Mystery and new clues to Harry's whereabouts await the duo in Detective Pikachu ~ A Christmas Case ~ ... It's been a few months since Tim and Pikachu solved the case of R but there is still no sign of Harry. As they continue their search into the holiday season, they are sent to investigate something uncanny in an old theater house.
This is a fan animation movie sequel of the Detective Pikachu game by Creatures Inc. and the story is all fan fiction. I highly recommend playing the game or at least checking it out before watching this.

So... for a long time I've been wanting to make a video for Christmas but never had any good idea what to animate for this theme.... and then I saw the Detective Pikachu game.... That's when I got this idea of a Pokemon Detective Christmas movie. I hope this special animation can remind us of the true meaning of Christmas and help us keep the holiday spirit in our hearts every year.

After some two years of work, I present to you a Pokemon Christmas Detective movie - *Detective Pikachu ~A Christmas Case~* It's something for everyone especially Pokefans and detective fans to enjoy during Christmas time, much like a Christmas movie. Not to mention it has a fireside story to add to the winter vibes. If you've played the game you might be able to spot the elements from the game that I based on! ;) Hope ya'll have a very Merry Christmas! Enjoy! :) Ok set aside the yuletide stuff, some honest comments from me: This is not like the usual short animations I make because it's almost an hour long. It is a movie that consists of mostly dialog and I honestly think that this is the longest and probably the most boringest animation I've ever made. So far. Not gonna lie. I hope it is still able to entertain despite that. Other than that, production was a good long grueling 2-year run. Luckily the end product still looked okay although I had to cut a lot of corners.

This just randomly popped onto my feed having never heard of you, so I came in with no expectations, just a desire for more Detective Pikachu. And this delivered far more than it ever needed to! Every aspect about this was incredible, the voices were great, the animation was solid, the sound effects and music timing were just about perfect! If this were in the same 3D style as the game, I could see this entire video being a holiday dlc as is! Super excited to check out more from the channel after seeing this masterpiece!

To me, this is a canon continuation of Detective Pikachu. The writing, story, and new characters feel so much like the original games style and what they would do. Congrats on such an amazing video. And I hope This series does actually get a sequel to it's first game.

I don't mind that this is a fanmade animation piece but HOLY ARCEUS this was just too awesome! I could definitely see this as either a DLC for the games or as part of their future sequel game. This story was amazing, the voice acting was spectacular, the animation was GORGEOUS and complimented the games very well and still gave an ending that begs to ask for more. In short in case it wasn't obvious....................I LOVED THIS!!! I'm hoping that more projects like this comes out soon and maybe someday the games could produce an animated series or perhaps you and your talented crew can adapt the game into an animated series based off the games. :D

This was epically better than the live action movie. Love the story, mystery, and above all the Sounds for Vanillite, Smeargle, Chinchou, and Blissy. They were all so cute. When I heard the Vanillite talking, I couldn't help smiling all the way through their scene. Loved them so much. So adorable.

Hello! Tenth time watching this. Lol. Did anyone else notice the parallels of how the antagonist was stopped and how the Tale of the Rhyme Ghost was stopped? It was even foreshadowed with the story at the beginning of the case. In the illustrations, the wanderer had a Ninetails too. And in this case, Lance and his Froslass could be considered the Rhyme Ghost. Just goes to show how much love and care was put into this animation. ❤❤❤

Nintendo doesn't own Pokemon as a whole, they just handle production and distribution. Nintendo is only one of the founders of The Pokémon Company, the franchise's true owner. The other founders are Game Freak, the developers, and Creatures, the company that handles the trading cards.

