Motherfuckers tore it up. I’m from Chicago and grew up on house/ techno/ underground music since late 80s, and Detroit in terms of music I feel is blood to us, plenty of similarities but far more differences in feel. It’s always so interesting to hear Detroiters’ take on a lot of the same music that was so much a part of the Chicago scene, and how similar but different the Chicago sound and the Detroit sound are from each other. This set has so much uptempo funk and is always exciting. So many sets nowadays are/ get so flat and monotonous and have a ton of filler tracks. Thanks guys for a great set and keeping my attention span engaged.

One huge request, PLEASE make the sets LOUDER! The volume’s so damn low, especially with the devices’ volume limiters nowadays. Listening from the phone, laptop, or in the car, I’m crying because I can’t get my fix on the BASS BUMPIN AND THUMPIN! FUCKING SIKKK SET!!!!
I will never understand how people can just be standing around at these venues. What's wrong with them? Dance your f**ing asses off! Move your bodies! Do something! These beats are insane!
Lots of people looking like: Wow this is awesome. The fixed looks on the decks what the guys are doing. They are so amazed they do not know how to move ;)
I see a lot of that at the videos of overseas parties too. People standing there on their phones and swaying. I was a Bay Area partier from '91 to 2000. No smart phones, so drop your party favor and dance until the sun came up.
I think it's partly because todays techno requires more technical mixing skills and doesn't rely on big build ups or 'drops.' You need to concentrate on it more to get it and appreciate the skills. Older techno was better for just having a good old rave to :-)
that's d bass we used to drive around with our windows down even in the dead of winter trying to hear that bass in the distance then try and follow it to the party. that's if we didn't have the scoop on where it was. it changed all the time we didn't have websites to go to we had to call a number off of a flyer at a specific time that left a short message with an address.
wow. im a beginner dj but see this daaaam this dudes open my eyes and my mind with this insane performance. these are the real dj's. thanks to teach me how the old school make and break the rules!!
Check out the 90´s and let your Fantasy inspirate you. I lived the scene in Zürich Switzerland. I like specially Trance and Goa in a minimalist Beat....mix that with some acid House...hahahaha. My Tip: "Lost Treasures, Creatures from the Deep" from TJ Tiesto at his Beginings 1997.
P f f f wtf happend to me????? MASTERS!!! This is techno for real. I also like it when the records are a little bit off beat. This makes it really raw. As it should be.
How old are you??? Have you ever seen before Dj Set??? Thats terrible what they do! Look at Dj Seoul left site. He thinks he is cool but its terrible.Senseless skills senseles extrem bad scratches and so on......
Saw these guys when they came over to the UK in 2013. They played at a warehouse venue in Leeds and on the same night me and a friend managed to blag a b2b DJ set in the back room. Managed to catch their whole set as we were playing later on. Proper no bullshit, no filler techno from start to finish. Was a pleasure to see them.

Yes mate it was ! I've just tried posting a link from my set on here but seems it won't allow it ... If you soundcloud DJ E- viction and scroll down it's there pal!
How, in, the, fuck, can you stand still and not have a smile on your face when strings of life is playing?! Come on now... And i could say that for most of the other tunes in this set too?
this is very interesting... middle guy is mixing and the side guys are riffing off of it, sampling, scratching etc. techno turntablism/live production from Detroit. pretty cool concept.
Well if still there and you can find them... just kidnap them and bring to UK please... You guys lift all us. Big Thank you. In music we trust, we connect with hearts....
@@electronictonalities7949 DJ left side wants to make a show scrached terrible got out of Step and so on!!! Wy ask you😂 thats the teribble idiot of Djs.... And they called them selve Detroit🤣🤣🤣 FOOOL!!!! 3 DJs and nobody of them DJ ed!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 idiot Baby Scratches!!! And so!!!! TERRIBLE
@@ultrajayme yep, pretty much impossible to have a technically flawless set with that many. I don't actually mind it, reminds me of the 90s where it wasn't always seamless mixing.
Shout out to these fellas and the rest of the crew for donating their time to The Michigan Glass Project every year. Dezi has got to be one of the nicest DJ's you will ever meet. (Mike Clarke might be right there with him.) Legit af mix. Thank you Boiler Room for capturing this.
36 mins in so the guy in front of you has just ripped his trainer off and is scratching with it, what do you do? - yep, check your email!!!! W T F !!! ;-)
ARE YOU FUCKING SHITTING ME? The crowd is standing there like mannequins while that DJ busted out a Speak and Spell! Never seen, or possibly heard that in any set I know of. Props to them as a whole. Fuck it, pack up and leave. No one seems excited about this at all. Just tell the crowd to go download this set.
Yes, watching a DJ get innovative with his set and use a Speak and Spell where no one is appreciating it is a bit sad. Imagine your favorite band showing up at a local coffee shop to perform, but people sit there on their phones to text instead of enjoying the music.. HOW ABOUT GO DANCE.
most of the crowds of boiler room sets are this way. why? hell if i know. ive never been to one. i see a lot of boiler room sets on youtube and theres always comments about how shitty the crowd is. who cares. the camera is focused on the dj (djs) for a reason. boiler room...all in all...main focus is the dj (djs). i use to look at it as disrespect or just these people who get in to watch have no soul. always felt bad for the artist...then i started to realize im missing a great set. funk that. regardless...i almost forgot just how ill this crew is. im glad this video was here to remind me. ✊✊✌✌
hab die erste Minute gehört, auf Minute 7 vorgespult haha seh nur den linken DJ wie er die Musik voll fühlt und der Techno mega gut ist:D hör mir jetzt einfach den kompletten Mix von Anfang an
boiler room neeeeeds more triple wax dj sets ,again,again,again..ohhh yeaa FINALLY! ..people b doin the train.need to.mooo,ve their bodies..spoiled by the evolution of the exposure, to the public now almost never used vinyl, ,when it was just a UNDERGROUND ,map point, seat of your pants breakin,...only scene we had the best ,,none the less our sacred parties,we now share ... ,glad u all made it to throw this fat beat down, this is smooth, unlike most today w no vinyl ,makes no sense, feels like your at the party anticipating next mix, awesome
Hmm Vinyl. Much respect. Yes its House; and its black. Quite different to somewhat more hectic 1999 Washing Machine Techno which works the heart rather than the belly.
