@Temporaryname-ej5it They better! It would be criminal not to, especially since they removed the Nelson from sale for free XP. If I had to guess, they'd make the Rodney a Tier VIII Battleship given her torpedo tubes along with some other selling point to make her different than the Nelson. such as Hydro, Spotter/Fight (since Nelson and Rodney actually had a seaplane catapult.) or (I really hope not) Defense AA.

@teacoffee5847 You might be thinking of the Duke of York, the Prince of Wales is not currently in the game/announced to he coming.

@ravengaming3920 I hope they give her something to make her stand out from the Duke of York or the King George V, if I had to guess I would give her either smoke or radar because historically A: she laid a smokescreen to cover her retreat from the battle of the Denmark Strait and B: She tracked the Bismarck via her radar during the hunt for the Bismarck. I also wouldn't mind if they actually gave the Prince of Wales historically actual stronger armor compared to how easy it is to citadel the Duke of York and King George V since historically the KGV class had armor only 2nd to the Yamato in terms of thickness. All in all, if they were to give the Prince of Wales Smoke, Radar, more HP (around the 65-68,000K range) and a proper British enhanced repair party I wouldn't mind seeing the Prince of Wales at Tier VIII, I know that 14 inch guns for Tier VIII is pitifully small for a battleship however I think she would work.

Yeah, I'd even say the majority of the playerbase would welcome it. The way WG handles it creates an unnecessary pressure.

it's less accurate than Slava, Slava accuracy is not only higher than BC dispersion but also has very small vertical dispersion (also Slava has far better pen and shell ballistics)

3-4 months. At first WG will milk the comunity with absolute ridiculous price for this ship and then, when sales will be decreasiing, then they will silently nerf it.

I don't play WOWS but I don't skip flamu uploads and seeing the Whisky coming in is rather interesting. To see all four Iowas would be nice despite how screwed the game is.

I live in Norfolk. Wisconsin is just about 7km from me 😍 I really wish it wasn't tier 10 though.

I'm annoyed that they're adding Whisky BEFORE Jersey despite Jersey easily being the most experienced sister and the only ship that could rival Enterprise in terms of service.

well super heavy shells already have high penetration and behavior at range. problem comes that most new ships have non existent air drag or cracked ballistics...

@@arczer2519 Ya thats WG though. WG doesn't really do penetration using real world values. The calculate everything based off speed and diameter.

@@beware3586 well most older guns, are mostly accurate pen wise (bar some guns that did not have AP at all, like IJN/German DD's), then then just started to made up things on the fly

@@arczer2519 Perhaps but they drastically underestimate the 16" Super Heavy AP shells from the Iowa Class. When the shells plunging fire they had more penetration that the Yamato 18" shells because of their crazy sectional density.

@beware3586 you can genuinely deck citadel ships in game with 16" super heavy, through it's most likely on NC due to lower velocity and high range. (Once even did that to Yamato at like ~25km) Through good luck hitting people at these ranges and even more hitting the citadel deck and passing auto bounce check (irl hit probably at these ranges was also in single digits) It's more doable on 8" superheavy of the cruiser line as improved pen angles allow to bypass autobounce sooner (~17.5km)

Exact same gun traverse, and no indication of firing angles being worse. No idea where you got that from. The ship has smoke and much stronger torps too. Did you pay attention at all ?

Huh ? It is literally the same gun performance from Tone but you get far better torpedo bombers, ship torpedos and consumables not to mention tier 9 upgrade to help out with either faster reload or longer firing range.

"SLOW traverse speed and limited firing angles", not "worse". The traverse speed is listed in the dev blog and is exactly the same as Tone. You can look it up. They were describing the guns, not comparing them to Tone. Tone already has limited angles, and there's absolutely no reason to believe they'd make them worse.

and much better torpedoes, but tone has 4 planes with 2 torpedoes which creates a wall of torpedoes that do nothing amd tone torpedo angles are horrible and no smoke

Well, they certainly copied AL's naming scheme if nothing else. Otherwise, I'd say it's more WG copying their own work than AL.

I know. It's a totally different ship. Can't talk about a retrofit if the ship is completely different.

@@thegreenfather1978 Agreed, no idea why people are up in arms when the original Chikuma had been decomissioned and used for target practise in '35 and is entirely unrelated to Tone's sister-ship. It has no connection to Azur Lane whatsoever. Navies constantly re-use names.. get used to it.
