How would I reach this gentleman. I'm in NJ and cannot get to Michigan. There may be monetary relief for him for the fraud they committed to get him a mortgage. People were not aware of what was being done on the back end to get their mortgage and some of these banks that committed fraud have been sued! I am a short sale specialist and have been working with people looking their homes since 2008! I can tell he's for real...just by the way he explained that went on!

Tell him about Peacemaker's International Church in Detroit Michigan on Chene street. I've grown up with the ministrie's pastor and their family my whole life. I worked there as well. I dont live in Michigan anymore. I still keep in touch with the church and Pastor Jeremiah Upsher (son of Pastor Steve Upsher). They have what's called the Jesus Home. They take in the homeless and are a strong faith based community. This guy would benefit greatly with the community. I'm not sure if you're still in touch with this guy or not --

Hi Jan, someone pointed out comments you left about me on another channel. If you have issues with me, please feel free to say them to be directly. My email is: mark [at] invisible people [dot] tv Please know Invisible People is a 501c3 nonprofit with a board of directors. They oversee the nonprofit to make sure there is accountability. Our primary mission is to educate the general public on homelessness. You should also know I am the biggest donor to Invisible People. In fact, this Michigan trip is funded by me. I am donating $1,500 to cover the expenses of this trip. No money or profit is being made. There is no con. Just real authentic storytelling empowering homeless people to share their own stories and highlighting those that are working to end homelessness like the Street Medicine Detroit. My reputation and Invisible People's reputation is impeccable and is validated by the governments, nonprofits, and brands we work with. If I was not a man of integrity, organizations like Street Medician Detroit would not give me an open door, which they do. I have a feeling you're reacting to my views that I stated about the church in a live stream. I was an executive pastor in a 5,000 member church and I also worked at two mega-churches with a membership above 15,000 each. I strongly believe the church could end homelessness tomorrow if it wanted to, but it does not. Here is more about my views: “Rescue Missions of the Future: Speaking to the Faith Community About Housing First” medium.com/@hardlynormal/rescue-missions-of-the-future-speaking-to-the-faith-community-about-housing-first-84c75cf5e1f5 Church attendance and even a belief in God is on the decline. Part of the reason is Christianity has become known as a religion of hate, not love. That bothers me and it should bother every Christian. The church needs to change. I am vocal about that need to change out of love. I strongly believe that the evangelical church in American is failing because people have been programmed to put conversions to Christianity over extending unconditional love to non-Christians. We’ve become know as the religion of hate. I also believe the “quota of conversions” religious programming has been passed down through generations as a church growth strategy. I worked in three mega churches and in each one the business of church prioritizing Sunday morning services was of the upmost importance. Helping hurting people took a backseat to the pastor’s preaching. Evidence of that is the huge budgets churches spend on entertaining church goers with elaborate productions compared to outreach budgets. I believe that in the next few decades the evangelical church will be forced to change. With the job loss from automation and continued lack of affordable housing, people are no longer going to support Sunday mornings. Churches will have to prioritize helping their community over preaching or they will no longer exist. Nine-in-ten Americans believe in a higher power, but only a slim majority believe in God as described in the Bible www.pewforum.org/2018/04/25/when-americans-say-they-believe-in-god-what-do-they-mean/ All the very best to you, Mark

Invisible People Jesus is the answer not the church or a religion. It’s 100% knowing Him as Savior and Lord. Another words a relationship with the living God through his Son Jesus. If we live our lives by his leading and examples and keep him in the center of our hearts and lives, through the power of the Holy Spirit, then everything and everyone will be where he wants them/us or it to be.

I discovered this channel because I want to connect with people that need help and want to make a difference. I've already contributed to the few people in these videos that have gofundme accounts. Georgina Edwards I agree. Our society places too much weight on materialistic items and possessions. Just having the basics is a great start for everyone and then move up from there. It's just sad how our country values seems to ignore the plight of all our citizens. We spend more money in one day in the defense budget than some countries spend all year. Our priorities are so messed up.
@maura1686
@maura1686 6 лет назад
Georgina Children are always playing. They love to camp outside, adventures, to climb a tree to get a fruit. But you are totally right. Mark's work has this additional feature which is teaching, to whom wants to learn, the real meaning of being alive, living in the present and believing that God will provide.

