when ya rev the engine up that much the winch will spool up faster, easier to break things though. most guys only idle the motor with the winch active.
I have owned two cargo versions of the M35a2 and two 5 tons 939 series cargo trucks M923A2. Runs this stuff like construction equipment. These folks that are stabbing the throttle constantly to sound cool are idiots, frustrating to watch the childish behavior. I just used mine for parades and events and kept them looking really nice. Ugh
This is not how to do it the right way. NEVER rev the engine, keep it at a steady speed. NEVER handle cable without gloves on. Leave plenty of space to pull whatever vehicle you're winching out. ALWAYS put a heavy mat over the cable in case it snaps to keep it from flying up in to the cab. Use the low speed for winching, not high speed.
