I think im gonna miss the randomized names of regular hunters, but it should make calling them out during firefights easier in game, im just a little worried as to what regular hunters may be locked behind prestige or bloodbond purchase
Same. I liked how previous random hunters felt like unique characters just because they all had their own names. It made the world feel a little bigger, even if there was still only a handful of models. Some of the Legendary Hunters have a fairly steep cost in Blood Bonds, especially for people who don't want to, or can't, keep spending real-world money, and unless the BB cost is lowered significantly, I feel like a lot of players may be forced to only use a couple of hunters since they won't be able to afford to unlock new models.
@@williamgrace6966they're literally making it so the old unique looking mor3 expensive normal hunters cost blood bonds now and you have to unlock tjem like legendary hunters and will limit players who dont pay to only white shirt tier 1 free hunters. Its all about money. This is disgusting.
@tacticguy536 I get that they want to rebuild the UI and all, but this change to the hunters certainly feels like a kind of greedy move. I love this game, I'm ok with throwing a couple bucks at it once or twice a year for some random new cosmetic or whatever, but don't suddenly take away old content and force us to pay for it if we want it back. That really sucks.
Get ready to see that one hunter in the green moss covered jacket with a green hood and green facecover wearing muddy green pants with a mossy green cape and 2 gold buttons that are barely visible and faded Legit got him as a free hunter once and if I turned in a bush even with the team outline I couldn't actually be seen sticking almost entirely out of it, it was a effective ghillie suit, it was cool but I am so not excited for the op hunters like that being buyable or earnable cause camping is already a severe problem in us and europe servers in 4-6 star lobbies almost every game for me Had run into a full trio bushcamping with the most meta youtube "sweat build" you could get in a random corner of the map away from bounty waiting for someone to cross for over 30 mins to extract, one of the last times I played
Why remove the crisp overview of all 4 recruitable hunters with their equipment easily visible on one page? I think this adds to confusion about which hunter to choose from all the given ones
@@4ndr3w1431 even on console it would be better to just see all four... it's not like consoles are so small as mobiles that you can only show SINGLE loadout,...
I'm not really a fan of rarity tiers (And yes I know charms already have that, but hardly anyone cares about them, sadly) Hunt is a very special shooter, and i dont only mean that in the sense that it is my favorite game, but more in the sense that it is very far away from being a "generic shooter" Rarity tiers for skins just brings it closer to being more generic which is sad to see, hunt is great because it is so unique. Additionally it kinda bugs me the wrong way thinking about the lore, the legendary hunters were called that in lore for their actions and feats, the word legendary meant that they were legends and now it is being gone back on because now it is a rarity thing not for the lore but for the game
Please don't add rarity's to the legendary hunters/skins. That makes people more gravitate towards the "rare" items rather than what they prefer. especially since these Skins are not tied to and random chances. Rarity simply does not fit Hunt in my eyes :)
From an already defined definition from other games, it doesn't fit in hunt at all. Games with rarity ratings, often have special effects on those items, an actual rare aspect to them, and increased stats. Save for bad hand and the new dark tribute hunter, hunt has none of those. The different skins do the same thing as normal skin.
If someone chooses the skin solely based on rarity, that's on them. No one's forcing anyone. To me this is way better, feels like they're somewhat more meaningful
@@ZammyBirdProductionsNot really. Fortnite has certain rarity to skins too, and other games like it do too. It's just a bonus things to encourage people to value the unique design skins more, to me it's fun it adds a small element of being proud of your high rarity skin or using lower rarity (or free) ones to change things up
Why not? As far as i understood, only normal hunters (tier 2/3) will get rarity. Not the legendary ones. Which makes sense. A hunter u get fron prestige 50 reward should have a higher rarity than a prestige 1 skin
Funny how we only ever lose ways to earn blood bonds. With the removal of trials, the black market and the weapons book. Were losing one of the last ways to earn bbs in game.
@@tacticguy536 I agree they are milking the game but i got the feeling crytek isnt doing so hot in terms of money. remember they are in germany which has a horrible economy and is super expensive to run a company in
it is definitely a better UI overall, but please reconsider the main UI with the sideways scrolling. It was absolutely terrible in CoD and while this doesn't seem as cluttered (less game modes etc), it still sucks for PC navigation.
