We started out as Benjamin, aged 11 and Edward, aged 5, with help from Rich (our Dad) and our first videos were about
- things we like - products we buy - places we go...
... but mainly FORTNITE, FORTNITE, FORTNITE!!!
we then started live streams of our favourite games on Nintendo Switch, XBOX ONE and now PC, which include:
MORE FORTNITE Minecraft Splatoon 2
But slowly slowly interested went on to other things and Dad has started highjacking the channel.
Starting with DJI drone, tech and purchase reviews, slowly the hobbies of restoring his Suzuki RG500, metal detecting and mudlarking became mainstream.
@ThomasDoubting5 Cheeky bugger lol, I had a black water cooled (rz350) with a nervous front end, and a white red water cooled (great bike, loved it) full fairing (rz350 fn)., but the RG was next level power/weight ratio and fun factor..
@JohnSmith-sj2dk always dreamed of the fn version. I had the bikini faired 350ypvs, but back then, one with a full fairing was, in my mind, a proper race bike. Cracking bikes, but as you say the RG has that next level of 'oomph'. A standard RG is quite tame. This one at 110bhp is just right for power to fun ratio. ❤ thanks for watching. Hope it took you back, to great memories 👍
Yep, we were privileged to see those 3 race bikes started. Loved it. Proper, little event. I see there's another just up the road this weekend. National Motor Museum, Beaulieu
Thanks so much. So pleased to hear that you enjoyed watching. The ride there and back wasn't the best this year. A bit damp in places going down and some awful traffic coming back, but what a fantastic event. It made for a brilliant day.
First must give a big thank you for bringing us with you to the event,, amazing job,, especially the bikes with the outboard motors ,GP ,seen them in classic Racer magazine,,but to hear brings it to life,,☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland 👍
Thanks so much for watching. So pleased that you enjoyed the epic bikes. Such an unexpected, privilege to hear these start up. To hear and even chat to Sammy was the cherry on the top. Belfast boy is a true legend ❤️ 😊
So pleased to hear that you enjoyed the video. It was a great ride. All being well, we're off to Sammymiller.co.uk 2 stroke day tomorrow. Should be another awesome ride. Over 200 miles 😮 I'll post the new video when ready, but to give you an idea, I'll find last year's. Went on my own last year but this year, there should be a few of us 👍
why is all that in the field ? what was there before a market place ? Im from USA so a much newer country we can find civil war relics or old farm parts maybe an arrowhead from the American Indians not with metal detector OfCourse ... Strange to see you found so many coins in a field...A .Good way for me to find arrow heads is to wait for farmers to plow the field then wait for it to rain and then go look for arrow heads from Indians
Hi. It is truly amazing and bewildering just how much has been dropped. The odd field may not turn up much, but amazingly in most cases, I found any and every field will deliver some coins. I believe it is purely down to the 1000s of years that we've been occupying this land. Recently I have been detecting land near a very old Manor house. I found a gold Edward III quarter Noble coin (circa 1330-1376). Amazing! A few fields along, we found over 100 coins, mainly from the turn of the 19th century, but a few older. So to directly, answer your question, I don't think a market needs to have been held and I think in the case of these fields, it's just the population over the centuries. In the case of the 100 coins, yes maybe an annual event occurred. It is similar here, if you can detect, then get a field ploughed, then it's like a brand new field to detect, you're certain to find more. I always thought of the US and Australia were the places to find the buried "Gold" treasures, but actually the UK is packed with dropped items. You literally find at least one coin on ever outing. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experiences. Happy hunting!!
Maybe check out my Facebook group. Go to photos and you'll see the 100s of coins and other amazing finds, since December 2023. facebook.com/groups/656190973168659/?ref=share
@@RG500_detectorist Thanks for the explanation about how those coins got in that feild ..still seems odd to me but 1000s of years with people walking around with coins it makes sense i guess ...Yes Id say you have the better metal detecting opportunity in Europe than we have in the USA.for sure and I'll check your Facebook ....
What would you say is better, the Minelab Vanquish 340 on sale for £229.00 or the Garrett Ace £250.00? I was going to get the Dr Otek, but after watching this I don't think so. I haven't got loads to spend, so the 1st 2 makes you suggested are out of my budget. I would be grateful for your advice, as it's my first metal detector, many thanks Vivienne
Hi Vivienne. The Minelab Vanquish, I heard, is literally the same technology as the Equinox, but is much simpler to use. Personally, I'd go with that. Maybe join our group on Facebook, South East Detecting. We've got lots of members to ask, who use them.
Absolutely! I played with one of these in the twisties of Gloucestershire. A good friend and excellent rider. I was on my RG, but with everything original, except the engine and pipes. Totally ran circles around it, except for my lack of braking into the corners. With the Brembos now fitted, that would be sorted. I am yet to find a new bike that I would totally bow to, saying "Wow, that is quick". This is on the roads, not a track.
You should have your license permanently revoked shame on you for uploading this example of suicidal stupidity knowing that at least 50 people are going to go out and do the same thing
I remember my old man had a brand new bike every year an go to the TT One year he couldn't afford a brand new bike so he bought a second hand Rg500 gamma, i remember him telling me how his mates on brand new bikes couldnt keep up with him an je kept that RG for the next few years he absolutely adored that bike an me to the smell of two stroke an sound was brilliant i actually cryed when he sold it 😢 one of my all time favorite bike only second to the ducati 888 he bought later ❤❤❤❤❤
I Got the m-t XR from Amazon and I Don all the settings including the Discrimination mode and the all metal mode But it Depends on what setting you have it on . Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I think it needs setting up correctly. As not had too much success to date. Would be great to get to grips with it, so I could use it as a spare.

Glad you're liking it. I have managed some good revs the last couple of weeks. Sound quality is improving, I think. Getting ready for my longest trip to Sammy Miller's 2 stroke day. Over 240 miles 👍 Should be an epic day, end of June. Fingers crossed that we get some Summer that weekend ❤❤
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed the ring-a-tin-tin at 12,000 rpm ❤️ You might enjoy this one .... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EYnDQxQtGYg.htmlsi=OGuKbZecMTbvfS8r
I clipped the microphone onto the number plate light, between the top pipes. Had to turn the audio gain right down, but managed to lose a lot of wind noise. Although ear splitting, it's much more like it. The thing is noisy!!
The breakfast meets at the Ramblers Rest are very popular with all types of bikes and riders, that have a lovely greasy fry up before heading out for the days ride. Very popular with classic British iron as well as classic imports.
Yes, sincere apologies, I was gutted to find after the ride that I'd had a big audio fail. Recovered what I could. There was some great footage, so didn't want to not post anything. I've tested the kit ready for Monday. Hopefully it'll be the best ever. ❤️
Thanks so much for watching. Great to hear that you enjoyed the rise. Hopefully now the westher is improving, I'll be able to show some great footage. This Monday is 1000s of bike going to Margate. See you soon.
I hope so! Margate Meltdown this coming Monday, so hope to meet up with many other 2 strokes for the 140 mile ride to Margate and back. Should be some lovely bikes out and about. I'll make sure I video the highlights.
