Nice recap for me, I took a movement fundamentals class during my MFA and have taught modern dance incorporating the principals, but it’s still helpful to see a short sequence clearly explained. It’s so rich with information that sometimes I am challenged to share these valuable concepts in a concise way.
That was incredible! Surely the cornerstone to regaining the mobility in my lower back which has been compromised for too long... Thanks so much for the clip, Alicia! P.S. Are you able to fly out to Blue Mountains Aus for personal session this week 💗😝?
Thanks so much for your sharing and willingness to deepen here, our lower back holds so much! Much gratitude and blessings for the journey. Happy to work it if our paths ever cross, thanks for commenting here, Alicia
I just found this and love it! Thank you for sharing your work. I have a question about your beginning rocking as to why you focus on the left leg both time? All the other movements seem to be balance on both sides. Just curious as I am new to this. Thank you :)
Hello Andrea ! Thank you :) Per your question, it might be because my left side is my dominant side , I don't think it was intentional, balanced is always best !
Hello Julia ! I do think gentle movement practices can be a resourcing activity and supportive of healing from PTSD :) Please get in touch if you want to work on it together!
Hi Alicia, thanks for these, very generous. I was wondering if contralateral movements are included in this sequence usually? I've seen these movements without explanation on other videos and there seems to be some left arm/right leg stretches. Thanks again very resourcing :)
Hi Simon , thanks for visiting ! So sorry for my late reply. Conrta-lateral isn't exactly included in this sequence, I think it depends on how you look at it :) There is a pattern / movement at the end moving toward the right arm and lengthening the left. Thanks for the comment !
