If you are old enough to remember the Barry Sanders era, one of the reasons why the Lions lost to the Redskins is that the Redskins had a well-balanced team. The Lions now have a well-balanced team. The Redskins won the Super Bowl that year. The Lions can win the Super Bowl this year.

How good is GB? They have a lot of good players And JLO is very good However the Lions are loaded with great talent. If our Defense shows up it won’t even be close.

Agree. Lions are strong and balanced (a little young on D, but look good). Fair assessment of NFC North. As good an outlook as we might expect at this point.

Carlton Davis is better than any CB the Lions had last season except maybe Branch. Davis still has to show me he is a shutdown CB, I hope he is. Davis, Robertson, Arnold, Rakestraw, and (if he can come back) Mosely are all quality players. Add in Brian Branch as a swing Safety/Nickel/Corner and the CB improvement is evident. Out of that bunch... three players are certainly "good enough" starters and then there are some above average backups too. Vildor is still with the team but is probably the odd man out until there is an injury (he can play and is a fine depth piece). CB might be a very strong position for the Lions, but I need to see it on the field before I go an annoint them anything.

I won’t take anything away from Justin Love, he is a starting qb for a reason. But I don’t think he was making insane throws, half the time he literally just airing out the ball and WRs making plays. Yes, that’s what qbs do in terms of throwing the ball, but he really wasn’t doing anything special.

LOL...I love how he was surprised that the Ravens were at #5. I know we love our Lions but they destroyed us last year. I have no issues with Baltimore being high on the list AND above Detroit. We can't expect to be listed above them after getting thumped by like 32 points.

Buddy, I hope JJ doesn't win with the Vikings too, but he was the most pro ready QB in this class thanks to Jimmy's offense at Michigan. He ran it perfectly but trust he has a LIVE NFL arm and it probably won't be instantaneous, but he is going to ball and be a problem for a LONG time... we will just be better 🍻
