I am bummed to see they have mosquitos!! I hate mosquitos!! I live in the south and was hoping to move north to Michigan to get away from the stupid mosquitos!
Good day, my friend. This is Connie, nice to connect again. I know you are professional. We have an air mattress bed with stand, but the material may cause some noises when turning over, how do you feel about this? Is that acceptable for people who like camping? I would sincerely appreciate it if you could give us some suggestion.
Mark, came across this video and it brought back many great memories for me. I too am from Lafayette and spent three and a half years in the U P while in the Air Force. That was 60 years ago when I left. I have only been back once since then. Amazing how every thing has changed. I truly enjoyed your trip through "gods country".
I loved it!!! I love the Redwoods so much and I haven't been to this part yet. So beautiful. Massive trees and so lush. I liked the Jurrasic Park vibe here and love the music you picked.
It is very humbling to walk among the Redwood giants. And I have to admit, I underestimated the Redwoods, they are so majestic, such a beautiful forest. Thanks for watching Nicole!
@SlonesWildernessExpeditions yes I would have loved to climb to the top of the chimneys but didn't want to on case something might have happened I'd probably be in trouble lol
I love it, great hike and great information on the lava and that cinder cone looked great, glad you hiked down and placed a rock. You were so fortunate before they closed down. Yes, the trekking poles would have helped. Can't wait to see this place one day.
I took along a single pole, the one my GoPro is mounted on, but I regretted not taking two! It was a wonderful experience, something new and different. Thanks for watching, Nicole!
Been toying with equipping my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Overland as a sleeper. Sometimes I crash in the passenger seat with bug nets on the windows and USB fans running off power banks. Not perfect. I like to toss a bit while sleeping. Going to see if I can adapt a half-size version.
Vicks vaporub is the only thing that repels them. They swarmed my bathroom & kitchen. I tried all of the Google recommendations ZIP. So I smeared some vicks & POOF! Gone.
What a awesome trip!! I would love to visit the Upper Peninsula Michigan. Which park do you recommend , I live in nortwest Indiana and I'll have 4 days (leave friday early and back Monday night) to travel. Thank your for your response.
I have this tent for like 8 years. It does it's job great for the money spent. It has two issues. Lenght of sleeping place minght be stated right, but the roof goes at a very sharp angle so if you sleep parallel to the long side - you'd be touching inner tebt with your head or feet. And this becomes an issue when outisde temperature swings and you get condensation on the inside of outside tent. Because when you tiuch inside tent - it'll touch the outside tent as the distance is not very big no mater how well you tension it.
Great stop along the way for sure, so interesting that there was a lake a long time ago. The cave system was cool probably literally cool LOL. Yes, Park Ranger would have been great...you'd probably not be in IN if you had chosen that route. Cool episode!