Oh my god, this animation is what I really crave for after watching a complete playthrough of Detective Pikachu game first came out, a charm that the movie can't really replicate! Tim's game version's looks and calm attitude, that smooth yet stiff Pikachu's look and the actual investigation are the things I missed so dearly. I can't fully describe excitement and amazement when watching this video, but the planning, colour lighting and perspective work are excellent! There are some very neat throwbacks from the original game, like TIm saving Rick, or Pikachu sneezing, and some other parts one will recognise when one had seen the game before. The confrontation and the climax part with the action scenes had me right at the end of my seat! Also it is very brilliant that you included a main series's held item for the story too! The audio might need some minor adjustment as there are some parts where the music can be kinda too loud or sharp, but other than that, a great job on this! This honestly feels like a real case from the game. I am so glad more people know more about Detective Pikachu game, and I wish for the Switch version of the game (or sequel) will come out soon!

I love this so much! It’s like playing a special episode of the Detective Pikachu game! Despite how some people feel, I loved playing that game. It’s so awesome to see stories in the Pokémon world that include those who work and have more normal jobs, and then including Pokémon in their lives. I loved how the names of characters and their position/personality were displayed like the game as well! ❤️❤️❤️

Since "Detective Pikachu Returns" took place two years after the events of "Detective Pikachu", and the events of "A Christmas Case" took place a few months after "Detective Pikachu", I might consider this to fit in the storyline.

Even though there's now a sequel game out there and it reveals quite a lot, coming back to this video is really a treat. It really feels like a part of the Detective Pikachu saga. If they wanted to do an anime series on it, I'd be totally into it. The one that may be contradictory as the second game is the post-credit shot of the gift with Harry's initials on it, but you could easily say that Mewtwo sent the present and just made it look like Harry sent it.

I was very sad when they decided to never put Smeargle in Sw/Sh. It was very nice to see them animated, and given a pretty substantial part to boot. This was quite the christmas spectacle and thank you for giving my favorite pokemon some attention.

Woah, this is amazing! This was so well written that even looks like something that could be one of the chapters of the game! I admit I was surprised when I saw a Detective Pikachu fanmade movie based in the game popping up in my youtube recomendations, but after watching, it was really worth it! I hope they reveal the sequel of the game soon, I really loved the 3ds game.

This was AMAZING!!!! I loved every second of it! I hadn't realized how much I miss hearing Detective Pikachu's iconic, "Bolt of Brilliance!" line until now, and the story was incredible! This may be just a fan fiction in animated form, but it feels like something that could actually happen in the canon storyline of Detective Pikachu! an animation like this really makes me wish we had more detective pikachu content like this. It'd honestly make for a great animated series, and the quality of this is pretty much on par with the show and the game. though one thing that I should mention is a lil plot hole in the mystery. Because the Theater froze, everyone assumed that the culprit had to be an ice type pokemon as well -which is true- But it's not just ice types who're able to use ice moves: water type pokemon and even some dragon types pretty commonly use ice type moves, and even in the Anime Darkrai's been shown using ice beam (which while cool doesn't make a lotta sense in retroscect, it's good for coverage but it's not like it helps defend against the types of pokemon who can defeat dark types, ok getting off topic). That knowledge does kinda weaken the evidence that it could be specifically an ice type. But overall the reveal does make sense nonetheless and does fit but overall the pokemon choices in this are phenomenal, and I love the climax. Feels like things like that were needed more in the original game. Great work though for sure. Really loved this

I’ve seen hundreds of beautiful and amazing passion projects from all over but none of them come close to just the amount of dedication put into this along with time, patiences and effort. Finally got around to watching this. Fantastic work! I loved seeing a Ninetales save the day. Never mess with an Alolan Ninetales and her theatre! If I were to make a small criticism, I'm a bit disappointed that the Delphox never made any sounds. Much like Ninetales, Delphox is one of my favorite Pokémon so hearing their voice would have been cute.

I am speechless. Like, wow. The story had such an amazing twist as well. I wish Pokemon can do things like this with their spinoff games because I would love to see more of this. I know it was just a fanmade project, but legit man, this is amazing! I hope you had a Happy Holidays/ Merry Christmas/ New Year and thank you for your amazing movie!

With Detective Pikachu Returns out and since it starts with a time jump. I see this as a case done during Christmas after the ending of Detective Pikachu and before the opening of Detective Pikachu Returns.
