Detect-Ed Carbon fibre shaft & Arm cuff for Minelab Equinox Metal Detectors - Fitment Guide
After ordering my new Detect-Ed RED BELLY carbon shaft, metal arm cuff and coil savers. I demonstrate how to install and fit the replacement Detect-Ed Carbon Fiber Shaft and Detect-Ed Aluminium Arm Cuff to my Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector.

ABOUT DETECT-ED CARBON FIBER SHAFTS FOR MINELAB EQUINOX METAL DETECTORS
The Detect-Ed replacement carbon fibre upper and lower shaft set is much lighter than the original shaft.
Being 100% carbon fibre, the shaft is much stronger. It also eliminates the slight wobble experienced when using a large 15 inch coil. It collapses approximately 6cm shorter than the original, making it better suited for transportation and easy storage.
The Detect-ed carbon fibre upper and lower shaft set for the Minelab Equinox 600 & 800 is a far superior upgrade to the standard shaft and has more flexible adjustment, over the ball bearing and fixed hole style adjustment.
The after-market carbon fibre shaft by Detect-Ed can be safely used in seawater and features a drainage hole from where water and sand can escape.
The custom coil savers are meant to reduce wear on the coil-lugs, which are a known weak point to the Equinox coils and they are liable to snap. I found the coil savers a bit pointless and a perfect fit was achieved with the standard coil spacers.

ABOUT DETECT-ED EQUINOX ALLOY ARM CUFF
The metal detector cuff upgrade is more ergonomic and comfortable as it hugs the arm rather than the sloppier fit of the original cuff, that breaks so easily. You are not limited to the default positions of the original cuff as the Detect-ed replacement cuff clamps onto the round shaft at any position you choose.
The arm-strap entry points are lower than on the original cuffs resulting in your arm being snuggly strapped down into the cuff for a snug fit, rather than bouncing off the walls of the cuff.
Maximum Forearm Size: Fits a forearm with a maximum diameter of 355mm.
The Detect-Ed Alloy Arm Cuff upgrade is easy to fit and comes supplied with all the bits to make for an easy installation.
The Detected-Ed Alloy Arm Cuff is compatible with any metal detector with a round shaft measuring 22mm in diameter.
