Dev Anand has been awarded two Filmfare Awards for best actor for the films Kaala Pani and Guide. He has received nominations for four films namely Munimji, Love Marriage, Kaala Bazar, and Hum Dono.
Dev Anand has also been awarded Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in the year 1993. His first film was Ziddi released in the year 1948 opposite Kamini Kaushal which was a hit.
Dev Anand's directorial debut movie was Prem Pujari which was a flop but his second movie Hare Rama Hare Krishna was a major hit and after that Des Pades was also a hit film that was released in the year 1978.
