Once again, you have done a very good job on the application aspect of this summary. I agree. God wants us to persist in doing good (Romans 2:7), along with using the Bible and using our spiritual gifts to "equip his people for works of service" (Ephesians 4:12) -- more than just church attendance. In regards to Deuteronomy chapter 23 verses 21-23, "If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the LORD your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin. But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty. Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the LORD your God with your own mouth." Even though making vows are in the Law of Moses, no Israelite ever had to make a vow. As the prophet Isaiah said, "you who take oaths in the name of the LORD and invoke the God of Israel -- but not in truth or righteousness" (Isaiah 48:1), that Israel's evil inclinations (Genesis 8:21) ruined the potential goodness of any vows not established by God. As a result, in the New Covenant, "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.' But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all.." (Matthew 5:33-34) Jesus, as mediator of the New Covenant, by God the Father's will does not want anymore vows to be made that are not established in the Bible, such as the marriage vow (Malachi 2:14), which still applies to the Law of Moses since no Israelite ever had to make a voluntary vow anyway, and some vows were devilish in their intentions like from the book of Judges (Judges 11:30-35). In establishing the New Covenant which leads to eternal life, Jesus also establishes that, "All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." -- (Matthew 5::37). In the New Covenant, the devil now can get involved if people want to go too far with making vows in improper ways which is the reason Jesus says that "I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me." -- (John 14:30-31). People's evil inclinations can ruin vow-making not established by the Bible's directives, and Satan can now be directly involved when people want to make vows that God does not want them to make.

Deuteronomy 23:2 2 “One of illegitimate birth shall not enter the assembly of the Lord; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the Lord. YOU SKIPPED OVER THIS REALLY FAST. WHAT IS THE ASSEMBLY OF THE LORD?

It's ironic how boys were made into castrati to keep their voices young to sing in church when this chapter specifically says somebody with wounded stones (code for testicles) can't even go to church.

@@urstruly00 I know, but what I was getting at was why would people be purposely altered to participate in a place where that specific alteration is prohibited.
