The reason they made the Bumblebee movie a reboot is because The Last Knight bombed at the Box Office.

Man I really miss the bay verse good memories and good moments even tho some of the movies were bad it was still part of our childhood and the scenes really make sense too bad it’s not connected anymore

Plus, in Bayverse timeline, Bee was on earth since WW2 and was fighting alongside Hot rod but for the Bumblebee movie timeline, You can see bee arrived to earth at the year 1983 if im correct but in the bayformers time line , bumblebee was there since world war 2 which yea this could relate the bumblebee movie to the bayverse but this just maybe a coincidence and it was really meant to be a reboot and not a prequel of the bumblebee movie before the bayverse timeline happend! I don’t believe Bumble Bee and ROTB are connected to the Bayverse films unless the robots hit puberty big time from the 1990s into 2007 also Optimus Prime had already come to earth in ROTB and he didn’t go to earth until Bumble told the autobots where the all spark is. Bumble Bee in the Bayverse was sent by Optimus Prime to see if the glasses were on earth. So that is why this is a completely different universe

What if, Bumblebee movie, is a starting point for both timeline. So, there's two timeline, Bayverse timeline, and Rebooted timeline. Bayverse timeline: At the end of BB movie, some Autobots landed on earth for a pit stop (That's what Mirage say in ROTB), and successfully coming back to Cybertron to continue the war. But, Bumblebee didn't come with them. He choose to stay at Earth, that's why Ratchet doesn't able to fix his voice completely. Rebooted timeline: Well, I don't have much to talk. Because, if you watch Rise of The Beasts, that's what I'm gonna talk about. Either way, I will tell in short. So, some Autobots came to earth, but didn't able to return to Cybertron, and stuck in Earth for 7 years, and the rest are told in ROTB

Good movie idea to continue with the rotb timeline. Transformers, Beacon of extinction. So the opening of the movie will take place just months after the events of bumblebee Where it will explain of why decepticons were missing in the events of rotb. They actually got the signal from dropkick and shatter in the bumblebee movie, maybe a little bit. And it's all thanks to Shockwave. He used his technology to pick up a little signal from earth, so they know where the autobots are. So they went to earth, but instead of attacking, they established a plan to create a beacon with the power of the allspark to corrupt autobots in their way, turning them to decepticons. So they started crafting the beacon till 1995, (a year after rotb) they launched the plan and started placing the beacons, where the beacons would start corrupting random autobots, turning them to decepticons. And then the decepticons attacked the autobots. Optimus prime order the others to run away and establish a base while optimus prime try to stop them. Fast forward to 2002. Almost half of the autobots were wiped out. And prime was hiding in a junkyard. Till he got a call from ratchet, he was told that their newly build base was under attack by the decepticons again. Optimus prime was shocked to hear the news, immediately rushed to the new base, where ratchet gave the coordinates. When arrived optimus attacks the decepticon revealing a cool battle scene. He managed to save all the other autobots. But he was too late to save the others, Wheeljack, Bumblebee and stratosphere were corrupted, giving new designs and names such as Hornet (bumblebee), Riotfall (Wheeljack) and Dynamic (Stratosphere). Now only prime, mirage and arcee is left and they gotta save their kind from extinction. Later on they would meet other autobots that were not affected by the beacon like hound and later we would see drift as he quits from becoming a decepticon. And in the final battle, megatron and optimus prime come face to face while megatron is also assisted with bumblebee. Meanwhile, the other autobots are also battling the decepticons and trying to hold them for long enough while optimus, bee and megatron is fighting. And this battle is ended with optimus making bee wake up from his decepticon form. Optimus prime got knocked down, he stand back up again to fight megatron while bumblebee starts rushing to the beacon to destroy it, however he was stopped by shockwave and soundwave, and bee needs to fight them in order to get to the beacon. And then we can get a cool scene where it transitions to optimus prime vs megatron and the autobots vs the decepticons and back again until bumblebee finally stuns shockwave and soundwave, quickly he rushed to the beacon and destroys it. And runs to optimus prime and helped optimus prime deal with megatron. And after a few punches, slices and blasts megatron was finished. And not just megatron was finished, the decepticons too. And then they all grouped up, while prime holds megatrons head and made a speech where a reference to the transformers the movie 1986 where they all group up and says till are one. And the end.

Transformers movies were just a box-office success but critics and neutral audience (except transformers fans) didn't liked the movie that much. Not Proper character development, improper execution of the story, showing the same things are some of the reason why transformers are worst rated by critics. And main reason the series was rebooted, was box-office failure of TF-5 which was 600M$ which was comparatively low compared to previous movie which almost crossed 1 billion. Also Michael bay was bored of the series, he was going to leave after TF-3 but paramount somehow convinced him to create another 2 movies and it failed.

About "S.H.I.E.L.D" knew a lot of in government, but Sector 7 was very secret organisaton, and how i remember only president of USA knew about it, and actually Sector 7 disbanded after 1st part. So, how Bumble Bee was able say that his name is Bumble Bee if they never met in the firs place? So, how was Optimus knew that B-127 was already Bumble Bee?
