My oncologist in Scottsdale added this fee the second zoom call we had. He has ordered an MRI and prescribed ONE medicine. That’s it. And yet they added $18.34 as the g2211 fee. I was livid as I had already paid a $100 copay. Many office personal could not figure out what the fee was for. Finally someone told me it was a “relationship” fee basically. I can’t believe it. I’m bleeding money and they want to charge me for having a relationship with me?? Can you tell me what exactly the money pays for. Does it pay for the office managing my account, for example seeing if something is in-network or out-of network? Would that be a part of longitudal relationship and managing patient care? Where can I find the code manual?

Such a vague code. You could basically use it in every pt ..for ex diabetics or hypersensitive pts

my supervising urologist states that using this leads to an automatic review, 6 month delay and 50% acceptance rate so its not worth the effort. How would you respond to this claim?

I had a zoom visit with my provider that lasted 4 minutes. I was charged the initial diagnosis code for primary care and my insurance was charged over $400. I paid $25 for my copay, and then they added this additional code for that same appointment, where the doctor just continued my medication during our visit and now I pay $50 because my insurance charged me $25 more for the code. My copay means nothing now. Absolutely ABSURD! Providers should be ashamed of themselves. Healthcare is already unaffordable and now providers can charge more for having a relationship with their patient. Would you prefer we go to a different provider each time? Or just not get help for our health conditions in general? I've already contacted my legislators that passed this code to let them know how absolutely insane and ridiculous it is. A 4-minute ZOOM call. Disgusting.

Providers are finally getting paid what they deserve. Keeping up with inflation
