Back many years ago my first guns were a pair of JGA 502 suction and a JGA 502 set up for pressure using a KB 555 pressure pot. About 29 years ago went HVLP with 2 Sharpe guns, a gravity feed and a pressure. Also have a SATA Minijet (the original green one). Fast forward to today…….Tekna primer gun, ProLite for base/clear, and a DV1s. Love my Devilbiss guns……….
Very informative video. I bought a FLG couple of years ago and it does a great job for the money. If I was using it every day probably upgrade but I'm happy with it 👍👍
As a beginner, I wanted to buy one of these guns right away, not knowing that you need a BIG Air Compressor to power the gun. I’ve learned that CFMs are extremely important thanks to channels like this one. Keep making clips!
I think you will be hard pushed to beat the Devilbiss guns for build quality and performance in their respective price range, the FLG is a great gun for the diy user as it will do everything, I have 2 of them and use one for all my high build primer work in the 1.8, the Pro and ProLite I used to use for base and clear. The best guns are the DV1, for base it's the silver one and clear is the black one and as you said they are a big improvement over the GTI guns, I think you will like the DV1S Rob as it sprays just like the DV1 and puts the clear on like glass👌👍
Sorry, I've got Iwata running through my veins 😁 But I'd never say anything bad about devilbiss as I've got mates that love 'em, I just stick with what I'm most comfortable with. Recently cost me £1200 for a pair of the new ones though 😲
@@dredfxcustompaint I keep hearing such good things about that gun. I think it's an evolution of my ancient LV2 aircap, which was great for glassing out MS & HS clears.
My first spray gun was a sata , devilbiss spray gun way better and parts are cheaper to replace and they don't waste alot of paint like them expensive sata .......Devilbiss is the brand in UK!
