I gotta admit, this custom song was an awesome touch into the battle. I felt the whole "mood" of sibling rivalry and I did felt like that was going to be their "final battle".
I love this video so much. You did one hell of a job adding in the custom music, making it dynamic during the battle, and creating a new feeling to one of the best moments in the game. Wonderful job 💪🏼
Firstly, I would like to start off by expressing that I absolutely LOVE & ADORE this music choice for this entire sequence. Literally a fucking 12/10, in my opinion, and I especially fucking love how you even edited it to where it ramps up every single time Vergil enters DT state & how it's pretty chill during the first part of the fight since it's lighter than the later half. The music doesn't fit DMC, but that is EXACTLY what I find SO beautiful about this - and it fucking works. Bravo for the details. Second, time to point out some neato things I've paid mind to during the video since I am now on my 10th or so viewing: @6:16 you can spot Vergil mishandling Yamato, which appears to be a mere visual glitch due to him teleporting into the corner lmfao @7:05 as Vergil is walking toward Dante, that is such a nice shot and backdrop for a bad ass picture because the white with blue tint complements his pale skin & jet black attire supremely. @9:18 he literally dodges you by going into the JCE animation... brilliantly timed, CPU. @11:27 Vergil coordinates not only movement, but also attacks with this DG by swapping places with it simultaneously since he insta-casted Spiral Swords prior to this sequence. He was able to apply direct pressure as a result of having Swords up & went into Rapid Slash spam followed by aerial JC - exact same thing his DG did before they swapped places to perform the exact same moves in the same order. Perfectly in sync. @11:29 Never thought I'd hear a sound fx I liked better than JC, but here it is: Rapid Slash sound fx combined with teleport & Judgement Cut's... O M E G A S M. @12:23 you got punished for thinking Vergil would be vulnerable as usual during the end of his JC spam, but insta-casted Spiral Sword Rapid Slash had more in mind. @13:07 is my favorite Vergil DT burst ever, holy fucking shit. The music made it THAT much more explosive & bad ass, literally changing the atmosphere of the fight cause you know it's the final time he'll be entering DT. The fact that smoke/his energy is swirling around the entire arena outside just adds to it, and that seems to be an effect of him going into SDT which makes it feel overwhelming, like an actual threat to your life itself. The emphasis on that scene was so S-tier alongside Vergil simultaneously entering SDT, summoning DG, insta-casting Spiral Swords AND using Judgement Cut that I could hardly contain my fanboyism. @13:56 THINK YOU'RE GONNA KILL EM BUT THEN HE FKING PARRIES & ALMOST KILLS YOU before you recover using DT out of panic & deal the final slash, in which case the music ended perfectly... The cinematic, realistic battle with you being damaged quite a lot and getting comboed yourself to almost lose.. whew boy. ..This is one of the best DMC5 videos I've seen. Don't even need to have S-tier skill like Donguri; just need a passion for the game.
Dude, the amount of attention you put into this video made my jaw drop. If I could pin two comments at the same time, I'd put yours right away. Sincerely, thank you for analysis. You pointed out stuff that I was not able to notice myself even during montage. I'm glad to see there are people who like my video to such an extent as yours. Originally I didn't have it in my mind to lose such huge amount of health. I'm still not used to late phases for DMD Vergil like Doppelganger or mentioned Spiral Swords for example, so I was ready for another repeat at some point until I got a bit better through trial and error. In the end though, I decided to finish the fight nonetheless. The main purpose for this video was to use something different than game soundtrack for dynamic music - this is something I was trying to do in few of my older videos for DMC4, but not to such extent as in this video. Luckily, the fight was fitting Toska's "Illumo" (I had it planned for use for some time, I started loving these guys recently) so perfectly I just couldn't let this attempt go anymore. Keyword: LUCKILY, since I doubt any other attempt would have the same level of sync as to what I did here. I always try to show my best, to the point I sometimes want to push myself even for stuff I'm not even great at like no-damage runs or combos. But this video made me realize that that indeed you don't need to have exceptional combo skills and/or fast fingers to show something great. Every person has different idea - some do combos, some do speedruns and then there's me - spicing the game a bit through montage with the music I love and turning it a small, custom interpretations of my own (that may not be the greatest term I used here, but I can't come up with anything else honestly). And that's perfectly fine so long as it is capable of captivating heart and soul at least a tiny bit. Even taking the damn damage can add a bit of a touch of its own to the video overall. It is annoying on the other hand since most of stuff I may consider good (and that's coming from veteran pessimist) - most of the time is a product born from simple luck where I just go with the flow without worry and with clean head. Meanwhile, whenever I go with forced effort and determination, I tend to make more mistakes and fails than usual - simply because it is forced then... It's sometimes a tough thing to balance. I hope I didn't bore you with this^, but it's nice to have such a detailed exchange of words once in a while. Again, thanks a lot for deep analysis. People like you keep reminding me that I might be just going the right way with my videos after all when I'm telling myself most of the time that's not the case. Puts me at ease. As a matter of fact, I'm pleasantly surprised that you'd go through the trouble of providing me such a well thought-out response! You say that this success is partly due to luck, but that doesn't take away from the passion that exudes from this video. Trust me - I noticed everything you did and WANTED to do, right down to the music of choice, and you did an excellent job on portraying exactly how you felt while making the video & what you wanted others to feel. You can definitely tell the difference between something that is ingenuine or the genuine article simply by paying attention. I personally enjoy this different approach to tackle something like a DMC video that has been done NUMEROUS times, yet you chose such a different path to take as opposed to the usual combo-orientated or speed run videos.. which people expect, and don't get me wrong - not bashing the other skilled players out there for doing what they do, but doing something like what you did isn't nearly as common since MOST people aim for simple combo videos with cool music slapped on to MEET the DMC criteria, whereas you did the opposite.. All in all, I'd say you were quite successful with what you wanted to illustrate & the views don't lie!;) Looking to make my 20th viewing here soon LOL (yes I have been counting lol)
Thank you for darkening the eyebrows too. Even naturally light haired people (mainly blonde's & red heads) will commonly have darker eyebrows. Light ones just disappear into the face and can cause the uncanny-valley effect. I learned through cosplay why this bothered me so much. It's even a issue in big blockbuster movies like Thor. Chris Hemsworth talks about how they lightened his brows to match his blonde wig & it looked terrible. They didn't do it again.
On brighter eyebrows - I can agree. They can make face look weird - I went through this chapter with a lot of games that allow character customization... But, do you want to know something funny? I didn't do anything to eyebrows here xD
@@FlairDarkSlayer1 Really? That is funny, my mistake. I had convinced myself because at 4:37 , I saw the center of his eyebrows were black, while the outside was grey like his hair and beard. I could just be seeing things strangely on my older phone though. Thanks for clearing that up for me! I am probably in the minority here, but DMC2 has my favorite character design for Dante, including white hair, followed by DMC4, but I really can't remember what they did with the eyebrows... Now I must know. Lol
Whenever I get lucky with recordings - I try to do some montage and upload them. I can't tell when next video like that might come and if it will be as good as this one - most of the time this stuff comes spontaneously. If you feel interested, you can watch some of my older stuff on my channel - I have few more videos with custom music similar to this one from DMC4. They are of worse quality though since most of them are already like 3-5 years old.