10,000% agree. Please let me vertical scroll through a LIST of my available hunters in the roster and NOT side scroll through cards. Ugh, I'm genuinely worried about the UI at this point. Feels way too much like strictly console focused UI.
the thing that annoyed me the most is when it shows the hunters and loadouts that you have to click on the hunter to see what they carry instead of having all lists displayed
Yeh i came to hunt from cod and the UI in that game is the worst to navigate ... Can't believe they've copied it when all I've heard is complaints about it. Would rather stick to the original hunt UI myself
They are removing all the unique looking tier 2+ hunters to lock them behind bloodbonds for more money. Unless you pay bloodbonds you dont get to yse anything but white shirt tier 1's now. Greedy and disgusting move to make the game worse.
Im honestly not sure about how to feel regarding the removal of the library, i mean im a big lore guy and i know a lot of people aren't but all of the stories there are great in my opinion, (especially the ones focusing on the twins, Linch, Russel Chambers, and Daniel Glanton) and should not be outright removed. Edit: also just remembered that two of the game's achievements *require* you to get entries from the library, so do with that knowledge what you wish.
yeah so far most of the stuff they said in these videos were great news but this one is a bit on the edge. The UI looks way too much like dedicated TV or Console menu, completely ignoring pc players and removal of trials and library is just kinda weird imo. If they already made it, they could just keep it in the game, it doesn't hurt anybody.
I'm not even really a lore guy and i loved reading those entries. I've legitimately booted the game up when i was bored just to read some of it. I really hate to see them go.
It sounds like a temporary absence from his words. They probably want to update the library and hopefully be able to access all previous event lore as well.
if you're going to add literal walla of character icons to sift through, can I please also get a "random" button that selects a random hunter but doesn't recruit them? that way I can either choose to recruit fully at random or even just sift around a bit first
Initial feedback remove the rarity tags such as the ones seen at 3:52, for the black market it was also used to get discounted gear (if already owned) would like to see that as an option for the discount tab. A lot of great improvements.
So you are explaining to the PC players who have backed your game that from now on you are betting on the console by not making a menu based solely on the ergonomics of the console and the controller, and who through experience in other games are counterintuitive on PC Well, i think its like that now
Dang, I really liked the black market. I just wanted to be able to insert with it more than once every 2 months.... usually in the first day I'd have bought everything in it anyway
please make sure that if the UI is now allowed to stretch out over wide screen monitors that we still have the option to lock it to a centered 16:9 area like the game currently does already at 32:9 most games are unplayable due to the UI being spread all over and to the extreme edges of the screen (they are really far apart)
BRUH why cant we just preconfigure the healthbars. Why do I have to do busy work every time. Aside from that some decent changes. Hope the UI isnt too consolized though
@@TheIronpusherhe specifically said that you will not be able to preconfigure them in this update, but they are looking into that. Looks like they just made it quicker and easier by not hiding it behind a separate tab.
This new UI is an usability and a PR disaster. Everything takes 2-3 times more clicks, visual hierarchy is an absolute mess. Did you consider actually testing it on PC? With real peopel? Maybe release this early? Enjoy your "community sentiment" (0:15) now. What a shame, this launch should have been Hunt's big moment.
Another thing im seeing on a rewatch is that you can no longer see what equipment all of your available recruitable hunters have and have to instead click on each one individually. This is a massive downgrade imo.
Please don't permanently remove the Book of Weapons and Liber De Monstrorvm. These two are such cool additions to the game with their lore and flavor text. It'd be a crime to remove all that for sake of a cleaner UI.
It seems like this new UI system is making the game more of a clicking through menus simulator than it needs to be. Tarkov already suffers from this and it doesent even have a console edition. I think the new UI looks great for consoles, but maybe stick to the original layout or try something different with the PC edition of the game, since that is where 80% of your playerbase is.
if not too much to add, make a tab for the new updates of each patch, this way its easier to access and read whats new while we're in game, perhaps while trying to find a new match etc.
