughout the build and helping out with the Turbo

Excellent attitude about this. Mistakes like this keep you humble. Many years ago I had the front end of my '03 Mach 1 repaired after hitting a deer. Cobra bumper swap and all that good stuff. Looked great. 1 week later, I had a moment of weakness (more and more rare as I've gotten older), was on a back road by myself, thought I'd try to feel cool powering out of a very low speed tight corner, back end came out, tank slapped back and forth, was on brakes but still had just enough momentum in it for me to gently roll into a grass embankment. Screwed the front end up a bit. I ended up repainting/repairing the bumper myself, was okay but shit compared to professional job but.. oh well. I felt I didn't deserve a nice, shiny bumper after that. Spent years having to look at it every time I got in the car. Or people asking why the front bumper looked like crap. That was my punishment. Lesson learned.

This is my favourite episode of TSF ever… not because of your misfortune but because of your humility, takes a good bunch of people to teach people it’s alright to fall over and that shit happens sometimes and that it’s sweet to keep your chin up despite being disappointed in yourself . A lot of people out there could use a bit of this advice. Keep up the great work 👍

Wondering how long it takes before Al replaces the p pump with the common rail/electric pump from the 6.7.

You mean tunable injection? Novel concept. Btw, p-pumps ARE digital, they work in binary. On or off. Thats all you get.......

Bit of an Oof moment, but I'm glad you've used this as a teaching moment for all the embarrassed lads who fucked up and didn't want to admit an oopsie
