This is the video I have been waiting for! I am 50 and have been trying to decide which machine to buy. I ride exclusively in Central WV, and you guys have finally helped me make up my mind. I’ve been a Kawasaki owner since 2004, when I bought the 700 Prairie. Now I’ve added a 2011 Brute to the pack. I’ve always liked the build quality of Kawasaki and this video helped remind me of why I go green. Great job! I have subscribed and look forward to watching more of your adventures.
Living here in Utah I own an Arctic cat 2016 wildcat X But I see a few of those KRX's on the rocky mountain trails here and they never have any complaints only first few to come out with a bearing but Kawasaki updated my friends machines even giving out a loaner when machine was serviced there service is above and beyond. I'm slowly convincing myself to upgrade my machine thank you for the in-depth reviews and opinions. I am 51 and can appreciate a smoother/softer ride lol!!!! My Arctic Cat is doing great it has 3,190 miles and still strong.Thank you guys ,again.
SUBSCRIBED!!! Thanks for the video from us KRX owners who have not yet made it to these maintenance intervals just yet. You showed us what to expect when the time comes... Long live the KRX, We Love Our 21 and wouldn't want another rig that's out there right now. Kawasaki knocked it out of the park on this machine and they stand by them for 3 years really says a lot in itself! GREAT video guys, keep em coming!
I attempted to cross a swollen river and got high-centered in pea gravel and had about 26" of water flowing through/past my KRX. It was enough to swamp my belt plus I gained about 30 lbs of pea gravel on top of the skid plate. Got winched out by a friend. The belt slipped like crazy until I pulled the plug and it took several minutes to drain the water out of it. Once I got home, I pulled the cover and the whole clutch system was covered in dust (1200 miles on the machine, btw). I sprayed it down with Simple Green and then hosed it off real good. Then did it again. Then left the cover off for a couple of hours to dry. Has been fine ever since. Oh, also took two days to get all the pea gravel out of it. Had to drop the rear factory plastic under-coverings (I wouldn't call them skid plates) as well as some of the metal "compartments" under the seats. Finally got it all out.
A arm bushings will start squeaking like crazy. I replaced mine with aftermarket already. Also add grease zerks. The springs and ride hight will start to severely sag out. The factory springs are junk. One of the best videos I’ve seen yet on the KRX guys. Great job. Don’t brag it up too much yet you only have 250 miles on it. Lol.
We appreciate the feedback. When did you buy yours and how many miles on it. Curious because I know they had dealt with those issues on the models built in 2020. Thanks again.
Hey guys, I live over in alpena mi and just bought a krx. So far I love it. Did make a grinding noise when coming to a stop once but hasn’t done it again.
Great overview video. I recently pre-ordered this exact 2021 model & can't wait to get it. This video really gave a lot of insight into everything I didn't already know.
Hey Guys, I’m glad I found your channel!! Thank you so much for going over your side x side with us. I’ve been looking at new rides, an this was so helpful.
That was an excellent video! I ride in the Arizona desert and some of the washboard trails are a nightmare. Your comments regarding how the KRX handles washboard trails has confirmed for me that this the machine that I am going to purchase.
Thanks for very informative video. Just a new trail edition and just breaking in motor and belt. Love the way it rides. Im coming off a 2021 T2 but needed a better ride as we go to Hatfields often.
XX is prewired with 4 switched connections and 4 that come on with the key all wired to sae connectors, plus the have wiring for a dual usb plut in the glovebox
Hello fellas, I'm on the verge of getting my first SXS, I've been debating about the KRX or the Arctic cat Wildcat XX, this was a great video and definitely helped me inch closer to my decision! I subbed, Thank You!
Seriously searching a new sxs the 2021 trail edition I believe is going to be what I purchase. Hope the suspension is what you and others say I can’t take the beating like I use to either 😂 and think top speed on a krx is well over 60mph can’t imagine ever going faster than that on the trails in Ohio or West Virginia where I ride. Thanks for the video very informative and it’s great to see what’s inside before buying something.
My KRX just got pulled out of the crate and is getting all my goodies installed. I Should have it by next Friday and first trip off to Moab to break it in.
WD40 is almost pure fish oil, when it drys it doesn't leave any residue. Some of the oldtimers here in a small commercial fishing community used to rub it into their hands for arthritis lol
Oh... I had to remove and grease all of my bushings because they were creaking like crazy. Once greased, they've been fine (I did it before the river crossing and they're still fine).
What's frustrating about the choppy trail conditions is, the state is still making people buy new tags during this pandemic but they're not taking that money and grooming the orv trails right now. I've been up to Baldwin, Atlanta, and the Denton Creek route and they all three were just littered with chop. They need to get them trails groomed right.
I personally removed my rear scrapers, if rocks get trapped in that small space the rear wheels will be gouged and left in undesirable condition. Full Access UTV makes affordable kits that completely strengthen and reinforce key points of the frame. Highly recommend their stuff.
Sounds great, u sold me with it. You'll probably have to get it tuned for that exhaust. I ordered the trinity and im going to send my ecu to v force john and have him tune it
I’d suggest adding a skid plate under transmission, mine hit a rock and bent factory skid plate and cracked the transmission case just cheap insurance.
