Bean Blossom, October 2006. In addition to the GREAT J.D. Crowe on banjo and baritone vocals, this version of The New South included Ron Stewart (fiddle), Dwight McCall (mandolin, tenor vocal), Rickey Wasson (guitar, lead vocal), and Harold Nixon (bass).
Although there was a flaw or two in the DVD source I had for this 3 minute, 18 seconds cut, listen and watch for J.D. to play that amazing double-triplet lick at around 2:11. Astounding, as was all his banjo work, both lead and backup.
