To clear things up in the future, all eligible linemen should just wear a Green Lantern ring and a Hello Kitty backpack. However, that might not work either, cuz the players would be fined for violating uniform rules. 🤦🏽♀️
Until the refs are fined and some games are overturned, I will always be convinced that the NFL is manipulated by Vegas and it's so obvious. This game should be overturned when you have video evidence! Makes it really hard to watch anymore.
Years ago I watched a game where the KO was an onside kick. 100% rigging and betting action there. They're pretty blatant about it because they know the fans really just want to watch high energy plays, eat snacks and get drunk, no different than pro wrestling. It's sad, but you can't get to the top in pro team sports without being part of the rigging.
@@rjhyden The NFL needs to put body cameras on refs.. and there should not be ANY un-reviewable calls. When a ref f**ks up, they should fix it .. every time.
Bills fan here. I'm sick to my stomach for my Detroit Brothers/Sisters. This is really weird. Really Really Weird. If the NFL doesn't get ahead of this, there will be A LOT of questions as to the integrity of the game. You have to release that ref from his duties and investigate him accordingly (bank statements, new purchases etc, etc).
Fixed bro, I’m a Saints fan and think a lot of Super Bowl win of 2010 scripted or designed because city suffered through Katrina all those years. Since if your a Saints fan been complete opposite of officiating
IT’S NOT A CONSPIRACY THEORY ANYMORE 🤬 After years and years of painful losses and following this team, this one finally broke my trust and faith in the league.. Massive playoff implications on the line, everything clearly laid out to the officials before the game, perfectly executed on the field, and a flag thrown 16sec after the play was dead. I can’t fucking take this shit anymore. Last night’s game ruined my love for the NFL and that fucking sucks dude…
I get it man. The NFL ruined my love for the game the night the refs gifted Rodgers two phantom face masks to ice the game for GB. It was an obvious rig job. The NFL is a joke.
Exactly about Barnes. It looked like he had no arms. Just using his hands would have prevented that kind TD. But let’s call this what it was, a blatant officiating screwup? Or by design. That crew should not be working in the NFL. EVER!
@@macsaints10 exactly. NFL wants Stafford to come back to play in Detroit for the ratings. Can't let the Lions have the #1seed or that won't happen. It's all for ratings.
After the blown call, if that is what it was, the Lions chose to go for the two point conversion a second time, and were intercepted. That should have ended the game right there. HOWEVER, those same REFS called an off side on Micha Parsons and afforded the Lions a THIRD opportunity to score. They should have just kicked the extra point to send the game to OT. Instead, the coach willfully chose to go for two a third time, and failed. The Lions only have themselves to blame for the loss. They got too greedy. Blaming the refs won't do any good. They make mistakes as do the players, and the refs have to watch 22 grown ass men coming in and out of the game, and officiate more than 100 plays. They are bound to screw up just like the players do. Humans are not perfect. Stop pretending that they are. Goff threw THREE interceptions, with one of them erased because Parsons was off sides, which gave the Lions a THIRD chance to take the game to OT, but instead they gambled and lost.
I definately dont think the referee made up this plan in the middle of the game. That would be crazy for him to think of that in the exact moment. But he DEFINATELY SCREWED UP and told the Cowboys it was no. 70, instead of 68.
@@nebtheweb8885 well, I’m glad you admit the ref blew the call. Anything after this point is mute! What pisses me off is the explanation that Allen gave stating there were 2 penalties on that play. If that were true, then why didn’t he say that at the time? Allen screwed up and is lying to cover his butt. As for the fix being in, that’s a bit outside of my comfort zone. I will however admit Allen’s crew have been involved in a few controversial calls this year. It does make one wonder.
49er fan here...yall got screwed. There's no easy way to put it.. props to the lions for their battle this year and making it into the playoffs... i mean, it's been a while...as much as it sucks don't let it take away from what yall have done already. Much respect 🙏💪
How did they get screwed? You mean dallas got screwed on that tripping call they got wrong. So many biased cowboy haters on here that just don't like the facts
You sound like a Trump supporter! What about? Perhaps you should look at it again. There was no tripping! He might have tried, but he never touched the running back. There is no penalty in the books for trying to trip if you don't succeed.