I think the traits menu should show the traits bigger, and with their names next to the icons. Not always easy to tell by their icons, even though a lot of the similar looking ones got changed or merged together.
Next on Crytek: We added 90degree aim assist, so console players can have some"chance"! We removed mouse from the game, now you can easily aim with numpad "making game fair for every player"! We also removed jump button, so you will freely move over every obstacle! And last but not least: We added Sonic, Messi and Shrek as new DLC for only "99,95$" More at 6...
thank you for the transparency and the video! I can't judge the UI until i get my hands on it, but I believe in you guys to make it good, this update is looking nice so far! Although as a long time player, I'd be really sad to see the masteries and lore books go, there is many many stories and good writing in there, so Please consider making it stay in some fashion, even if its in the settings out of the way of the menu! Either way keep up the great work and transparency!!!
For me - to breathe new life into hunt would require something more than cosmetic and event changes - I think it needs something special. I was wondering about a parallel game within hunt, that is optional, that would earn you currency of some sort to progress with your cosmetic goals or skins etc. It could be something like a simple gunfight mode (called 'showdown'), but you have to earn the entry, maybe 2 bounty tokens = an entry ticket. Then it could be a winner stays on kind of system - if you survive the rounds to the end, you get blood bonds, or hunt dollars, or maybe the random chance to win a skin. The enemies could be ai hunters with guns, each round they get harder maybe. If the enemies were real players, I think it would detract from the main game too much - this extra side mode would give meaning to the main game - it'd give you a reason to get the bounty (as the bounty would actually lead to money/skins). I'd also like it if they maybe put a super rare skin in a treasure chest somewhere very random on the map, and perhaps even a treasure map could be found in some building. Not in every game of course - just once in a while (like red traits). This too would add an extra level of interest and potential excitement (in that you might find a 20 dollar skin for free). This is the kind of carrot I think would attract players, not the rarity skin idea.
Console player here. Thank you for these changes! It's nice to finally feel recognized by the dev team. I hope game play UI also has been given love on the console. The weapon wheel has been my cause of death equal to any weapon. Implementing a way to change weapons and tools through DPad options should limit that. Back to the load out ui. I hope there is the opposite of a favorites button. The ability to hide obsolete tools when we're lv 100 would be nice. I don't want to see my small healing shots or a certain melee weapon when I feel like it's at a disadvantage to the others.
I actually love trials, reminded me of Resident Evil bonus mode where you need to keep killing zombies and extend your timer. I'd love something like that in Hunt Keep trials and keep library stuff too, please
Overall first impression: quite good. Favoriting stuff is great, so is the respecing. The whole recruiting/equipment system will need a hands-on test to know whether its good or not. I will miss the inspiration some of the tier 2 or 3 recruits gave me to play certain loadouts 😄 the wiki feature could go more in depth. I hate when games hide things they dont have to. Just show us the actual damage to every body part or at least show the conversion rates, including damage drop off over range and through objects. Duration times for poison, DoTs for the different stages of fire and bleed. I dont see how it could do harm that players have easy access to that knowledge. Should prevent a lot of frustration. And it would have been cool for all of us that did the trials and tried to allways keep the book of arms completed to get a little goodbye something. The only progress outside the prestige system is gone know. 🤔
Catering to console players just to ruin the overall appearance of the menu is a weird choice. Moving hunter skins that we've enjoyed since launch behind a new paywall is downright diabolical. The healthbar ui change is much needed. To put it plainly, as a PC player I don't care if it makes the UI easier to navigate for console players. Have separate UIs if they cant use the PC one efficiently. Removing the original feel of the menus for this new-aged, call of duty looking, bs is not worth it
I will sorely miss the library gun and monster books. Since launch I have only prestiged ONCE, and for this second life, I have been maxing out all guns and monster kills in order to unlock and read the lore. I will be unable to complete them in time, unfortunately, but I'll do my best.
