Its hard, but if we don't think about it we're fine. Its a lot to deal with, but we grew up turning a blind eye, we don't know anything else -Something my brother said to his therapist. My mother said something very similar to said therapist alone at another time about her childhood. This was the norm for her, my abuela, my bisabuela and now us. Generational trauma tends to go unchecked, we are socially conditioned and told to ignore it, that this is normal, only because it has become so normalised.
