A few weeks ago I went to look at an old 1967 k20 chevy truck. The farmer had shoehorned an F6L812 into it from an old New holland combine. Couldn't believe it!
@@teamidris I have yet to see one eat a turbo up, mine are poorly maintained at best due to a cheap employer. Really the only time they are maintained is when they get sunk under water. Both my six cylinder models (N.A. and the turbo/intercooled) have been 100% submerged for long periods of time and still manage to run just fine after we get all the water out of them (not fun).
@@tylerquilling1493 it was more the stress on the oil from the turbo. 250 hours instead of 500. They left the tractor for 1000 hours. I rebuilt the engine, but the carbon was so bad it blocked number five main and ate the crank again :o I said after that I was only doing a full strip rebuild with a gallery hot wash on any engine.
Yes you can, as well as put an intercooler. I have one that is both and the intercooler says it is good for 25 bar. Not sure on the conversation to psi. It is a monster though.
Cool video. Where did you find all these cool motors? I am looking for a fan like that to make a home-made vw setup. The Porsche 911 fans are crazy $$ and I wonder if the Deutz fans are the same ?