Props to the team for the continual progress and reflection. Yall are doing something a lot of devs are afraid to do. Remove stuff! I liked the trials, but i didn't want to do all of them, so i felt like i was missing out on rewards. I dont like the "rarity" idea for the hunters though. Some of the legendary hunters are iconic and i think that they should be shown their due diligence. I only play one legendary hunter every game as an example and i feel a lot of other players share this sentiment.
PLEASE allow us to drag and move equipped weapons, tools and consumables on the loadout menu into the slots we want without having to unequip both slots and then re-equip them again. Mostly applies to recruiting hunters with presets already equipped and not being allowed to drag and move them around.
If you're on PC you can still change your the placement or your weapons/tools/consumables by just equipping and then press the button you want it under. Example: medkit is on 4 but you want in under 3. Hold it in your hand and press and hold 3 and it changes.
Im afraid that every game nowadays moves UI to some Smart TV looking like. Would be great if UI for PC will be different from 4 boxes that occupy whole screen
yeah everyone goes towards what's more efficient and eye catching. Even at the cost of uniqueness and character. But it's not like old ui is so unique and original that loosing it would be a tragedy. I like old ui and I'll probably like the new one when I get used to it. As long as they keep in line with the general art style and dont remove the music from main menu :)
No doubt. With bigger screens + higher resolutions + fewer UI elements, it's hard to feel like there's not a ton of wasted space (although the perks rework seems to be a step in the opposite direction). I get that the old UI is clunky but I don't think "clunky" is the worst thing.
Im all down to making the game more accesible for console players, but at the same time im nervous, as most of the games ive seen doing that type of changes tend to make UIs bigger and clunkier for pc players (Making buttons bigger making having to scroll to see all the info/options, making menus using both horizontal and vertical tabs making kayboard navigation a need, hiding some info/option behind menus) all of which i saw in some form in this video. Id love to either see a balance between the two, or having the option to use either of them.
I don't understand how you don't realize the UI is already huge and clunky because it was entirely built for console players. So someone being scared they might make the UI huge and clunky for console players is weird to see. Consoles currently have to control a cursor with their controller, so to make things easer to select, they had to make the UI elements large. It's why only 6 traits can be seen at a time when selecting them, or why only 4 legendary hunters can be seen at a time when selecting those. Don't conflate the the huge UI elements of the main menu seen in the video, where there is fewer things to select so there is no reason to not use all that space, with the smaller UI elements of selecting traits, hunters, and other such things also seen in the video. Like, there's more than 6 traits and 4 hunters on the screen at a time when selecting each of those in the video. That's a massive improvement over the current state of the UI. Being able to use the d-pad or direction keys is going to be a huge boon to making selectable UI elements smaller and more compact, and far easier to select, for both PC and console players. Afterall, PC players are very likely going to still be able to select everything with the mouse, so they only need to click on things like usual if they want. But PC players in particular might find out some combination of keys is going to be way faster than navigating everything with the mouse. It might end up being like buying things at the start of a Counter-Strike match: sure, there's that UI you can use, but that can take several seconds to buy things, especially if you want more than one thing, but keyboard shortcuts are way faster and way more consistent and can be done in well under a second even if buying absolutely everything.
