Does anybody else think that this is supposed to be a representation of how dante feels inside during the events of this game? Depressed and alone with hardly anything to look forward to, not to mention being bored out of his mind since everything that happens in this game is just another day at work for him.
Since people thought originally that Dante's change to a serious attitude in 2 was because of the tragedy of realizing the black knight in 1 was Vergil, i could see that, i honestly will say though, the soundtrack in 2, hate the game you may, but i loved the gameplay and soundtrack of 2, i think it has the best soundtrack bar none to me
Devilmaycry is really something special but still trying to figure out why they did the order of the series like Devilmaycry 1 is really Devilmaycry 2 and Devilmaycry 3 is really the first one and Devilmaycry 2 is really 3 then with 4 and 5 they wanna go by order
i think that's why i like this theme so much. it reminded me a lot of dmc3's divinity statue theme n some of the choir used in vergil's 2nd battle theme
This song reminds me of purgatory. Its a solemn, placid melody but has an irregularity that feels ominous like you have been saved from the damnation of hell but your work is not yet done, you must suffer the cleansing of your sins before you have a seat in the kingdom of God.
I don't know why everybody hates this game...I personally had lots of fun playing it, specially when I discovered that majin form, the secret ultra overpowered devil trigger
This melody made me think of many things, one of them being the fact i feel like i'm in a gothic church that is on a mountain side surrounded by water. Plus it also feels like some entity is watching over you, guiding you and protecting you. This theme maybe my top favorite divinity statue theme next to the one from DMC 3. Anyway this theme can feel e you discovered another reality beyond ours, or a theme of questioning reality, life, and everything else.
This theme make's me feel like i'm fall through this gentle water while feeling like i'am held by some unknown force wanting to protect me idk why but it feels nice
That’s exactly why he’s boring. He’s just serious. Would’ve been nice if they made him serious yet somewhat sarcastic, but he is barely that. The other dante’s have mu ch more personality. Also, he has only one memorable line and thh it’s one of my favs “king? Yeah, here’s ur crown.”
I hated DMC2's gameplay, but I loved its atmosphere. It's a bit like DA2: they're very bad games within their license, but I strangely carry them in my heart.
The cronologhical order is this: DMC 3 > DMC 1> DMC the anime> DMC 4> DMC 2. And yep DMC 2 its the ending of all. DmC doesnt count its a reboot with a new guy than use the name of Dante of the original series
Don't forget the novels! Where Vergil was known as Giliver and Dante was known as Toni, which takes place before DMC 3, seeing as Dante does mention how they hadn't see each other in (however long it was) some odd years. People always forget the novels.
This track was on my mind this past winter. I don't know why but it was kind of giving me this vibe like the end of days were coming.... it kind of has come with COVID and all.
the universe consists of all matter in all states shapes and form. You and I are part of the universe, and as part of the universe myself speaking to the divine in you you’re correct. Remember who you are my friend. We need you here. Keep fighting.
Ok hate me if u want but im replaying this on my ps3 and when i went on detailed gameplay this game is actually awesome the gameplay is uniqe the characters where good(something couldve happened in the past for dante to be that serious((i thought he was badass)),the costumes are great the story is good(to bad capcom doesnt know how to present it well not only for dmc),the soundtrack is great, bringing trish and dmc1 dante and weapons is one of the greatest things ever the dmc1 moveset too dmc1 dante sounds trish too holy shit that is badass,dmc1 soundtrack,phantom,geryon...and many more this is my fav dmc game and my first hate me if u want but this is my childhood i got this game before i got ps2 and i went to my friends house to play it(he didnt have a memory card) i was mindblown, beating it in 1 go was a big accomplishment! Now ill be back when i have to say more
feels like your falling of a fucking building while your body is burning in slowmotion and at night whit the most gorgeous moon you have ever seen so damn beautiful you aint concerned with the burning and the falling you aint gonna die after all you are a devil...but what a fall its going to be getting back up is possible thou... thats how this theme feels
Capcom has changed the dmc timeline ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mdKsHU50l90.html Now the story follows dmc3 dmc1 dmc anime dmc2 dmc4 dmc5.
