Ahh the memories! In the First Lady commercial I find it funny that they keep saying "come get your prom dresses" but they had all these older women modeling the dresses. You'd think they would have found some teenage girls to model the dresses lol
I remember that every other commercial on WXON TV20 was Singletons Cleaners. Very appropriate as TV20 "Was The Place For Kids" and they would run the crap out of these Singletons commercials during kids shows.
Yep this was when channel 62 in Detroit was black owned and operated and an independent station, in 1994 the station was forced to become a CBS affiliate and it hasn't been the same since.
That dude from the singletons cleaners commercial used to make me laugh my ass off. my dad used to say it looks like someone just opened a bottle of e&j at the end of the commercial. by the way the dude does that lil move.

Rudy Iraheta WGPR 62 (now WWJ) when it was a black owned and operated independent station from its sign on in September 1975, that came to an end on December 11,1994 when it took the cbs affiliation because of the new world Communications situation/big switch shortly after longtime CBS affiliate WJBK 2 switched its affiliation with FOX after new world bought the station.
