The reason you can't do burnouts its because #1 tq management, my old 1500 5.3 with just 3.42s can do a burnout after removing some of the tq management. Or put a bigger stall and it will help.
@@LawrenceTolman yeah just mess with the tune and make some tweaks, I'm currently building a silverado and your video and tips are helpful keep up the good work 👍.
Hoping it’s a 502 Merlin with an old school tunnel ram and two Predator carburetor’s. That would set off ole ugly and he would become the stud of the block. Mad props on the spin cycle lol. Keep it up LT
Awesome man! And I'm thinking maybe old school big block Chevy in the ugly truck.. maybe a 8.1 out if this style truck.. that is in hopes of you keeping it a gm Engine anyway?
Just came across your video looking at 4.30 gears. I have a 5.3 with headers, cam, and stall. Rear end setup is next. How do you like the 4.30s. Trutrac is going in for sure. Just trying to decide on what gear.
Hey bud, love the channel and amazed by your amount of knowledge. I have a question, what type of gear oil did you use in your truetrac? I have one and it’s making some weird popping with turning only and I’ve read online that the type of lube may be incorrect. Could you let me know what lube you used in yours?
Love your show brother I've got a dilemma of my own I was thinking about doing that Eaton true trac but I've seen some videos of them tearing them down after about a year's worth of hard use playing around like you do how was yours holding up I want to get one but I don't want to replace the thing after a year that's just too much work and money.. I've already replaced my rear end with a 9.5 14 bull and I'm already having issues with that locker.. If you could let me know how yours is turning out if you're still doing good after all the abuse you've done to that rear end then I'll get that true track for the 9.5 Thanks Mike
@@LawrenceTolman Nice! Getting it today I think. Or buying it at least. Anything in particular when installing that i want to replace or things i can re-use?? Thanks for the reply
@@LawrenceTolman Really? Thats awesome, mabey 10 bolts are tough that people say they are. Im still gonna go with a 14 bolt and a 4L80E but damn its gonna be expensive. I bought my 07 classic wrecked and the old owner put posi in it but it has like 3.23s or 3.26s in it. The trans hits 2nd gear so hard im afraid its no good but the problem with buying a wreck from the sale is you don't get to talk to the previous owner to ask what all they did. But he loved it, he put airbags in the rear and all new suspension and had it tuned. But whoever tuned it put way too much timing in it. Nice videos man it gives me motivation to finish my Silverado.
I just broke something in my 04 Tahoe 5.3 2wd thot it was my diff but I checked an everything look good in the diff so I seen oil by the transmission an engine idk what i broke truck turns ON but when I put in drive going down street an it sounds bad like a blow transmission?
That's bad if it cant do a burnout LT I got a 350 tbi that makes 200 that can spin the wheels and do massive burnouts shes 305 hp now but all the valve seals were gone and i had a coolant leak
Cute, but hardly an adequate test of the TrueTrac. Getting both wheels to lock up when both are on clean, dry pavement doesn't mean much. How about a real test with one side, then both sides, on ice and or snow. How about driving through deep snow and mud. I need traction on the road, and some off the road, in real world conditions, not just for fun and seeing how many tires I can burn up.
