This game really needs a remaster, I have no idea why they didn't did it yet. Even though you are really working hard on this, I must agree with the comment below. This games need better psychics, gun play has to be better and other mechacins. Even 2010 level graphics, with modern combat, psychics and such would make a good remake

I love it. There's something about the frame rate and slight motion blur that updates it so much. With new models it'll be awesome. I like the way you haven't gone over the top with redesigning the levels too. If fact if you wanted to go one better again. Make a prequel where you play as Paul. You could use much of the same areas and characters

As a person who's "seen" original Deus Ex but never actually played it, I would rather play this than a full remake. I think a remake would take away from the tone and the atmosphere. That huge foggy open space with the city in the background? That looks dope af - crisp, clean, dark and atmospheric. I doubt it's achievable in the same way with modern graphics.

"I'm_With_UNATCO" is the only one working on it, you can find a link to his channel in the description. You can get better info about his objectives for the project in the Discord server (it's also in the description).

Different people are making different ports. This one is by I'm_With_UNATCO. There's also a different one by DXU24, but his objective is to create a modern unreal layer for the old Unreal 1 games to work with, among which Deus Ex. You can see some of his work here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p2M0hrLoA5M.html There have also been many other attempts (Project Aquinas, Majestic Revelations...) but these are the two I'm sure are still going on. I think there's another layer project like DXU24 out there, but I don't recall what it's called.

you're better off re-making this with new assets rather than porting it to a new engine, no matter what you'll do it won't look good this way

after the game works properly mechanics and scripting wise, replacing assets is the easy part. understandable that it's not a priority in this early state.

Maybe it's time to improve THE PHYSICS at last??? I don't care about 'graaaphiiics'. I need interactivity, destructible everything, physics, better sfx without repetition, BETTER AI PLEASE (???), immersion.

it's the exact same philosphy as putting animation into a 60fps interpolator, spice up the media by putting it into something it wasn't intended for, and it makes everything look far worse i don't even have nostalgia for deus ex and still think it looks far better than anything made now
