This video shows alternate cutscene of the main quest "Hunting down the final clues." If you complete both Otar's favors for Koller's safety, he will replace Radich Nikoladze as the leader of the Dvali organization in Prague.
Since I am being asked lately so many times how to get this cutscene, I will provide some info I know for certain:
- You must complete both Otar's favors PROPERLY. That means you will KILL Gallois before returning to Prague from Golem City, since you won't have another shot. You can make the police kill him for you by provoking Gallois's guards if you are going for Pacifist achievement, not sure whether it will ruin Foxiest of the Hounds achievement or not.
- You must kidnap Dominick and deliver him where Masa wants.
- If you incap or kill either Radich or Otar to get his revolver, it will ruin this cutscene. And that makes sense, because as Adam said, Radich met occupational hazard, meaning they made it an accident.
- It will also affect ending cutscene, during news instead of Radich, Otar will be answering for his crimes.
And I am sorry for that mouse cursor.

I preferred Otar over Radich. In the other cutscene here, where you see Radich and Otar talking about Safe Harbor, Otar expresses his concern for the civilian casualties in London if Marchenko is successful in his mission. Radich tells him basically to shut up and fuck off. After witnessing that conversation, for me Otar became the lesser of the two, and the better man. Showing that he had a limit as to how far he would go. Based on that, I have no problem in doing what needs to be done to assist Otar in becoming top dog of the Dvali syndicate. After all, it pays to have a powerful mob boss in your pocket.

Otar Likes Jensen in a professional and business sense. The two will exchange favors for each other perhaps. But Otar is not in Jensen's "pocket"

@@Anonymous_Passerby Being able to reach out to Otar, and give requests / earning favours is the nature of having someone in your pocket. It could be said the same that Otar has Jensen in his pocket too. They compliment each other with their roles in life.

Freakin hell, I shouldn't have splinter celled my way through his old HQ. I should've just talked to him. Sneaking into that base was such a pain.

I went through it just fine but I gotta say. I don't remember whenever you could talk to him but maybe I missed something...I can kill otar right now but don't know how rad will react while he's not aware until I leave

right?! Idk why everyone refused to kill Lois Gallois, Radich was an asshole, and Otar was a way more likeable character than Radich

I completed the game from start to finish like 4-5 times. I thought if I let him go, he won't spy on Otar anymore. I found out in deus ex wiki that if you do the favors properly he will replace Radich as the leader of Dvali, that inspired me to do this vid.

I killed both otar and radich . I’ve got pissed off because i’m doing otar favor but the dvali’s still turned hostile . So i stabbed radich because he’s try to kill jensen with a gas and helping marchenko smuggle the orchid’s to england , then i throw a grenade towards otar when he playing poker . That the most satisfying ending of dvali’s arc

HOW?! I.. DId both of Otar's favors, and to make SURE of it, I went over to the Theatre and beat the crap out of Radich (non-lethal). Radich in my playthrough is DEAD, yet I did not get Adam auto-calling Otar during the elevator ride. What did I do wrong?!

For some reason you shall never touch Radich, even if you incap him it will ruin this cutscene. You must kill Gallois in any way (lethal) and then kidnap Dominick.

@@ThePreciseClimber I guess shamelessly flexing the "Gallois" surname along with an Eastern European accent takes a two-faced liar who's also extremely incompetent at that. I also spared Gallois during my playthrough, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking perhaps he did not double cross me, but rather got caught and interrogated while fleeing the Dvali's. Again, the guy just does not look the sharpest tool in the shed.

Yeah, nothing at all. I don't recommend killing both of them or knocking either one out. Makes things less interesting.

I didn't care for this situation, because it was so much more pleasant to have to stealth or fight your way into the theater basement office.

I never went for this alternative because the Dvali just had to all die. During martial law time I make sure that all the members in the theater, apartments, Red Queen, casino, and neon lab have kicked the oxygen habit. Even Otar has to go although him pulling a gun on me first makes it easy.

yeah, I killed all the dvali members standing on my way, both Radich’s and Otar’s men. If I were Jensen, killing them all could also send a message to Koller, to abandon all plausible business with thugs that look down on augs, instead he should also join Samizdat to start what he thought would be a stand-up action or even a revolution, like he himself tells Jensens about Rucker’s pacifist approach (and even his existence) not being the solution for the augs. shit, even the boss at Tech Noir knows better than Koller…

So I triggered the robots in the theatre to attack friendlies and during this clusterfuck sneaked down to the mobsters office, got accidentally spotted and whacked everyone in the room. Meh.

you need to kill galois in talos rucker extraction mission and on 2nd visit to prague finish the all in the family sidequest

Yes, but you'll lose the only chance to become friends with Otar and he is quite valuable ally. So unless you're speedrunning or going for Time Traveller achievement, it's not worth doing

Are we actually supposed to kill Gallois (not spare him and trick Otar) in order for Otar to take over?

You must kill Gallois. It can be done in many ways, you can even make the police kill him for you, if you are going for Pacifist achievement. Either way, he must be dead before you return to Prague. If you just knock him down, put him into sleep or spare him by letting him go, it won't work.

750TheBoss Now what if you spare Gallois first, so that you can get the info on Radich being augmented from him. And THEN kill him. Will Otar still end up in control?

@@eddycharles4274 Just make sure he is dead before returning to Prague, if making Gallois tell you that Radich is augumented will let him go away, He will still spy on Otar, thus he won't be able to take control. Otherwise do what you want to do.

@@eddycharles4274 fun note you don't have to kill the Guy yourself. You could bait him into the police after making him hostile.