There a few tips that can help: jumping with balrong with destroy all sword around you at once (jump sideways of backwards) , devil triggered stinger destroys the doppelganger in one hit, and the backwards somersault that balrog does (flintwheel) is considered a parry/invincibility frame. Look sssmoke's guide on vergil for more.
Thanks for the praise \m/ Yeah, the music doesn't fit DMC directly, but it's not supposed to in the first place. I've made many other videos with custom, not-100%-fitting music like that simply because. As much as I like DMC5s soundtrack, you can listen to it over and over until it simply loses power and you want to give something else a try. Besides of mod showcase, this vid is pretty much that. Not all will like it, some already hate it, but it was one of the better stuff I recorded and simply wanted to have some memento of. Nothing big really xP
Yamato deserves to be vergil's weapon because he told dante he can't fight unless his wounds were healed that's battle honor right there honorable just like a samurai
Just keep learning enemy patterns until you won't get yourself killed. It ain't really that hard. The only obstacle on DMD is sometimes ridiculous amount of enemy health xP
We all have our tastes, so it's cool. Most of my vids these days are experiments more than anything. I don't expect everyone to like them fully. Thanks for praise anyway \m/
You should try trumpets or an organ like a very dark sounding way like something is looming coming to destroy everything maybe with a bit of a synth mixed in.

I'm slowly considering doing something for Nero, but it will take a while. For V I don't exactly have clear idea on what I'd do for him, but I'm not saying it's impossible.
Music in in this video been added after recording. It's not a mod. You can make in-game music replacements, but it takes a while. Try searching for music mods in forums dedicated to RE2 and DMC5 modding.

FlairDarkSlayer1 is the mod for the purple and black dante work on ps4? Because purple and black are my favorite colors and I wanted a costume like that for Dante for a really long time and it's unfair that PC users are the only ones that has access to mods