Welcome to the WWNFL where Jerry Jones can buy false victories. The refs and Rodger Goodall are on the take. Sports betting has ruined this sport and it will be its demise. Decker reports, he catches the pass and we win 21-20. I feel bad for Decker who was the hero of this game and that was stolen from him just like this victory. The ref lied and we get screwed again. This is disgusting and the officiating was pathetic. One Pride
@@svenjorgensenn8418 Wrong because Decker was lined up as a tight end not a lineman, he reported and the ref made the mistake of saying 70 reported. Learn the NFL rules before you make ignorant comments
@@svenjorgensenn8418if you were right, the Lions commit a penalty every time they declare skipper as a eligible receiver. You can have 7 if you have two tight ends. Decker is lined up as a tight end that leaves 5 "linemen" on the line and a "tight end". You are actually a stump.
@@svenjorgensenn8418 Correct me if I'm wrong but if the Lions narrative is correct there is no illegal formation nor the other issues with the play. All of those came about due to the ref clearly getting the call wrong.
The NFL is self destructing. Im not sure if this was a mistake or a rigged game but either way the NFL has a huge issue with missed calls that decide games. As a fan, I dont want to watch games where the team that WON gets screwed by the refs and the LOSING team gets handed the game.
Exactly my feeling as it ended. What a useless waste of time.. not because we lost... but because the real play of the whole game didn't matter. When you ruin that, what do you have? It's like watching a biography & then having some big joke that it wasn't true at the end.
Before the game even started, I saw that Jimmy Johnson was there for induction into the Ring of Honor and I saw Emmitt Smith was there, too, and my first thought was, "How are the refs going to fix it to let the Cowboys win?" Well, the answer was there for everyone to see. My next question is not if the ref had a bet down on the game, but how BIG a bet did this ref have down on this game? Ever since Tim Donaghy was caught by the NBA some years back for betting on NBA games he refereed I suspected that an NFL official or 2 would get nailed for the same thing. Well, what happened here looked more like TV wrestling than a supposedly honestly refereed sport. Hello, Las Vegas? How much did Brad Allen bet on the Cowboys yesterday?🤑🤑🤑
The crew that officiated the Packers-Chiefs game, led by referee Brad Allen, also handled the Saints-Falcons game on Nov. 26 in Atlanta, where there was another controversial missed defensive pass interference call. This same crew made the same bogus call against the Lions team. Tell me this crap isn't fixed.
@Diogenes-ty9yy I get you, but why would they call the bogus tripping? Dallas would have r I n the clock out and game over. This year has been one of the worst in history. The refs could have called illegal formation as well because they only had 6 on the line.
Didn't they demote the entire crew for the playoffs? Yeah, cold comfort and a token gesture, but at least they know they effed up and were kind of publicly humiliated.
That ref should be fired for ignoring the changes about eligible players. He didn't want to hear it. he blew him off, you can see it on rewind. He did not listen. He knew it might be big & he could call him on it.
The NFL is in the entertainment industry, not the sports industry. This means that they aren’t under sports betting laws and instead are under entertainment betting laws. This allows them to rig football with the refs like wrestling. We need accountability
The sports betting rules dont have anything to do with it, i dont think. The NFL themselves can rig games anytime they want, and its not illegal, but should a player rig a game, god forbid, its the end of the fucking world. Sound familiar? The people who make the rules get to do whatever they want while everyone else is subject to them, almost tyrannically so. MANY SUCH CASES!
@@PeenWienerstien Why do you think Jimmy G was benched earlier this season, its because he didn't follow the script. Raiders were supposed to cover the spread against the Lions in week 8, but Jimmy G missed a wide open Devante Adams by a mile ensuring his mob buddies would win with Det -7
If it is fixed why throw the flag for defense off sides the next play. Just ignore it and the games over. If it was rigged they wouldn’t have given them the third chance
This is why it is a definition of INSANITY is when we as fans hope for a different outcome and it ALWAYS turns out the same way - REFS STEAL THE GAME….AGAIN

this gambling needs to stop...here they are pushing it on live tv during games and shows we watch. Pete rose got removed from baseball because of it...He is the only player in any sports that this happened to ..really? if the players do it...why wouldn't the refs do it too?
