The 3LZ leather upper dash has a peeling issue. I believe it was 2017 that they finally addressed this. I heard this from another RU-vidr and a Vette forum.
Great video man! Looking at getting a Z06 soon and this video was the perfect explanation of the differences in the trim levels. Thanks for uploading this.
Great information. I had a 2008 Z06 The only car I have ever owned I did not become tired of. In my opinion they are the biggest bang for your buck. Almost 60 thought I was getting to old but I have to get another one.
I don't think you're ever too old or too young to enjoy a Corvette. These cars are so fun to drive and just fantastic looking. There's nothing better than going for spin in a Corvette on a nice warm summer day.
Great Vlog Justin! Hey, just a little side note. The microfiber and carbon fiber steering wheel was first introduced on the 2018 Carbon 65s! The ZR1 has the same exact interior as US lol!! General Lee Out!
Awesome and Exceptional video, breaking down all the trim options. I've been looking into getting a z06 and so this was helpful. 5:00 As far as the advance theft system I remember reading somewhere it detects unauthorized movement such as vertical movement like the car being lifted or moved.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I've been looking at C7 Z06's for sale on Ebay and Corvette forum and can't find any that have those seats. Seems like a rare option.
Thanks so much! for all the info, it help me to understand more of those three trim package, I am not into luxary package kind of guy, I just love the IMSA corvette racing heritage, I might even strip down the whole interior, and putting the roll bar and bare aluminum racing seat with pading and four point seat belt and mod the outside when I have more budget to play with. Thanks so much for your detail video!
Wow..fantastic..is there a better looking car out there?...my favourite colour..red with black accents looks superb. The only thing i'd have is a red interior. My reason is that the top of the dash and doors are black which looks great..but, the bottom part of dash n doors are red. The seats are red and i know some people would think thats too much, i'd get the red and black leather seats which i think look amazing. It will be very sad to see the front engine Corvette go..if indeed they do away with it altogether i'd live GM to produce both front and mud engine cars, i don"t mean just until they faze the C7 out.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Hey thanks for the reply..i'm using my mobile so sorry for any spelling mistakes..big fingers..haa! You have a totally awesome car..my favourite, we here in England don't see many vettes..infact i've only ever seen 3 C7's. Yes i love the pony car shape and the Stingray to me is the pinnacle of that design so it would be sad to see it go. Having said that i'm full of excitement regarding the mid engine C8. I'd like to see something nearer the look of the C8R we've seen on youtube, but i'm sure GM will bring together a fantastic car. Anyway keep enjoying your Stingray you lucky person..haa. regards from England.
At a minimum, have to get the 2LZ. Every time I price it out the way I want, I'm over 60k. When I get tired of my Mustang I will look for a preowned one.
I recently retired from the military and haven't splurged on a gift for myself. I own a 2002 WS6 with 69K miles in mint condition and a few suspension upgrades. I've been strongly considering giving her up and using her as a trade-in for a C7 Z06; my ultimate dream car. Any recommendations?
The Z07 package was the only one that came with the carbon ceramics unless you purchase the car after 2017 and then it was an option to add on without the Z07.
Funny thing is I still think the sound system sucks but I don't care because I don't really listen to music when I drive anyway. I just listen to the Corsa. 😉
The exhaust is the ultimate sound system for sure. I don't have any issues with my sound system though I think it's one of the better sounding stock systems I've heard.
Justin, as to the seat option, doesn't the factory describe it as being "heated/ventilated" seats? If so, that begs the questions whether or not they are air conditioned and if they are, why isn't the option referred to "heated/cooled" seats. I've heard a number of owners say they don't feel any cooling in their seats, but do feel some "ventilation." I also wonder if you have the heat on in the car, can you separately "ventilate" the seats. Simply put, to me heating and cooling are separate functions as is "ventilation" that simply re-circulates air.
Thanks Justin. Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm going to "beat" anyway, lol, I still have to wonder why they are not described as "heated & cooled" seats. Lastly, I guess you can run the seats in cool mode simultaneously while running heat in the cabin?
shame ON GM 4 NOT MAKKEN MOST OF THIS STANDARD ON A ZO6!!I HAVE A 1LZ...NO HEATED SEATS...NO HEATED OUTSIDE MIRRORS!!HELL MY 2011 F150 HAS HEATED MIRRORS!!LOL
HorsePower Obsessed Thank you sir. Your car is really nice. I’m looking to obtain one but it’s so hard to find the right one. They came in many different trims.
They definitely have a lot of options and oddly enough that's exactly why I created this channel! I wanted to help people figure it all out without having to go through the massive amounts of research I did!
hey HPO do you have napa or Mulan leather? the reason I am asking so I can order that console with the z06 logo on it. I really cant tell from the build sheet, unless I am not looking at it correct...You answered myh question on the leather after I looked at the video more, I do have competition seats and they could be Napa.
I'm reading that the competition seats are nappa leather no matter what trim you get. With that said the GT seats are always Mulan leather regardless of what trim you get as well. this is just the seat though the rest of the car dashboard and door panels will be Mulan leather unless you get the 3lt/3lz/3zr.
