From my backlog I played through Homeworld 1, original version on my crappy PC tablet. Why did it take so long for me to play this amazing game? Now I'm playing no new games, just backlog and having the time of my life. I also just finished Independence War 2. So amazing.
Love this video series, I tried to do a video series myself similar to this ages ago but I ultimately decided not to because i thought it was boring and I’m indecisive
The 2020s is the decade of amazing mods, and feels like no one is talking about it. 2020 had Black Mesa, one of the best remake ever made 2021 had Portal Reloaded, one of the most brilliant puzzle game to come out... well since portal 2 2022 had Entropy Zero 2, the closest thing we'll prob ever get to Half Life 2 Episode 3 2023 had Celeste Strawberry Jam, one of the most impressive community effort I've ever seen for a mod, over 350 people worked on it, and it is a platformer's fan wet dream
I've just started Deep Rock Galactic because I found out it had a solo mode with a robot drone buddy and I'm officially part of the cult now. Rock and stone. It's the opposite of a backlog destroyer though because I'm 20 hrs in and I'm like, "Okay, I think I understand the basics now."
I actually just wrapped up the metro series just the other day. Played through all 3 back to back and yea they were great. Can't say the story is super great but they excel at immersion and there isn't much out there that nails it like metro does.
There's a free demo called heartworm and even though the VHS style has been saturated, it really brings something else to the table.(this is not my game)
im working through my backlog now and im about halfway through sea of stars. so far im loving it but its definitely a long game (35-40 hrs depending on your play style)
75 games beat in 2023, 20 minutes short of 76 with mega man 6. Some recent standouts are stuff like mega man 1-6 on steamdeck, a lot of platinum hunting on ps5 with stuff like pirate warriors 4 and hades. The steamdeck will definitely help on my steam pc side of things, I’m also hoping to play more psvr 2 and continue with plats on ps5 in 2024.
the skyrim joke was great XD I always got surprised when something leveled up. (no spoiler) I am currently playing persona 5 royal and pokemon scarlet + DLC. I am 30+ hours into persona 5 royal. So far it is fun and it has the best fighting system in the series so far. But it is long so I need breaks between playing it. I am replaying pokemon scarlet and the first DLC, because I mistakenly deleted my save file. I want to play the new DLC, so I have been playing while listening to youtube videos. I am looking forward to being done with both games, I would like to play something new, but unfortunately I believe the next games I need to work on is Hades and Immortal Fenyx rising, which are games I have already started but not finished. They are great but I am ready for something new. (^^") Happy new year and good luck with getting through games.
It's frustrating how many people do not describe Jedi Survivor accurately. Jedi Survivor has a parry mechanic and the a similar checkpoint system to Sekiro but that's about it. Jedi Survior has very little in common with Uncharted. The platforming is much faster and deeper than Uncharted and Tomb Raider, it has far more in common with games like Ratchet and Clank, GOW 3, Prince of Persia and even Sonic Adventure 2. I can understand thinking Sekiro is better (despite being 2 vastly different games) but Uncharted does not come close to Survivor. I really don't think people gave Jedi Survivor a fair shake because people just incorrectly describe the game. The game is not "Uncharted/Sekiro in space with light sabers" but is more of an action platformer like Ratchet and Clank or Prince of Persia.
When did Jedi survivor get optimized cuz I heard 0 news on it I really liked shadow warrior 1 being standard horde shooter FPS But yeah 2 is the Weakest in the trilogy
I actually tried playing mass effect Andromeda about a month ago and I couldn't do it idk how I played and beat it back when it came out and was completely busted
In December got through like 7 games? Most were on the shorter end but Ive started yakuza 0 and gonna do my best to get the Plat on Playstaion so that should take some time
