The tip I learned from this video is to never leave a spot until you “warsh your crevice.” Gotta flush that dirt out to see what’s hiding in the very bottom!

I love it! If you're feeling teachy I'd love to drive down this summer and spend an afternoon digging! I'm about 5 hours north of you, but I've been watching your channel since I've started a few years ago. I'm on the Smith river and you're only allowed to pan on it, but I've been finding a little more each year :) Going to invest in a detector here in the next month or two, though. You guys do a lot of boulder scrambling. Do you or Jeff have any specific favourite footwear that's especially non-slip? I've been watching you for a long time and wondered if you have ever been run out if the woods by a bigfoot. Just curious.

One thing no one seems to talk about is claims. The yuba rivers from what the diggings shows are completely covered from one end to the other. I’m afraid/ respectful to walk around with a detector. Kind of limits any fun.