That sounds break my soul.. In this period i would listen only this.. Corona has takem much rage amd hate all over the world and some church song take down evil inside hearth of people
+Imma Xehanort It's cannon they put it at the end of the timeline. I want them to remake it so that way they could fix pretty much everything from story to gameplay. I mean think about it they could include Nero and Vergil into the mix just to make things interesting.
+BioDevil_Dom Well... A thing I just noticed its than Vergil appears in every DMC: -DMC 1: He's Nelo Angelo -DMC 2: I have the feeling than Vergil is that skeleton giant dude with his wolves or at least he is Part of Argoxas and his representation is The Despair -DMC 3: He's the main villain -DMC 4: Part of the Special Edition. -DmC: Even he appears on the reboot as a secondary antagonist.
+Psycox1890 Well no... Vergil doesn't appear in Devil May Cry 2 in any way, that ice dude is Bolverk, a demon that fought against Sparda a millenium ago, and he recognized that Dante was Sparda's son, Vergil in any way could't form part of Argosax or the Despair... Dante smile when he kill it, and Dante never smile after kil Vergil in any game... Don't try to find it, Vergil doesn't appear in DMC2.
+lausonic11 Lol no he Never smile on that game and if you remember Argoxas was a kind of God for the demons and have the Souls of some of them when they died. Maybe he also have the soul of Vergil or Nelo Angelo when he got beaten
This is the best game in existence and me and my friend sleep to this song every night. We pray to Sparta and thank him for another day he has blessed onto us.
Idk the auto-lock-on sucked And lack of actual Devil Arms and unique moves, But damn the OST, The Environments, and Hell some of the bosses were nice (Infested Chopper is a guilty pleasure), Plus Lucia was fine as fuck and Trish was outright busted
This game's story and gameplay could have been so much better... This could have been one of if not the best in the series, instead I'm here mad about it.
This is my one of my favorite franchise in gaming,, also me and my twin brother are connected to the Divine ✌️ but we still consider ourselves as a Demon just like Dante and vergil, the son of sparda 😉👍
wiseguy240 Winston DMC4 is the worst game in the series because it turns Dante into a camp homosexual with red cowboy boots, Trish and Lady into Playboy fanservice and makes the main character an emo. Nero the emo to be correct. Its just not a Devil May Cry game, or at least not a good one. I hated how it butchered the characters from previous games and had such an awful story with some questionalable combat mechanics. But I guess anyone who tells the truth abotu DMC4 is trolling right?
A203D You bring up a lot of valid points but they are all focused on the story and characters. (Which no argument are a very big and crucial part of the series) Dante's costume was the worst and yes I totally agree Trish and Lady were pointlessly objectified to shit and Nero was a very whiny character at times (Personally I loved Nero to death all round but granted that's just personal taste and I can see why people didn't) But all these things are nothing compared to carelessness and just plain shoddy development of DMC2. If rumors are to be believed it wasn't even meant to be a DMC game. It was just some random IP that they decided to stick Dante into and call it DMC2.
wiseguy240 Winston DMC4's combat had serious flaws as well. Personally I really don't care, I just can't stand idiots who worship DMC4 because they liked it, regardless of all its shortcommings.
this is the only good thing about this game , although i consider this game to be “the room” of the c franchise because when dante talks its so cringy it reminds of Tommy Wiseau lol
this one's sound effects are not on point....der's a lot of distortion....but if it was scaled at par with the Flawless DMC4 one's then, I'd say this would be better!
i thought DMC was agreat game but i wouldn't call it a DMC game . now DMC 2 is just plain ridiculous the boss fights are boring. its hard as hel to jump on platforms. the only thing i think is good about is that the shooting is better the guns are pretty cool and the music is amazing. now this is just my opinion i personally didnt like the game
***** I personally enjoyed DMC2, it's on my list of favorite games because I just felt the design was good (though the acting, boss fights, and jumping was bit questionable.) DMC just didn't sit well with me, probably due to all of the changes that transpired: Dante became Donte, an ignorant lil shit who acts like a snobby teenager having an argument over who has the bigger dick. But alas, that's just me: the design to DMC2 was good but some things just spoiled it over, except for the final boss(es): they were neat in my book.