As a Bears fan, I am rooting for Detroit in the upcoming playoffs, and was rooting for you in this game. I've also seen my fair share of gimmies from the refs that go against my Bears. I firmly believe that the teams that sell better, make more money for the League(tm) always get the calls in December/January. Seriously though, kick their arses in the playoffs, show'em what the North is made of!
Wow - what a great game Detroit Lions; especially defense. The ending was UNBELIEVABLE; especially when understanding all the particulars of Coach Campbell pre-informing the refs and the player obviously reporting in as eligible. Then SUCH A LATE FLAG. Coach Campbell had a plan and the refs did not have their brain on, or are corrupt. That we will never know. Here is the question - who throws the flag on poor officiating that ruins a games outcome? They COULD HAVE USED the replay camera to SHOW prima facie the correct player reported in. I actually hurt for the Lions who earned THIS WIN. This will turn up the Detroit Lions fire. The Cowboys - they did NOT win that game. Go Lions!
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED: The Dallas win last night was probably legit...let me explain. There was something that was fishy about that whole sequence, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I got back up later and looked over that play again. My opinion is that it all was scripted and practiced. Too much was going on. Even the part when Goff told 68 to go check in was part of the ruse, in case people went back to check the tape. 1. Goff clearly tells 68 to report. 2. 68 and 58 walks over to the referee. (Why did 58 go too? Well because the numbers are similar it introduced more confusion). 3. Timing is important here... 70 who is leaving the sideline running onto the field towards the referee inline with the referee and not his QB raises his hand as the referee looks his way. Detroit is hoping to both initiate an "inception" in the referee that 70 is on his way to him to report... at the same time 58 and 68 gets to the referee just before 70 and 68 says "report" just as 70 runs up. 4. The referee has now been tricked into thinking that 70 has reported and not 68. This is important because it's his job to either announce the now eligible lineman# or inform the defense verbally. He informs them verbally that 70 has reported. 5. This is what Detroit wanted... Dallas has been informed incorrectly that its 70 and therefore 68 is not covered. 6. Play works. 7. I imagine that in the last of the plan, Detroit was hoping that upon review, the referee would concede that 68 did report. 8. This was actually a goal line trick play that they probably had for a one use clutch goto, and it almost worked. 9. The referee is taking a lot of heat and may lose his job... but ironically, he got the number wrong. Therefore, the call was wrong. However, the result of the call was probably correct. 10. Detroit Lions players.and coaching staff are only acting butt-hurt. 11. The question that we should take from this is... is it okay for a team to target NFL game officials in their game strategy?
@@fredericksavage3472 I appreciate your comments and details. The only problem is that I watched the video and # 70 is not close that close to the official comparatively to #68. #70 doesn’t say a thing to the official. Perhaps some confusion is intended, that I don’t agree, however, it is on the part of confusing Dallas, not the official. - In sum, no one was TARGETING THE OFFICIAL. People were too upset, and now after hearing near everyone involved, the official blundered and got it wrong. IF he was paying proper attention actually realizing who is standing before him - watch him he is not - he would have / could have gotten the report # correct. This remains pathetic NFL officiating, and because of that, always going to raise the question of “integrity of the call.” There was allot at stake in this game - like many games - the fans, the teams, the employees and even cities of those teams unfairly suffer from the consequences of poor officiating THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. - So, this wasn’t targeting officiating. This is an NFL problem under poor leadership. When all is over and done, nothing, as usual, will be done. FAILED LEADERSHIP. The NFL opens itself to the question of “integrity” in many respects. Me? - and thousands of others - are really tiring of it. Again, thank you for stating your thoughts.
That's a good analysis if you are drinking Cowboy koolade. No matter how many what ifs you want to throw around, everyone in the country knows the Lions won and not the Cowboys.