okay i played some more, its official, whoever checked and passed this ui, whoever said this ux is okay, needs to be fired immediately, not just from the company, but from all future tries of getting into a similar position
I'll have to wait and see how the new UI feels, but first impressions I have are.... mixed. It 'looks' better, but horizontal scrollable menus and submenus on PC is a hard pill to swallow. Positive things I can say regarding the info in this video: - the game did need a more modern UI - visually it does 'look' better (aesthetically I mean, previewed images for sub-menus, icons, contrast, background image animations when switching sub-menus, etc) - getting rid of redundant pages is good - getting rid of unnecessary confirmation messages (like those for respecing health bars) is welcomed What I don't like: - UX/usability: I have my doubts whether usability will be better for the majority of PC players because horizontal scrollable menus and submenus are worse UX-wise, while it's good for console players, doing 'up/down' instead of 'left/right' would have been the same for console users but is x10 times better for PC users. - Recruitment layout: while I like the fact that legendary hunters can now be browsed through a grid instead of scrolling left/right 4 hunters at a time, I also think you are unnecessarily sacrificing full-body 3D previews of the characters. Instead you could have used the layout we currently have in game (at the time of writing this) for buying legendary hunters with blood bonds, which basically divides the screen into 3 vertical sections: grid to select a character, full-body preview, text and buttons section. The majority of users (PC and consoles) use wide or ultra-wide monitors, so 16_9, 16_10 and 21_9 aspect ratios would allow you to go with the 3 vertical section layout which isn't bad even if it does require a bit more vertical scrolling in each section, but there's more than enough room to make a vertical grid section have plenty of rows and columns for the characters to minimize vertical scrolling as well if needed. - Lack of consistency: if you got rid of horizontal scrolling for legendary hunters, presumably because it was annoying... why do I see you have it for recruited hunters in the roster? there are already 75 possible hunter slots in the roster, and now we'll need to scroll through them horizontally 4 at a time? Feels odd and lacking in consistency. - Trials: while I understand people got frustrated with Trials, the solution shouldn't be removing them from the game, it's a net loss in content that your product offers to the player. It would have been better to have them be unlocked little by little through the prestige system for example, depending on the level at which they start unlocking it would also mean that by then the player is already invested enough to not quit the game just because of them, and this way we wouldn't lose content. (for the record: I have already completed them and I've actually enjoyed doing them, it was one of the first things I completed in the game, so my observation doesn't have to do with me not completing them in time as I've finished them more than a year ago). - Black Market: black market getting removed feels like a monetization move rather than a UI issue. It allows people to get access to several discounted items at the same time, which in a way encourages people to invest into their collection more. Removing the black market, along with having removed the free blood bonds given after each match last year, feels like there's a little bit too much focus on just monetizing the game. It's ok to give out 1-3 blood bonds after each match, keeps people actually PLAYING the game to eventually get a few premium coins here and there, which they'll still invest into the game anyway, or they could accumulate them hoping to get a better deal in the black market. Now both those options are gone for everyone.
Looks like they're also adding rarities to gun skins at 3:48. Really weird imo since it just doesn't fit the game at all. If anything this is a huge red flag for the possibility of loot crates in the future.
Do yall just have a constant negative lookout on everything in life like jesus chirst? If they do stupid lootboxes you have the power as a player to NOT BUY THEM ugh...you guys are stupid
The lootboxes are a possibilty, but the in-game store already has gun skins and hunters with varied bloodbond costs even from 200 blood bonds to like 1000 so
Please keep the library. I really wish the hunt team was more confident with the lore because for me it's one of the main interest points of the game. Hunt's lore and setting makes it unique.
4:12 Horrible! I have to cycle through every hunters to see their loadouts instead of being able to see all of them at once?! Perks display is nice at least...
This UI looks super confusing and convoluted. Visually busy, requires a lot more clicks for the same, or even less information. This ain't it, chief. Looks like a mobile game now.
The new UI is made entirely for consoles. Is there any plan for a UI made specifically for PC? Or are different build versions of Hunt to hard to maintain? There's no crossplay so I don't imagine that should be an issue anyway.
If they create different UI for pc and console that would be increased workload to update it for each platform whenever something new is added and making sure both still work as intended. So I assume it's just easier to make one unified layout.
@@seangrant8871 Its absolutely not a hard job to design and implement the changes specifically for both platforms but they're taking the easy (long term hard) way out, just like 99% of all dev companies today.
Yeah that is what i was thinking too. The screen for traits and hunter recruitment by itself is good but the rest just feels like it's made for well TVs lol. Giant icons, tons of wasted space a lot of scrolling. Doesn't feel right for PC
yes, the interface for PC and consoles should definitely be different. I don't want to see huge weapon icons, I'm even ready for a list in the form of an excel table, just give me the ability to see as many options as possible at once, with fewer unnecessary clicks and scrolling.👀
Your new UI is horrible for the player who are playing Hunt Shodown with mouse/keyboard ! Please give us a option to get the old one ! WORST UI EVER I EVER SEEN as a pc player !
