I see a lot of people commenting on different videos about how ben just stood there with the coyote & pool thing. I personally think he was paralyzed seeing her hurt with both things and truly didn’t know how to react or what to do. Especially when they weren’t on like friend terms yet, he maybe didnt know if it was appropriate to do anything. Idk.. I wouldn’t say that makes him less of a good fit for her or a bad person or anything.

The majority of the series Devi wasn’t ready for a relationship her therapist consistently advised her that she should work out to be focused on herself , to grieve , and learn to be truly happy even though it’s difficult even when Paxton kissed her she was still haunted by her past and she used being with him as escape and meanwhile with Ben he wasn’t her escape rather he helped her stay grounded and grow as a person and with every twist and turn was still waiting for her after even when he thought he would never have a chance to be with her because he cares about her and that’s love.

I am team Ben but I think and hope that we will get to know more about Paxton. His sister is super cute and I really want to see more of both of them. I‘m actually glad that neither Ben nor Paxton are perfect and I‘m really looking forward to see more of them.

From the beginning I felt like this chemistry between Devi and Ben. Like even when she wasn’t looking at him, his gaze would always linger on her. Especially the night of the party in the hotel room. The way he looked at her with that smile in his eyes, gave me goosebumps. I think they are so good together, because they know each other in their best and at their worst. I feel like Devi just liked Paxton for superficial reasons, like because he’s hot, he’s popular, etc. Paxton never really took the time to give her a shot. And it wasn’t till his sister pointed it out that he should give her a chance is when he decided too.... idk. I like Paxton I just don’t think he’s the one for her.

Paxton really came a long way in such a short time just from meeting Devi, like he literally changed so quick after having Devi in his life. She changed him for the better and yeah Ben is good too but some of y’all are saying that Paxton and Devi are based on a sexual tension but that’s not the case, notice how he started genuinely caring about her and despite his “popularity” he always stood by Devi when she needed help. The only time he’s not there for her is when he’s not aware of what’s going on, for example the last episode. Paxton could’ve easily left Devi alone after the whole sex thing didn’t happen but HE CHOSE to care for her and help her when she needed him. There’s a lot to Paxton that we still don’t know so I hope next season we get more of a back story on him and get more of Paxton and Devi.

The way that Devi makes Paxton better is what I love. She has a relationship w his sister, which, although he was wary about before, he supports fully. He’s constantly protecting her: didn’t tell anyone she lied about them having sex, helping her out the pool, etc. We start to see in the last episode he pulls back from her because he thinks she’s too good for him. He has a true appreciation for her and even from the beginning, even though he has no clue who she is, he shows her these moments of kindness that are unmatched. I love them together 😭

Definitely team Ben. He's genuine and sweet, so caring and she can be unapologetically herself with him. They have a lot in common but not too much so that it be boring. Also I feel like she only liked Paxton bc he's hot and popular, Ben's not perfect which ironically makes him kinda perfect. Also I really didn't like anything that had to do with Paxton except for his sister, bc he seems so shallow and ugh idk couldn't care less about him he seemed so boring. I hope they give him a Lil more personality next season but I PRAY shes still gonna end up with Ben bc that's honestly the only thing that would make sense.

Paxton kissed her but she kissed Ben... For me that was so symbolic and the video captured it perfectly with contrasting the two kisses. I think that she never was actually in love with Paxton... She liked him for being hot and somewhat used him to climb up the school's social hierarchy. Of course their relationship developed after spending time together but yet again it is mostly sexual tension that defines their relationship. On the other hand, with Ben she is unapologetically herself and she grew to like him for caring about her in a way Paxton never did... Plus, she was always trying to show Paxton the best of her and he was still hesitant... But Ben had seen the worst of her and still chose to like her... So...

