Firstly, my congratulations for a nice and precise machine, I have one question, the big motor of the tensioner, how does it operate, It takes distance information from the measuring strip and does what? Is it holding or is it releasing...the spool or both and in that case it could be a stepper as well... I know it is a very long time ago. Thank you for your time. regards AE

If I needed 4300 ohms of impedance on the primary and 8ohms on the secondary for audio output transformer for 4 6v6gt's (the impedance measurement came from an old 1950's schematic) what would be your method for determining the specifics of the core and number of turns. Do you just simulate it with software?