Agreed. It's such a weird concept for Hunt. In other games it makes sense, as the different rarity would tie to stats. In hunt every skin for guns are the same, just look unique. And charms do nothing but look different. So having them get rarity, serves as a way to price them only. Had a friend in my discord ask if my legendary compass charm gave better loot or damage while watching me play recently. Told him it does nothing. He got confused and asked why it had a rarity then. Literally no reason but Fomo.
Isn't the main player base one PC? Why is the main focus making the UI better on console? Shouldn't the main priority be the larger PC player base? I feel like this is a lateral step and not a step forward.
i wish they hadn't gone as far as they did in that direction to be honest... UI for hunt on console is one of the worst UIs out there, so it needed fixing, but i think this is a step too far :S
seems like they are giving up on pc, they probably think they will find a bigger market on console for some reason. they have talked about crossplat and aim assist already, clearly pc is not a concern stupid decision imo but we'll see how it pans out
"Simplified hunter recruitment" And thats why you have to click on free hunter to see their equipment, health bars and trait... This is just much worse than current version where you have everything in front of you without ANY clicking. You dont have to refresh UI in places where it is functional just to make it new.
That's such an absurd nitpick. It's simplified because it's easier to navigate and get used to (for new players and console players) having all recruitment done in a single page
I too didnt even notice that the Free Hunter Recruitment Page was that good, because if you have a good User Interface Design, the user doesnt even realize he is using one and just glides across the page.
"shooter game for PC" with stagnant playerbase. Let's make content for a dwindling core audience until our main product dies 👍 Or let's try to push for expanded markets in the "next" gen consoles to keep our main product alive for as long as possible. You know absolutely nothing about game development whatsoever.
I'm pc too but on paper this new one looks more clean. I'm sure after they iron out the kinks before release and we get a couple minutes of getting used to it'll feel great
@Lemon_Water9 when barely 20% of the player base is on console, its a complete ripoff of cod UI and is just soulless. They're just trying to market and monitize the game as much as they can now. Even slipped in removing the unique looking more expensive tier 2+ hunters to lock them behind bloodbonds. Every new player unless they buy currency will be white shirts and tier 1 hunters. This is disgusting.
@@tacticguy536 "how dare they, trying to earn a living out of a 6 year old game they're constantly updating... Trying to make console players navigate menus more easily... Terrible! this menu vaguely resembles the skeleton of basic UI design! that means it's a cod ripoff!" literally how you sound edit: your last point is factually incorrect. You will still be able to buy high tier hunters with hunt dollars. And new players were never able to have anything besides white t-shirts, since it takes quite some time until the store starts showing high quality hunters.
New UI completely fails in both aspects: showing off beautiful style, art, mood of Hunt, and being convenient to operate. Current UI at least is good at first, new one is bad at both.
The sideways-scrolling menus look really annoying to me. At least there’s the grid view option, but it feels like they’re just designing based on what other games do, not what would work for this game specifically.
I can't fully judge the new ui until I experienced it myself, but judging by other apps that are tile based this will most likely be less efficient and convenient for mouse users which I dislike as a pc player 👀 I know this is way more work, but I kinda whish you guys would develop an unique UI for pc and an unique UI for console to optimise the convenience for both inputs to the max without lagging behind the other.
They probably wouldn't even need a completely unique UI for each. Just scale things down on PC, for example so we don't have do scroll through the big panels in the main menu but have them all on one screen. The perk selection page seems fine to me for both console and PC, just because it has smaller icons and fits a lot on one screen.
Most probably cause it gives people bloodbonds and when its the last thing you need to do to progress (as when there isn't an event going on it's the only progression apart from prestiging) and people can get pretty fixated on unlocking the whole book and then it can be frustrating, making yourself play with specific weapons you might not prefer and all, driving people away. He also mentioned that trials drive people away because they are frustrating (And people play them cause they want the skins and money).
The only thing I'm not wild about here is the removal of the Library, with no immediate replacement. That is essentially the Game Manual, and series Lore Book, all wrapped into one. Most of the details and worldbuilding - celebrated by the community, and a huge selling point for the game - are found in the Library and Codex. That goes beyond 'streamlining' and lapses more into 'dumbing down' territory.
