@SteveO "I don't like touching the microfibre towels" (paraphrasing here). That made me laugh - you weirdo! I *HATE* touching microfibre towels too! I thought it was just me being weird. What's even worse is dropping microfibre on woodchips. A lot of gardens here use it for mulch. Microfibre clings onto every little piece like it's life depended on it!
Steveothewindowcleaner, how do you washand dry your towels? I've been throwing them all in the washer on hot with detergent and drying on high heat. Should I go gentler on them? Wash micro fiber separately? Thank you again for product info!
Tejbir Singh I wash all my towels together and sleeves. We wash them with arm & hammer detergent original (makes them smell good). Tap cold water, not hot, hot water and high heat can damage microfiber towels and sleeves. I never put my sleeves in the dryer, just air dry
Started using a bath towel instead of a big drop cloth after watching you....much cheaper and easier to deal with...I got to try the "dry me a river" towel...sounds awesome. On a different note, you talked before about how you went back to brass channels. I used stainless steel for years then went to the super channel which works well but I hate having to detail. Thinking about switching to brass but wondering if you would care to do a detailed video about brass channels? I'm just not sure if I should pull the trigger on buying all new channels to switch over since I use about every size up to 18...that could be pricey if it's a flop...lol Also I see that pulex is cheaper than ettore, do you have both to compare? Which do you like better?
Legacy Window Cleaning ettore brass and pulex Alumax are my most favorite channels, the brass is only a tad heavier then stainless steel, you won’t notice a huge difference. These two channels leave me hardly any detailing
i cant stand the microfiber on my hands the blue regular rags leave water behind im going to try the dry me a river still i have problems when detailing the midle of the pane with regular blue towels why is that sometimes leaves this marks like tiny scratches or a glare idk what im doimg wrong
when i detailed cars i used microfibers for the inside of the vehicle. the outside was just a squeegee and a shammy. which a dude i work with uses to detail windows.. but i dont see how it could work out all day. cuz you would need to rinse it too often. imo.
Steve0 Chuck all those cloths away. Buy a dozen Unger microfibre cloths. The blue ones. Best cloths in the world. I use them for downstairs leaded windows & for my granite island & jobs at home. There is NO better streak free cloth.
I always hear. “I’ll put the links in the description” but all your links are to products and packages. Not one of them has the specific towels that you refer in your videos.. love ur videos but, it’s frustrating.
It’s not like that my man. Love ur videos.. all of my stuff has been bought directly from the knowledge you give. I keep searching on WCR and I know those exact ones are not on there. So I went to rag lady and same. I just don’t want to order the wrong crap and be all pissed on my next job. Just finished 21 hours of window cleaning last night, my thin surgical towels piss me off more than anything as far a detailing goes. I just want something that doesn’t leave streaks. The silver fish scale ones seem to leave behind little tiny silver pieces that you can’t see till the sun goes down. I’m just tired of going back and detailing. Can u pease post a link to the blue highly absorbent cry me a river towels? If contractually u can’t lmk and I’ll figure out a way to message u directly. Thank you again for all your videos…. Dang it.. I found them.. FML 🤦
