I think 'effort' is important. just as important as failure. Why would anyone not want to put the effort in to make a decent piece of work? Great work as usual Max.
11:10 , would really appreciate the key command overlay the way you had it before! While basic modelling knowledge should be known in advance to follow your information, there are times where you'll quickly select and modify things in a blink of an eye and even saying "inset this, scale this" leads me to try and use the same tools but not receive the same results. I don't mind watching in slow motion and clicking the same buttons!
Other artist - you have to have years of knowledge for making such complex artwork Meanwhile max hay - its just a bunch of cubes...snapped together....😂😂😂 Love your artwork...❤❤ Big fan of your work thanks max... ❤❤❤
Doing everything practically takes what we call "design eye" which comes with observation and trial and error mostly which is experience and knowledge. But when professionals distill down their experience, beginners can get a good headstart if they are good observers with certain tastes. In all artistic jobs "The taste and the keen eye for design " is what pro artists are being hired for. Otherwise, anyone can kit bash. You can check out blender guru's "Fixing your renders" video and see that the only difference he makes is changing the assets, lighting, and composition. Not much Technically complex stuff but his "taste" comes from years of experience and observation. My point is to observe the masters and real life well, develop a taste and within time anyone can be a decent creative rather than staying in the "student" phase.
mixing different buildings all together so you can get the depth and shading you'd want to see for good detail seems to work perfectly on dystopian like renders like the one you made yourself. it looked great and i think you nailed what you were going for. now without wanting to sound lazy (lmao), does anyone know how to sort of cheat detail in city buildings? not sky scrapers from a far, but like street buildings (imagine what you would see from a not so tall rooftop idk) like actual detail somehow and saving a bit of work, cuz i've been hand modeling some buildings and tho I'll eventually be able to get a cenary done, i feel like i could use some tips from fellow blender users as well. thanks either way
What about the topology would it be enough to just mesh automatically since these buildings will not be animated or such? Wouldn't intersecting models create messed up topology counter-effecting the texturing phase or lighting situations?
i have noticed this in many of your videos that when you explain your artwork, it seems like you are in a rush or you explain it like (yeah whatever) i suggest plz explain it a bit thoroughly if you can . so that an individual can connect, so in that way an individual can extract much more value out of your videos
Really talented artist but poor teacher. Had to watch this at 2x normal speed... First 7 minutes = ''This looks really complicated but i will show you how it's done in a minue ... repeat''.