Strongly agree with you, I don't want the lore removed. I would have been way less upset if they specifically said that "lore" would be returning, not just that there was a new method of "progression" that they are working on.
More like for a console game meant to run on large TVs. Which uh i mean is exactly what their focuse seems to have been. However PC players exist too and i mean it's the majority or players so i kinda hope it won't look like this on PC but idk.
Sorry your an outlier. I love the game and probally played trials for like 1 hour. I load into this game to fill an extraction shooter niche. Not mirrors edge dying light simulator.
@@Dime_time333 not a outlier I as well as others feel the same. Trials are fun mini games for new players and something for vets, the library entries are where hunts lore can be found... they aren't core parts but they are a quality of life. Maybe if you want a pvp shooter you should play cod or fornite
Yeah it's kinda weird, like i completely get that they don't want to add desalle trials or like fix the trials that got broken after dualies nerfs and all that. But when they made that gamemode once, why not keep it, it doesn't hurt anybody and it was kind of fun. I prefered to play that when my friends were offline instead of playing solo. And having exclusive skins from it was kinda badass, it's cool where there are skins you can earn only. Hope they introduce some cool new challenges and prestige system as he said.
@@Mike-xp8zc Yeah I'm annoyed the trials skins are getting easy to obtain now. All of us who got them just got slapped in the face for putting in the time. Its like they are taking business notes from Blizzard on how to make players quit.
abysmal is putting it kindly, its frankly offensive. Things are double binded or just dont even do what they are intended to do. First thing you get is them shoving the battlepass when you open the game. Absoltely one of the worst UI"s ive ever had to use, its like someone who has never played on PC made it.
Most of this is amazing, but i’m sad the library is going! maybe you could keep it in a small menu button or something. also i’m going to miss the random hunter names, unless that is staying in some form.
This all looks really great, but I am going to miss the monstrom and weapon books. There's so many cool stories hidden in there, and I really hope they stick around in some way as they add such a cool part of the world of Hunt:Showdown. I really hope we see the return of it in a way that's more accessible, because the loss of them would hurt what I feel is a core part of the world of Hunt. Still excited for what's coming though!
Me too, those little stories add a lot more depth to the atmosphere for those who seek it out, they rekindle that feeling of mystery and fear that get lost as you get used to gameplay
@@jungamcgrunga4583 The thing is, there probably aren't enough players engaging with that portion of the game to keep it in its current state. Any players who have already read them will never look at them again, and any new players will be confused by an extra menu. I'm sure they'll find a way to make it accessible without making it a core part of the UI that doesn't offer any real gameplay functionality.
Yep, i`m not a lore fan, but i must admit that the understanding of depth of the game creating and design were just impressive.. but now it looks like the game will become an average simple non-storied money-maker.. sadly.
I like the new trait and recruitment grids. However as a PC player, the hunter roster carousel is a huge backwards step. Maybe using some kind of grid there would help. I prefer an overview of my hunter slots, not scrolling pages around.
I hope that the lore entries are kept and accessible in the game. There is some really great writing in those and I hate to think of them being shuffled off to the wiki
sad that the Trials are being removed. The Trials were a nice way to a) explore the maps in peace without any monsters or players and b) learn the map layout in an engaging way but without too much pressure through the parcour challenges for example. I had lots of fun with those and always hoped for Trials to come to DeSalle as well. If Trials are truly gone, then i would suggest to extend the shooting range to the entirety of the map(s) and make all maps available for the shooting range. Edit: Thanks for all the likes and the support! Save Trials! :)
Go play fallout or dayz if you wanna explore. The best way to get new guns is to win and buy them with hunt dollars not finding them I'm some random saddlebag. The best way to unlock new variants of weapons is getting kills and leveling them up. Not finding some random blueprint.
Call of Duty has been doing this kind of despicable menu for 3 years, they understood after 3 years they are stopping, this UI is probably not very ergonomic, and even more so on PC, I already feel the ordeal that it will be, I hope the rest will be better, it's a no for me at this level