Yet they only had 6 men on the line. Illegal formation. Let's just admit the refs have sucked this year. Lamb being held and his butt exposed, tripping call, Dallas PI or holding not called, holding or pi when Dallas TE not called. They miss penalties on every play. Dallas's loss to Philly, was basically the same call only against Dallas, and TD was taken away. Miami non holding calls against Parsons. Actually all year. @@flash521
The official is explained that play and what number will be eligible before the game is even played, They even draw it out for them on a white board. Only1 player is reported as eligible. Of course it is practiced. It is up to the official to explain it to the defense so none of that should matter. Unless of course the officials completely get it wrong. @@fredericksavage3472
Graft and corruption are like that. Go back and look at referee Allen almost running by the Lion players to get to the Dallas players. Decker couldn’t get his attention as Allen flew by. See if you can find one eye to eye communication between Allen and any Lion player. You’ll have to look a long time. Say, fore ever. There was none. Howabout a change in Cowboys’ influence on refs. ALL NFL referees be hired and paid for by the nfl and owners have no contact with referees for personal or business matters.
I love Dan Campbell‘s playcalling and I’m glad he was aggressive because we were in a no lose situation, the whole game and he was in playoff mode trying to win the game trying new things and all kind of different things. I wish I could actually talk to that man and tell him that I have his back 100%. I know a whole bunch of people are going to be talking bad about him and saying he shouldn’t have did this and he shouldn’t have did thatwith the lions, you know how many times we come up short, if we tie it who’s saying all screw us out of the dang overtime when it now get it over with enjoy the rest of your day that’s the way I feel
My feeling is that Dan Campbell still sees this team as a work in progress -- building their confidence and aggressiveness at all costs because they can't make the Super Bowl playing cautiously. I think 2024, when they have cap money to fill their holes with stars, is the year Holmes and Campbell see them as true title threats.
2pt conversion attempt is almost always better in that situation over OT. OT gives a 50/50 win probably while 2 pt has also has a 50/50 probably. Plus you have defense on the ropes with the momentum of a TD.
His aggressiveness would be perfect if he changed one thing: do not give up field goals unnecessarily to do it, because it is a game of points. We lost 3 games that very likely could have been wins, if we had taken the field goals. Imagine that record: 14-2
I agree with taking field goals but when you’ve already clinched the division and you have jamo hurt and LaPorta limping on the sideline you probably don’t need to be playing anymore football than you need to so I agree with just going for 2 at the end
I agree, going for 2 the first time was a good agressive play "especially on the road" but when they got moved back to the 7 yard line they should've kicked the extra point
I find the aggressiveness more entertaining to watch really. It is bold and I really like Campbell's press interview when asked about going for it after that. "We were gonna finish the game. We were going for the win."
So Jerry paying the refs now. Doubt that. All have been screwed by the refs. But, if Dan just kicks the extra point & tie it up. Force OT. His defense was making plays, he must didn't trust them.

Thank you for acknowledging the defence played well. I get Ceedee had a big game. But understand what the defence was actually accomplishing. The scheme was to make the cowboys one dimensional. They did that. It was literally dak and ceedee. No one else. I believe that was the game plan. Bend but don’t break. Be there at the end. (The Derrick barns play was the glaring failure).
Did you watch the game? On the 92 yard TD to lamb #55 could of easily sacked dak...he just ran rite by him, then the db mysteriously falls down on the catch. They are all in on it, just the fan boys can't come to terms with it
Yep. If Barnes wraps up Dak, this game is a whole other story. Instead of a safety , it goes the other way for 92 yd td. So ceedee wouldn't have had that many yards had Barnes did his job.
You take away the aggressive nature of this team…the taking chances and working to win rather than settle…and you change the nature of this team significantly. Would they win more if they did that? Maybe. But at this point dance with the one that brought ya. High risk, high reward. Sometimes you get burned, but in the main this has been a benefit to the Lions.

Jerry Jones must have gave Allen a special bonus for this call! “America’s Team” my ass. Why is it almost every time we visit the Cowboys we get screwed by the officials? Guess it’s just a coincidence, eh?
Campbell made some overly aggressively calls, BUT... this is another example of Detroit getting screwed by part-time officials that benefits Dallas. The playoff game in Dallas where the officials waived off a PI flag, and now another "mistake" that will cost Detroit and benefit Dallas (and FanDuel). If teams, coaches and players can get fined when they publicly state facts about a blown call; then Roger Goodell and the officials should be fined for blown calls that cost a team a win! Or worse a playoff spot / home field. At this point the NFL needs to replace Roger Goodell, hire full-time officials (and implement a system to hold them accountable / use replay to actually get the calls right), and rethink their relationship with casinos, drug cartels, and dark money. It's no longer sport, or entertainment. It's warped into blatant corruption and money laundering.
