I realized that after I watched the uploaded video- if there were intakes it wouldn’t be a 2 stroke, right?! Thank you for the comment and for watching
That is an awesome truck. I drove a 1967 1600 Loadstar with a 345 gas engine and in 1971 a Fleetstar with a 238 and 10 speed. Nice to see the two in one truck you made!
No kidding?! That’s pretty darn cool. They’re cumbersome and slow and loud and smoky compared to the trucks of today, but they were workhorses and trucks like that built and re-built this country.
Thats the kind of truck I'd build when the financial resources allow-great job, really enjoyed following your work! PS Michigan guy here too-love the Anti Whitmer sign!
This is a very cool truck. Very good job. Well done. Question: Do you have an idea what this truck cost new? (just a ball park) Thanks for documenting this. I graduated from HighSchool in 1970. Thus my crazy interest. Edit-- I have done some research and found that a half-ton chevy (around that time) cost about $2,500. So my guess is the IH would cost 2 to 4 times that much depending on the options. That is as close as I have gotten.
