Trish: *drives into Dante's house with a motorcycle, stabs him through the chest, uses magic to zap him, and is surprised when he isn't dead. Dante later: What?! Trish betrayed me and was working against me?!
That's normal for Dante. Well, aside from DMC2, interestingly enough. Wait, maybe that's why it's bad. Eh, it isn't horrible. Just not as humorous. Then again, what can beat DMC3 and 4?
@@damiennroddy You saying that due to me talking about a DMC game's worth if Dante gets impaled by a sword or not? Or so, then he does in 5. He stabs himself, AND his sword flies into his chest when he activates SDT.
When Trish departed ways with Dante (a bit after DMC1) she told him that their shop was called "Devil Never Cry", now that she acts by her own way and Dante is alone again she said that he should rename the shop "Devil May Cry" again.
VanishedMaul Me, I never got to play to original games, Icma watch the first 3 on youtube, play the 4th game on my xbox one, and be ready for 5 when it comes out next year. 😃
“Don’t come any closer you devil!” I love this line so line so much. You can hear the absolute disgust in his voice. I don’t know the guy’s name that played Dante in this game, but I really don’t think he’s a bad voice actor. The script just had some terrible flaws that no one would have been able to make sound dignified.
He was certainly amateur, but he wasn't bad by any means. I seriously think he has his moments, such as this one. I also unironically think "Fill your dark soul with LIIIGHT" was pretty good, even if it's cheesy. But it's the good cheesy.
Reuben Langdon did the voice and the stunts for Dante in all of the DMC games. He is an actor, voice actor and stuntman. He was also in a movie with Jackie Chan called The Medallion.
@@idontknowyet2875 I just checked it out. He did DMC 1. He also did motion capture for 3, 4 and even 5. He didn't do two. I've researched Reuben Langdon many times before. I learned he was an actor after watching some extra content on DMC 3. The only one he was in that I can remember is The Medallion.
nathan900130 I actually thought the contrary. You gotta go deeper to understand to emphatic cheesy voice acting. It’s emotionally charged for a damn good reason.
Trish is an interesting wierd character. If she is like Vergil, she actually IS their mother, "reassembled" by Mundus. But it feels like, they sort of want to make her Dante's love interest & that's a few steps far too wierd tabboo. :D
the voice acting ain't bad, it's just some of the lines, like at the end of the game Trish and Dante get a little weird, although my favorite lines are "slow down babe!", "jackpot" and "flock off feather face!"
Tempted to say yes but in the same time... What are the chances they keep the same dialogues. Part of the greatness of this game is that it's incredibly corny.
times Dante's been stabbed in the chest: 2:30 6:17 47:34 Dante: If I had a nickel for every time I've been stabbed in the chest, I'd have three nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened three times.
You should watch the game movie of the latest remastered version. Capcom finally decided to do some extra work besides porting and included subtitles in that one.
17:28 absolutely my favorite scene outta this whole game the music is the chef’s kiss this game deserves a remaster I hate this boss as well but the cutscene makes it rewarding
Make this a Movie Series considering 1-5 of them u already have DMC the latest and now the first one. Considering how that you've went from 50K to 350K subs is amazing. In what appears so little time. Well Done Gamers Little Playground. Any chance that your NWG podcasts could be called Gamers Lounge? In its own separate channel?
Dont know how many Other Series this Game started. Probably the Grandfather of any Soulslike, Dantes Inferno, Bayonetta ofc, God of war, or whatever Hack and Slash you can think of. Pure Legend 🤩
@@nightnight4575 it's true, play the game kid, you'll see. DMC2 ties into shin megami tensei nocturne, which takes place after the world ends when the demonic world merges with the human one. DMC2 Dante was there, still fighting in Hell.
It’s hard for people to believe me when I say this but devil may cry 4 came out when I was in pre school and I beat it in pre school I’m not even lying either and then I played the game 4 years ago again and then had very vague memory of the game then watched the lore on the game after then play number 5 now I want to jump more into the lore by seeing all the cutscenes from 1-3
I came here aftrr getting my ass kicked by second encounter with Shadow (after 1st encounter with Nelo Angelo). It's strange how brutally difficult this game is compared to other Devil May Cry games (I've played 3, 4, 5)
