That hug in the end is the thing I had been waiting for ever since Hank and Connor started getting close to each other. And that being the ending shot made the whole arc worthwhile. Connor is my absolute favorite amongst the three main characters, only because we got to see him grow so well. Of course, it depends completely on how the player takes things forward but I loved Connor's arc of becoming a deviant the most. We got to see the changes taking place subtly in the beginning and then growing with each passing situation. Hank played such a big part in this and I simply loved the relationship between those two. Hank, someone who wished to blame androids for his loss, came to care for one himself and an android who was built to be a force against the deviants, became one himself partly because of Hank. When Hank said "Everytime you died, I got reminded of Cole", I lost it completely. Their whole build up was absolutely worth it. One could see the change of heart Hank starts to have for Connor and vice versa. I saw that Hank and Connor is a popular OTP but to me, this relationship started off as that of partners, then friends, ultimately turning into a father-son relationship. I absolutely loved how they showed Connor returning to Hank at the end of it all. It says a lot about their relationship. Connor in this ending is what one can call 'being free'. He is a man with a conscience and free will and he 'chose' to come back to the man who had his back through everything and who cared about whether he lived or died, even back when Connor couldn't realize the gravity of those two words. That hug was a beautiful wrap up to everything those two have been through together. I absolutely loved how Connor smiled so genuinely and how Hank pulled Connor towards himself to hug him. I know this is a long comment but I really needed to vent about why I loved Connor and his arc the most. It felt like I grew as the character grew and it was so satisfying to see him become what he did at the end of it all.

If you notice, you can tell who's really Connor because of their movement. The real Connor acted more human and looked worried with emotion while the other was just confident and bold, not scared that his partner would accidentally shoot him, looking robotic with no emotion. The difference between Connor and not Connor is so clear now that I've rewatched it a billion times. Not Connor was always forceful in his replies saying things only to further his purpose whereas true Connor considered possible solutions for Hank, not going by mere programming, but going by his problem solving skills; he goes by what he's learnt and from what he knows about humans and what will convince Hank that he's the real one. It also shows how much Connor has changed since the beginning where his voice was platonic and always just saying what his program says. Real Connor was thinking. You could see it in his expression. That moment when he said his memories were uploaded were a giveaway not because of the words, but how they were said. The twitch in his brow and the pull to his lip- expressions only living creatures can do so intimately. But at the same time, Connor was calm- he believed in his friend and he communicated, not just spoke. At the end, we see Connor's emotion. He sympathised with Hank and reached out to him with words directly from the bottom of his heart, being considerate and putting aside his goal of having to survive to phrase his answer with the new goal of consoling Hank. The scene was wonderfully executed, albeit a tad cliched but was a brilliant way to show us the real difference between a deviant and a machine- the real difference between pretending and actually living.

I'm laughing my ass off at the end just hearing the people cheer but thier just standing, not clapping not jumping, just yelling yeah XD
