This video is intended for students in the common core of Geology, or any other interested public (high school students for example). It presents in a very simple way samples of sedimentary rocks belonging to terrigenous detrital rocks (also called silico-clastic rocks), and provides the essential information which makes it possible to identify them.
This video was put online as part of the Sedimentary Rock Petrology Practical Work for the 2nd year of the STU License at the University of Guelma in Algeria (Teacher: Ms. Ruault-Djerrab).
Video highlights:
- 1:03: Rudites (coarse-grained rocks)
- 5:58: Arenites (medium-grained rocks)
- 11:04: Lutites or Pelites (fine-grained rocks)