@eddiestanford7308 3 года назад
@@captainpawpawchannel You say capitalism is "hell", and yet, the very man we just watched in the video who at that time had been homeless for 9 years, identifies socialism as the problem. Now, between you and him, who do you think knows a little bit more about what puts a person out on the streets? The problem is that too many people, such as yourself, believe that America still operates under capitalism, and so you falsely equate everything you see as a strike against capitalism. America is a welfare state, and has been so since FDR. It's a product of socialist ideals. Capitalism is about free markets and the ability build to yourself up through hard work. And it encourages hard work by not subsidizing the irresponsible. Welfare is portrayed as a system of mercy for the less fortunate. It is not so. Welfare bleeds the pockets of hardworking people like the gentleman in this video, to pay for it's programs, which keeps people from being able to afford the cost of living, especially in bigger cities, which turns out more homeless people. The shelters run out of room, and welfare programs can't do anything for you at that point. Taxation of income is not a capitalist model. It's socialist. If people could keep their own money, it would solve a lot of problems. And people always donate to charity. They would donate even more, and there wouldn't be so many who needed help. I'm just giving you very basic outlines here. I would encourage you to research the heck out of it and learn for yourself.
@captainpawpawchannel

@@eddiestanford7308 come on, you can't call USA a welfare state, plus these last 40 years politicians have completely dismanteled all FDR's policies, you can't both say alleluia capitalism gave use prosperity and now that it collapses it's the fault of welfare...

Homelessness and poverty aren't signs that the system is broken but that it's working as it is designed to. Because it really does seem to be the perfect trap: lose your job > lose your home > lose your bank account. Then suddenly you can't get a job without an address or a bank account and of course how would you pay for a home without a job? What if those in control make sure we see enough people sleeping rough every day to scare us into working hard and towing the line? And if the poor are the stick, maybe celebrities are the carrot, to keep us reaching up for more of what we don't have?

@@KamalaKackles Yeah, the free market is catapulting tech wizards in companies like Amazon ahead of little mom and pop retail shops. So much for the future of small businesses.

Bless this man's heart!! It IS EXTREMELY sad what the economy fall around 2008 did to SO MANY hard working, law abiding, tax paying citizens!! SO MANY of which have NOT recovered! Experiences like that in life are sometimes EXTREMELY difficult to bounce back from at times!! For some, unfortunately, "bouncing back" never truly comes. SO MUCH of that kind of stuff in life, if it hits us at an already vulnerable time in our lives, we mentally/emotionally never seem to recover!! What gets me, is ANYONE'S life can be TOTALLY flipped upside down in a moment of time!!! NO ONE IS IMMUNE!! What we NEED in the human race, is compassion, empathy, understanding, love, for ALL of us to be a helping hand to those less fortunate in ANY way, shape or form! To share our gifts, talents & love with those around us, with absolutely NO intent,motives,strings attached, etc. If we all actively practiced random acts of kindness of ALL SORTS, then our world would AUTOMATICALLY become such a MUCH BETTER place to live!!! Thank you for always bringing us these real life stories. Looking into the lives of SO MANY of these homeless people, should fill us with the understanding we need to give them a hand up. Not necessarily financially per se...Rhee are MANY, MANY things we can do to help them. Let's All start with a simple smile, wave, kind & encouraging words, acknowledgement that these are people with hearts, souls, feelings, etc., just as important in this world, as the next person!! As we all do, they, TOO, NEED to be made to feel validated!! Be kind to ALL & it will be returned to you MANY, MANY times over!!!!

God bless you my brother! I am battling cancer myself. And between the harsh chemo and harsh surgery, The after effects are scary. I have been knocked to my knees the past year. I pray to god many times a day and night, that god will remove the fear from my life. And I can get back to being myself. You are such a kind soul. I can tell you have a great relationship with god.

I will be praying for this man. He was trying hard to live normal but circumstances sent him spiraling into a never ending impossible to solve cycle.I know because it happened to me. It's not as easy as most think.Once you become homeless,it's incredibly difficult to do anything to be normal again.Don't judge or give advice until you lived exactly what they did. If I didn't live in a tent myself,and had a home,I would take this man in. I let the homeless stay in my spare room when I had an apartment.hoping someone near him does the same

I understand totally..we built a house and as we were finishing the house...NAFTA was signed and eventually we lost house because boss said I don't have to pay you what your worth anymore and let him go. Got a job next day for less and not as many hours. We were one of the first to be hit by NAFTA and housing crash. I'm from Michigan also. This guy seems awesome. Good luck sir. We are starting a small business geared towards youth..but right now in garage.. otherwise I would offer some help. I will pray for this man. When you hit rock bottom..no where but up. God bless you.