Never have I ever shipped both sides of a love triangle so hard before. I don’t even know when I went from disliking to now liking Paxton. Also, Paxton obviously likes Devi, we just need to see more about him. He’s obviously very sensitive and is very insecure - but he’s also very relaxed around Devi. And Devi is confident when she’s around him - she was emotionally open with HIM first, and no one else. That’s important. When Devi and Ben are together - it’s just very “brother sister” relationship. They’re too similar - and they both have a lot of issues. I’m very interested in seeing how they develop the characters - but I’m really hoping she ends up with Paxton - I’m so sick of these girls ending up with the kid that treats them like crap but secretly likes them. It sends the wrong message. EDIT: you have to remember that Ben's treatment to Devi was one of her biggest issues mentally when she was in therapy. His words really hurt her, and she took them to heart. She truly believed she was a UN because of what he would tell her. That's very important as well. This season explored more of Ben's character and both him and Paxton have such a unique relationship with her. I'm sure next season will delve more into Paxton's state of mind. But for now, it's almost impossible to choose. I actually like this, two imperfect guys, an imperfect girl. And they're just figuring it out. And both of their bonds are so natural that I don't know which team im in yet.

This is the first love triangle I’ve ever seen where I just CANT choose who I like more. Typically when I like both I do still have a preference for one, but I just can’t decide between Ben or Paxton. I feel like they are both really good for her and they both really care about her🥺 I can’t wait to see where this goes.

I feel like paxton has a story.... a sad one because you can see it in his eyes and the way he tries to look cool. But deep down he is very kind and a beautiful character. I hope we get to see a full paxton story and not just a glimpse.

i feel like team ben will give us a stronger, healthier relationship. let’s be honest, devi really wanted to date paxton because of his popularity and looks, and although those feelings may have changed, their social abilities is what their relationship is built on. with ben, even if they started as enemies, they know each other much better, and ben has probably liked her for a while (even though he was in a relationship or whatever that shiz was) but he waited for her to be ready. he’s patient with her (like when he waited in the car for her) unlike paxton who gets mad, leaves, and then comes back. ben is just there. whether she likes it or not, he’s there. and that’s why i think bevi is better.

i’m team ben. but paxton also has an incredible character development that made him lovable. i also feel bad for him because it feels like he is genuinely starting to fall in love with her as she starts to with ben. but at the same time ben and devi have this undeniable connection that has been built up and suppressed over the course of so many years. so i can see both angles

srsly i think that Paxton has some really deep mental issues like why else would he be so mad about some random woman calling him stupid out of anger? that’s why he probably treated devi like shit for about the whole season so he can feel better and be accepted by his friends. i like him as a character but I don’t think he’d be a good fit for Devi. I know that majority of people think Devi fell only for Paxtons looks, but his character developed in time and we saw that he's more than a brainless hunk, and I think you can count that as character development. He really started carrying for Devi. I love Ben, but I think I might be team Paxton after all.

I feel like I can see the story going one of three ways. 1) Paxton and Devi are slow burn/ end game and get together at the end of season 2 or in season 3 after things don’t work out with Ben. 2) There’s a conflict in season two with the fact that Ben technically still has a girlfriend, and because of that him and Devi don’t actually get together in season 2. So she ends up dating Paxton next season and ends up with Ben at the end. 3) Somehow Devi and Paxton just end up as friends by the end of season 2 and Paxton is out of the equation all together. I’m really hoping for number 1, but I know that Mindy really likes enemies to lovers though and she kind of treats Paxton only as the heartthrob character so

ben and devi are meant to be and anyone who doesn’t think so can choke😌 first of all, they have so much history. they’ve been through so many ups and downs. hating each other for a while got them to know each other better. as the season progresses, you could see how much happier they got when they were together. ben cares about devi so much that he drove all the way to malibu for her, and he stayed. they are the perfect couple and no one can convince me otherwise.

Everyone’s saying Ben because we saw more into his life, but I think In season two (assuming there is one) we will definitely see a soft side of Paxton and he and Devi will fall in love not because of sexual tension or popularity but just because of who they are.