Can’t bring up real stuff that hurts their narrative. If I remember they had TWO more shots to convert and didn’t. Was it the refs that made that interception and the refs that made the bad throw on the last attempt?
Lion should cut Derek the bum Barnes! If you can’t make a wide-open tackle on a defensive less quarterback, holding a ball, You shouldn’t be playing in the NFL period!!!! do you trust him Dan Campbell, and Aaron Glenn? do you trust him? Trevor Nowaske would have made the big play!!!!!
Yeah, and it would have been a safety, +2 points Detroit and Detroit would have received the free kick. Instead we had a missed tackle, a failed CB and a 7 point swing in Dallas favor.
There wasn’t two players eligible. Only one reported. Extra offensive lineman don’t have to report so skipper was in as an extra olineman and decker was the uncovered wr on his side.
Love the aggressive play calling. Sucks when it doesn't work, but it sets a tone for the entire team. When you have the opportunity, go for the throat. It's also incredibly fun to watch. Bullshit call aside, the end of that game was thrilling.
All the NFL and Dallas have to do is to release the "miked up" audio from Micah Parsons. Parsons was within earshot when the ref ran over to tell the Dallas Defense. What the ref told Dallas either exonerates the Refs or buries the Refs.
Unless the audio picked up 68 reporting I don't see how it would matter. No one is disputing that the ref told the defense 70 reported. The issue is that 68 reported and the ref mixed up the numbers and told the defense the wrong number either mistakenly (which is still inexcusable) or on purpose to make sure he would be able to throw the flag to make sure Dallas won.
No it wouldn't. Most likely, the ref got the numbers jumbled in his head & announced the wrong one to The Cowboys. Horrible mistake for the ref to make when the clock wasn't running on a trick play he'd had explained to him pre-game. The video makes it really hard to believe that #70 said ANYTHING to the ref or that #68 didn't declare clearly. The audio might exonerate the DAL defense for not playing it properly because they were misinformed, that's it. Soccer and rugby use VAR for this stuff very well. The NFL needs to address it pdq. But the ultimate blame, imo, falls on Campbell for the following attempts at the conversion. Just undisciplined rage overwhelming football sense. Going for the two-pointer twice AFTER that was just a tantrum, imo.
@@Dogasaurus I'd still like to hear the audio. But all of your points are rationale and well thought out. Seems like we are talking about the Refs every game these days.
As a Bengals fan having the refs give KC extra 3rd down and every call during AFC championship game and it's illegal to touch Mahomes, I feel your pain. I'm rooting for the Lions. good luck with the refs.
Kicking the field goal on fourth and goal earlier in the game would have solved all of this problem and you wouldn't have the officials being a part of any of it.
Actually Tackling Dak Prescott for the safety would have hellped here too. Having Penei Sewell and Dan Skipper stay away from the Ref would have helped that be a no call and a win also. It was not 100% Brad Allen.
I was screaming at the TV at that point. I said you have to take the points. You can’t have that fake punt and come away with nothing on the board. I was with Campbell on the 2 point conversion until the penalty. Then you have to tie it. Did he want to win this game or was he messing around trying new things to see how they worked? I have my doubts on whether or not he gave a hoot about winning this one.
lmao. a rigged game is a rigged game. they would have found something else. seriously. you live in fantasy land. no call on the safety in the end zone...holding. amon ra was raped on last drive. purposely no call. they find stuff when they need to. the crooked NFL does. or they overlook stuff. preoblem for them? just like the presidential election, they made their cheating too obvious. they had to because Lions were too good at end. they had to find something. so they made something up.
you lion fans are fools, the facts are Decker didnt make it clear. You can see the ref goto the d line and say "70 is checked in" No where did he say 68. Its also clear 68, and another lineman went up to the ref and 70 was coming onto the field to check in. I believe Decker just was trying to hide it which is foolish because the ref always has to let the defense know. So for him to try and do it all hidden and quietly is foolish.
