@iscrapapp hi Tom! I’m wondering about those fan motors you see in microwaves and some ovens that have a wire spool like an inch away from the rotor, if I remove that spool of copper can the rest of it still go into the motor pile? Or does it then become shred? My yard dosnt do “light iron” because they are partnerd with a steel mill anything that isn’t melting steel they call “white goods” and frankly dosnt pay enough to make it worth the time. Thanks in advance!
Great question, It will likely go into the shred pile as you've taken the most valuable metal out of the motor already. Yards typically want to see the motor complete. Sucks to hear about your yard though
@@iScrapApp great point, and probably a good feature for a cieling fan because it makes it lighter. Those awful low end garbage disposers that Americans commonly buy also have aluminum windings. Awful because they rust out in just a couple of years.
