You can tell who the real Connor is because of the tone and inflection that he uses. The imposter sounds a lot more machine-like, quick and straight to the point. Also, the first time I realized when Connor was becoming devient was when he chooses to not shoot Chloe. He says to Hank "I just looked into that girl's eyes and couldn't. Up until then, Connor only referred to other androids as "it".
A problem I have with all sorts of fiction where a bad character is supposed to be "emotionless". They are never emotionless, they always take some kind of pleasure in being evil. If the other Connor has the ability to feel anger then he is also a deviant, maybe that was intended? Androids are supposed to be indifferent. Reminds me of that film equilbirum with christian bale, the bad guy goes on a passionate hate filled rant about how the main character is feeling emotions when he shouldn't be.
Good point, but just because they don’t have emotions as such, that doesn’t mean they can’t display them. That’s what makes Connor such a good negotiator, he can adapt his personality to get the best results from any situation. But just because he’s shouting doesn’t mean he’s angry, he’s just doing what will intimidate his target.
That's the whole point of the game; He's denying his emotions, even Machine Connor is, since at the very end his screams NO!! If deviant connor wakes everyone up and dies right after.
the funny thing is that if Hank really knew his partner, he would know that his Connor's serial number ends in 51 and not 60 like the fake one. Both numbers are clearly visible on the right side of their jacket.
i just noticed this too. the connor on the left was 51 and the one on the right is 60, with connor 51 being Hank's partner. I think Hank knew about Connor's serial ending with 51. but from how i see it, hank might've been too far away from the both of them to tell which serial was which.
I was just about to say that. I remember thinking "Wait, don't they have different serial numbers?" when Hank couldn't tell them apart on my first playthrough.
@@TheHound-p5git is one of the cool details that the serial number goes up after eatch "death". The next one get a new number. The exception to this is the first scene with connor. The one that deals with the hostage situation ends in 51, and regardless if he dies or not, the next we meet also ends in 51
@Koriander Yander But the real Connor can die several times and yet we still remember about Cole. They both know about Cole. But the way the real Connor speaked to Hank, he was sincere, really sorry for Hank. Whereas the other Connor just quickly gave the answers to say: I know it. He knows but doesn't feel. This is how Hank could tell which one was his partner, and which one was a sack of shit xD
@@shydreameress264 Yeah, probably or definitely that. But i think the thing of keeping the memories about Cole and Sumo when you control the real Connor is just part of the game's key to do the good ending of the story Cuz it's canon that whenever a Connor die, the other one stores only the important memories for the investigation, the things like remembering a kid's name or a dog's name can be so called "junk files" for a detective android like Connor, since it doesn't add in anything to the investigation. Amanda even talks about that when you are in the deviant path, in the snowy variant of her place when you start asking questions for her instead of answering questions she does. "It doesn't pertain to your investigation"
This just might be me. But I like the way Hank said. "Sorry, Conner." Like he a kid caught in the cookie jar. I don't know if you hear it the same way. But that's the way it sounds to me.
Thanks for all the great Detroit: Become Human videos! I was wondering if you guys would upload a playthrough where Connor dies in all possible ways (or just the main possible deaths that he can resurrect from)?
the first 9 numbers (313 247 343 or something like that) don't matter. they're the same on both. the last two (-51, -52, etc.) do. the evil connor is -60. our connor is going to be something between -51 and -58, i believe (depending on how many times he's died - every time connor dies, that number ticks up one)
I think part of the problem there is, even if he did have Connor’s serial number memorized, Hank was probably too far away to read that tiny text and getting closer to the fake Connor would be dangerous
“Thanks Hank, I don’t know how I would’ve managed without you, get rid of him we have no time to lose” should’ve been a dead giveaway, the real Connor doesn’t talk like that
I realized something tho, why Hank didn't look at the two Connor's serial number? Surely he would recognize who's the real one right? And I'm curious why did Connor know Cole's death but Hank didn't tell him.
Bro this happened with me and my cousin last week we were fighting over the last Dr Pepper I twisted his leg and picked me up and threw me at the table it was a mess
I know seeing the androids happy is fun and all but imagine having an android that will always be obedient to us and one day they tell us they're alive and they want to be free? yeah creepy as shit right?
i say give them what they want, if they look like us, if their intelligence is superior give them what they want they are the only thing that's as smart as us because i don't see anyway we will be able to turn animal sounds into english language
the only thing we'd have to deny is letting them own a city or country or even island or if they want to be president we'd have to deny their request because we don't know what their plans are they can easily lie maybe build them a city somewhere but they can't own it
