Shame Capcom did him and Shinji Mikami who both created Devil May Cry and Resident Evil dirty. Would've been nice to see Trish and Dante work together as opposed to her just leaving and rarely interacting out of cutscenes.

@@Heymickeyyousofine To a point they are at least in the same multiverse as one of Dante's alias is actually a contact mentioned in one of the diaries. Now the question is if it is the same Dante from the main games, or another alternate Dante like from Team Ninja's DMC.

@@truekurayami there's also that one official art of Bayo kicking the ass of someone at strip poker... the guy's mostly off-screen, but one of his removed pieces of clothing is a long red cloak draped over one of the other chairs at the table also, one of the summons Bayo has in this game is just Phantom (the armored spider/scorpion boss from DMC1)... who just happens to be the only DMC1 boss that doesn't appear in DMCV (Griffon, Shadow, and Nightmare are V's summons, and Nelo Angelo has enemies that are basically just like him)

Shame bayo 3 didn't live up to the thematic resolution of the game in terms of story.

I am of the opinion that the tutorial is misleading! With the exception of a few weapons one should ALWAYS hold down the attack buttons, not only for long range. Makes it easier to not only avoid wildly button mashing but also to do dodge offsets whenever needed. I wish more hack and slash games had this system or something like it, I am most definitely guilty of overreaching…

@@exetone Same. The story is really only there to justify a game about a sexy witch fighting angels with hair demons.

@@exetone I don't see how. It's a pretty simple story. But you do have to pay attention. The game is fairly subtle about the words used to explain terms and whatnot.

The names of the handguns also correspond to the lyrics of Scarborough Fair.

It doesn't help that the first exposition dump happen at the same time as the first fight where you try to get a feel of the combat system.

It's all but confirmed they at least share a Multiverse if not a main Universe, as even Dante is called out in a diary even if it was only his alias, and thanks to the Golden LPs Bayo's weapons are very much Devil Arms just made it a different way.

It's odd to have a collaboration when the original developers of DMC are what Platinum games is today. Just take a look at the panther motion capture animation and it matches Okami 1:1 ratio. Kamiya was the original director of DMC and doing a DMC would have to be a contracted out work from Capcom.

@@Style_224 Nintendo is the publisher for Bayo 2 & 3 (and even Bayonetta 1 on Switch). Not only that but Nintendo has funded the games (2 & 3) and all rights about these games belong to Nintendo. Although Bayonetta is a SEGA IP. Bayonetta 2 & 3 are basically first-party games made by a second party dev (PG). Nintendo EPD even worked on Bayo 2 & 3.

I also love Xenoblade and Bayonetta, although I wish I liked XC2.

Not really, maybe graphic wise but Bayo1 has certain mechanics where its better treated as a 'alternative' to go back to from time to time than a prequel. For instance, the 'taunt offset' is removed in 2, and gameplay is more reliant on Umbran Climax, Witch Time is shorter. Its really up to debate which on is better on a more advanced play style. But casually Bayo2 is better.

@@4400seriesFAN graphically bayo 2 is without a doubt better. But a lot of high level bayo players will say bayo 1 is better when it comes to gameplay.

@@salvadorgalvan3164 you can taunt after a dodge and keep continuing the combo like a normal dodge offset. Its hard to explain but look it up if you want.

@@salvadorgalvan3164 I respectfully disagree. I went up to Platinum in the hardest difficulty, back in the WiiU days and I feel that Bayo2 blows 1 out of the water. I also started counting the hits of the enemies required to kill Bayo in identical situations in both games. In Bayo 2 the frequency of the enemy attacks is higher and the hits required to bring you down are less than in 1. Bayo 2 also has better mix of enemies at the same time, effectively leading to cooler combos and less combo breaks that happen because of the enemies' distance to you or their form (shields, etc). When you break a combo in Bayo 2 it is clearly your fault, while in Bayo1, it usually is the game's fault (enemies fall back, no enemies in the air while you unlock the aerial attacks very early so you go in the air too often, exclusively shielded enemies in the arena, etc...). These things don't happen in Bayo 2. It is a far more streamlined game in every aspect. And the camera... Oh God, the camera in Bayo 1 has autism or something!

Chilllleeee….when I found out about bayonetta years ago when it was on the Xbox 360,I fell hard…usually I always look games up but I never ran across bayonetta,one day,I saw it and decided to buy and play it…and when I did,i was sold.i never saw any gameplay or nothing and it was everything I hoped out of a game❤️❤️❤️
