you can't disagree that separate dodge button is much better than target + jump button highly depends on enemy's position, especially when you facing multiple enemies
Depends on the game honestly. DMC is already so busy with how much shit is assigned to each button that assigning all your evade options to target + X makes sense in order to give players access to as many moves and options as possible. Letting go of lock-on and jumping in any direction will let you evade pretty much everything anyways, it only really becomes a hinderance if you're trying to do table hoppers in a crowded room to look cool.
@@gitcrunked last is the thing I'm saying, I try to be "cool" in most fights, but it's so uncomfortable, if only game didn't affect your movement speed and have switchable targets, not sure if this is really good idea, but always wanna try it
@@Jason_Silent Not sure which game you're playing but if its DMC5 you could try using this trainer www.nexusmods.com/devilmaycry5/mods/369 One of the options turns the lock on into a toggle if you don't like holding down R1. Playing Nero might be a bit difficult since you need to turn off lock on to use regular devil breaker moves and buster, and you'd lose access to omnidirectional trickster dashing with Dante if you're always locked on, but I'd imagine everything else should be mostly fine.