@Simracing25 You got the result you wanted. Making excuses for the cheaters doesn't make you a winner, and blaming the team that got screwed for trying to trick the refs is just stupid. You and your cowgirls are all losers.
I think because Ben had Skipper declare eligible regularly, for the last couple of games at least, that the ref just assumed that Skipper was declaring eligible again. And his assumption led him to ignore Decker who reported right in front of his face. The Lions lined up legally and executed perfectly. Ref just screwed up.
I think you nailed it….i believe the ref just assumed Skipper was coming in to be eligible because he had been doing it a lot. But then again Decker could have been more demonstrative and ask the ref if he understood that he was eligible. This looks more like either a lack of communication or miscommunication.
You had 58 and 68 over there surrounding the ref and then 70 runs up and says something. I think the Lions were trying to confuse the Cowboys about who was reporting but ended up confusing the ref. Campbell mentioned in his press conference that 3 players can't report. That just makes things even more confusing. What if 58, 68 and 70 reported? Can the ref pick which one is no longer eligible? In the end I think the ref probably made the mistake. I am glad I am not a kid anymore that kind of ending would have ruined my whole week.
@@Cantor214 yes I’m sure that the Lions planned having all 3 guys go to the ref. It was an attempt to possibly cause some confusion for the Cowboys. But only one guy talked to the ref, #68, and the ref ignored him because he assumed he knew what was going on. He was wrong.
Ngl, it’s not even the game being rigged, it’s just refs being stupid, same thing happened to us last week with the dolphins with absolutely zero holding calls on the dolphins, these refs are stupid as hell and once again, should be fined for the incompetence.
Lions didn’t win Hutchinson tripped well attempted too and they called it on Dallas. So that 2 point conversion shouldn’t ever have taken place . Stop the bs excuses
Has anyone mentioned but I feel the last thing DC wanted was an overtime game with the playoffs a few weeks away Jamo already dinged we didn’t need to run the risk of additional injuries occurring for a possible not guaranteed move up in the playoff seeding.
68 means 68. He (Allen) didn't hear that? He didn't say he didn't hear it. Decker did his part. end of conversation. The ref should have acknowledged he made a mistake Or was on the take. Now Dallas can play at home and they don't have to play San Francisco. Just like Jerry Jones wanted it NFL should do the right thing.
I agree Dan should've took the 3pts early in the game to keep the team alive and keep adding points but thats our identity to play tough, and I understand why he didn"t go for the tie, because he didn't want to risk his players possibly getting injured if they was to continue playing, we going to the playoffs no matter what, we need all of our guy ready and heathy, he just wanted to end the game right then and there for his guys but unfortunately things didn't go as planned because we got ROBBED AT GUN POINT WITHOUT A GUN! #DetroitvsEVERYBODY
Are we talking about the ref who called a 15 yard penalty against Dallas with 2:00 left on an infraction that was clearly committed by Detroit? That ref?
Penei Sewell had a similar play last year and before the play I'm yelling at the TV go for it I didn't want overtime it was either win or lose in my mind and it was also in mcdc mind also
If the 2014 wildcard game in Dallas (picked up flag) wasn't a revelation for NFL fans I don't know what it'll take to convince them that the league is biased against certain teams.
I agree especially with the end of the game situation. I can live with going for the TD on fourth down earlier in the game. By not kicking the extra point after the blown call you wasted your team’s efforts. The odds for converting that two point conversion are low when moved farther from the goal line. You didn’t need two at that point you needed to salvage a bad situation for your team and give them a chance to overcome this mistake. Good game to get the teams head on straight prior to the playoffs. I don’t think a loss like this will do anything but galvanize this team. Look for at least one win in the playoffs.
I believe Campbell would have took the points if this had been a playoff game. We were playing with house money to improve seeding. Would have liked to see him take the points earlier after the fake punt for 3 free points but no issues with going for the win at the end all three times
@@73sporty Fuck what every happened earlier in the game, we went for the win we got, and it was a beautifully executed and legal play. The refs took that away on there own heinous freewill, this was not a bad or missed call, this was stolen from the lions. We won that game.
@@Spaceamace21 Huh? I agree it's a bad call. I said that I like the fact that Coach went for 2 again to win. Why risk injury in overtime? What good is maybe 2 seed if you lose key player ?
