Our first hike ever in the state of Texas! On a blustery and wet December day, we visited Guadalupe Mountains National Park, hiking 4+ miles from the Pine Springs trailhead to the Devil's Hall trail, to the Hiker's Staircase and little slot canyon, Devil's Hall.

Very nice video, beautifully captured! Next time around, please mention the time it took for your hike and your experiences/what to watch out for.

Thanks. I don't usually time our hikes, as we do a LOT of stopping for photography, or side excursions and breaks. As for what to watch out for, I always mention the length of the hike and elevation gain, and even give a history of the area. I did mention that there were rock scrambles that could be hazardous when wet as well. Beyond that, the experience is in the video! Rock on. ✌

that place is insane! Such great views. I love all the layers in the rock. Looks like you had the place to yourself. Great section through that slot canyon too. Epic.

Rock scrambles indeed. Interesting place... Not sure I would want to hike that on anything but a clear skies in all the surrounding mountains... I suspect that could get exceedingly interesting with any rain about.

There was one time that we considered turning back due to the drizzle, but we made it. Just as we got back to our car, thunder and rain rolled in!