This thing looks primed for a V4 engine. That would be awesome, but the UTV makers stick with the 1 liter sizes. BTW, x3s are so loud and the belt engagement in high is very jerky. I'd imagine the KRX centrifugal clutch would significantly help that. In low x3s are super smooth though rock crawling.
Your under the hood is excellent. Keep it up. We are X3 owner but got the wife a 2021 kRX. Ride is the differences. Great dual team. Wear a helmet.Pacific Islander Beer co
I love the Video great job keep it up... you should do on the Alternator I’m trying to replace it but no one has anything online about I guess the krx is to new
I love my KXR Trail Edition. My RZR buddies can pull away on the street. But the trail is another level!! Mine putts up rocky hills when they have to hammer. Loads on the trailer with no ramps way easier. For the cost it’s a way better product. They spent comparable money at the dealership then had to add a lot in wheels tires and suspension. I’m riding stock.
Nice vids you guys have. Came back for a second watch to see how to get at the spark plugs, 10 months later. Now what’s up with a supercharger I heard y’all saying?
Do you have anything for the new 2024 Kawasaki TERYX KRX4 1000 SE eS. I am looking to install a particle separator. Also got anything more detailed about your recommendation for using WD 40. Thanks for such a great video. I subbed for sure!
I like the idea of spraying the wd-40 on the underneath where all do you spray the wd40 and I think you said everything except brakes Obviously. So just want to know what all I can spray thanks Mike
The knuckle issue is due to the way the steering stop is stepped on the A arm. Kawasaki did fix that for 2021. If you get a 2020 it’s an easy fix. There are several videos on it. Email me Ryan@M3offroad.com if you have any issues
Just from a quick flash, does it have a visco lock diff in the front? There are no goodies in that department? Any chance you would do a VS drive down identical terrain back to back and swap out between KRX and X3 with lots of feedback after each challenge?
@@M3OffRoad How is that dude? Their channel has not had any content since very early this year, had a teaser for their glamis trip then nothing... You guys ever have ambitions of going out to those popular areas like Glamis and Moab out here on the Best Coast?
What do you really think about the KRX power? I get its got great suspension and beefy. I own two teryx on an 09 an one a 17. I was going to wait till a year or so for more power. My 09 teryx makes over 100 as its got a 1020 BBK. Im between a talon R and a KRX. Ive been kawi since 80s. What do you like most about the KRX.
First thanks for watching. I would have to say that the plush ride and smooth clutch engagement is better than anything I've rode in and I've rode in and driven all of them. The power is perfect for the trails. We have 220 hp X3 s and I love driving the Krx just as much or more. Hope I answered your questions you cant go wrong also we are working with a couple companies on tunes for hp so stay tu ed it has potential for a lot more!!!!
I’m telling ya if they release a 4 seater I’m all in. 68” is illegal on a lot it trails where I live in Minnesota but I’ll chance it just because of the build quality
I got my new 2020 KRX mid July and love it. I'm curious about the WD40 thing, are you saying you pretty much treat the whole buggy with it, plastics and all? I finally cleaned my up REALLY good and misted just about the whole thing with WD40 staying away from graphic stickers and brake components of course. I also wiped down any excess from the plastic body parts.
We really only spray the wheel wells and pretty much anything not in the cab. We tend to not spray the body plastics. We will have a video on that soon. Thanks for watching!
Hey guys, I’m really contemplating getting a KRX. What’s your thoughts on the power and power delivery on it? Right now I have a 2019 Wolverine X2 which is a great machine but really lacks HP and a comfy ride. My biggest attraction to the KRX is all the praise it gets for a plush ride but I’d like to be able to get the ass end around and climb steep hills w/o worrying about running out of power.
We was trail riding this past weekend . Went through a mudhole and our 2021 krx1000 fell off deep hole. My husband wasn't able to save it . We landed on driver's side. We know it has water in oil. My husband said he going to change oil and filter like three times. We washed the air filter. He going to get started over the weekend. The question i have is what else's do we do?
Pull the spark plugs and make sure there is no water in the cylinders. If they are dry you should be ok. If they have water in them you will need to get it out. Hopefully not too much crud went in.
really like the videos i bought a green 2021 my wife bought a 2021 polaris xp4 .i think she wishes she waited for a krx 4 . how do i get the mx3 decals thank u
I have a 2020 krx love it but have big problem with clutch weights.First set have put 6 months after I bought it put new set in from Ryco with springs and I never got 3 months and they were shot plus the clutch is shot ??? 1200 bucks for clutch and 500 for weights is a lot on a fairly new machine . Kawasaki won't help at all told them there forcing me to look elsewhere they don't care . Still love it but dam the Law. Is a Cow
Can am always break down. If one machine lasts a couple years ten others have serious issue. Once one of those ten finally aren't breaking every day the original is totally shot. Junk! I miss when arctic cat was the best. Now yamaha rules dam near completely followed by kawa
You didn't do any maintenance. Wait until you have to go deeper into the motor. Like a simple top end rebuild. What a shit show that is. These things are designed as dumb as you could imagine. Stating from experience.