Allen had no idea what they were doing. It has been reported that Brad Allen NEVER showed up to the pregame meeting where coaches tell ALL of this to the refs. Rex Ryan even said this is how it's done.

Why are none of y’all talking about the phantom “tripping” call called on Dallas when Hutchinson was the one trying to trip Pollard. The Cry-ons should never have had the opportunity for a final drive if the blatant missed call on the Cowboys was not made.
I thought the same thing I thought all scoring plays were in review. Does that not include a 2 point conversion ? And remember it's Jerry Jones that selects and pays the refs he selects. Dallas and Green Bay have always had hometown refs for decades. And the NFL has never done anything but encourage the big market teams to always Win.
The ref gave 70 the right to catch a ball, 68 caught it. What's to review? Remember, it is up the player, not the ref, to ensure that everyone knows he is eligible.
My thought is that the plan to win was started when the Refs called the wrong team for tripping, taking away Cowboys first down. That set up the later call with the excuse that they weren't favoring the Cowboys. Then the mistake at the end. Just showed all world that they do make mistakes.😵💫🤔🤫🤐
@@deanheilman1979 >...or this particular officiating crew just aren't very good at their jobs? This bunch had made some egregious mistakes earlier this season.
He never would have been in FG range if he didn't go for it with the fake punt on 4th and 10 or whatever. You can't spurn aggressiveness when it's literally what got you to the dance.
Some of you are making these points about how the Lions should have done this or do this, kick a FG. These points have nothing to do with Brad Allen blowing a call.
You're right, the last play would have never happened because everything after kicking the field goal would be different. Field position, game clock, play calling and potentially the score would be different if we kicked the FG. People only complain about MCDC's play calling when it doesn't work. Analytics agrees with Dan on the majority of his 4th down calls. You wouldn't be complaining if the refs didn't screw us over.
RU-vid keeps deleting my comment, "As gambling in sports these days is allowed, the Money will do the talking and the referee's can change the outcome of the game to accommodate who will make more $$$$$ "
What about when they called tripping on hendershot when it was clearly Hutchinson. They missed that call which puts Dallas at the like 8 and it’s essentially game over. They run the clock out. Stop it… the Lions lost. It’s sad how many people use emotions to form their opinions.
That was a shifty call, too. Hutch may of tried to trip someone, but clearly, in the video, his leg never touched anyone. It's unfortunate it got called on Dallas, but it should of never been called in the first place. They clearly didn't see anyone get tripped, so they likely made up who it was on to lol.
If it was rigged for Dallas then why call the mystery “tripping” call on Dallas’ last drive? Or why let Detroit score the TD in the first place - they could have called holding on Parsons on any of those plays.
I'm one of those that always defended the refs saying "things happen fast in a game and nobody is perfect" but this season I've even been shaking my head. This season has by far been the worst referee season in nfl history, and you really can't help but make the connection - First super bowl in Vegas - worst ref calls ever. I hope it's not the case, but the alternative that the refs just suck that bad isn't any better. Either way Refs need to start having consequences for some of this stuff, if nothing else tell them if you have X number of wrong calls in a season your fired.
the problem is the refs are doing a perfect job. They are doing exactly what they are PAID to do. The misunderstanding is you might not realize who's paying them.

Nothing about the missed tripping call on Hendeshot??? Thats was clearly Hutchinson, but they missed that call that would have iced the game before Detroit even gets the ball back.
Love how nobody in chat is talking about the previous bogus penalty that even gave the Lions this possession. But I guess errors are OK as long as it benefits your team.
You lion fans are seriously crying over that wild ending. THE OFFICIAL CALLED TRIPPING AGAINST COWBOYS TE WHEN IT WAS THE LIONS DE HUTCHINSON THAT THREW HIS LEG OUT TRYING TO TRIP RB POLLARD. BAD CALL AGAINST THE COWBOYS - NOW IT’S EVEN. Game would have been over by DALLAS.
PFFT The Lions tried to cheat and got busted. Move on. If the game was rigged, they wouldn't have called Parsons offsides on Goffs endzone interception. The Lions need to worry more about getting 230 yards passing put up on their soft secondary.
