These 2 side dishes just scream spring and summer to me. And we welcome these seasons with these side dishes at Easter. This is part of a series (maybe not back to back videos) of Summertime Sunday Sides. if you have any you would like to see how I make it please leave a comment.
I will list ingredients for you but you should determine amounts based on your liking and taste preferences. please watch the video as I give a general idea of the amounts I use.
Deviled Eggs:
eggs
mayo
mustard
salt & pepper
sweet pickle relish
paprika
Cucumber Salad:
cucumbers
Red onion (we all know it's purple)
1 part apple cider vinegar
1 part water
sugar
( I used 2 cups vinegar 2 cups water and a heaping 1/3 cup sugar)

Love the videos and recipes. I make these two as well. I add just a smidgen (about 1-2tsps) of sugar to my deviled eggs. Along with a capful of vinegar as well. They both offset each other but add that little extra taste. As for the cucumber salad, it’s really awesome with cut up cherry tomatoes added in and marinated all together. Ohhhhhh my…salt and pepper added. Really great recipes…Thanks for the nostalgia…

I put a pinch of horseradish in mine… yum. Most people don’t like that but it tastes totally different in egg salad and deviled eggs.

The paper towel works if you place it between you and he onion. I always lay it off the edge of the cutting board right in front of me. It really does work that way. And make sure it is soaked. Food looks delicious! Thanks for the video! Blessings to y’all. ❤️🙏

Hi Leslie, loved the video. I’m from West Virginia and we always made our cucumber salad with cucumber, onions, vinegar, oil, water, sugar, salt and pepper. Delicious!! I make my deviled eggs just like you do. I’d love to see how you make fresh green beans, fresh corn out of the garden, baked beans and macaroni salad. Love this channel. Been watching for about 6 months now. One of my favorites. Blessings.

I use my rapid prep mandolin to slice my cucumbers and onions. I use salad supreme on the top of my deviled eggs it takes them over the top delicious and mine a no pickle girl and a vinegar too

I like this side & have made it a few times. Sugar was what was missing. Thanks Leslie. I'd like to know about a corn recipe where it has tomatoes cut up & mayo I believe. Think there are several ways folks make it. I like the one with less ingredients. I make one with white shoepeg corn with green onion & mayo & let it sit overnight. That's a favorite. Slaw is another that's made a few ways too. Enjoying & love seeing the blessings overflowing. Praise & thankful heart. 🙏

Pickled broccoli & cauliflower u precooked the b& c add garlic vinegar a little bit oil and a little bit of Italian dressing but in the fridge and chill it's even better the longer it sits my favorite

So glad to see you use instant pot! My hubby LOVES it for deviled eggs. 5 cook-5 min then release pressure-5 min cold bath....and slip those shells right off!! He made them twice this Easter lol...did I say my hubby loves them? Devilled eggs and the instant pot!! Your weather looks great...we had snow here in palmyra ny for Easter am, and on way to church. For the cucumber and onion salad I cut the cucumbers and onions up and then I sprinkle sugar on them and let them sit for just a little while then I pour white wine vinegar over them to cover and I stir and cover again and put in the fridge!

I love your Sunday side dishes. Try "Polish Creamed Cucumbers". Peal & slice your cucumbers top with enough sour cream to cover the cuc's & add a teaspoon of vinegar for some zing. Salt & pepper to taste. If you like sour cream & you like cucumbers, you'll love this.

Sunday lunch was my favorite memories also. I miss it so much😢whole family got together lot of cuusins also. Kids have there on family's now we only get together on holidsys and birthday. Life makes everyone so busy some have to work.

I enjoy your videos so much. I bought an Instant Pot Max because I can pressure can 4 pints in it. Leaving alone I can buy meat on sale have a meal or two and pressure can 4 pints for later. The Max is the only one you can pressure can in. Love deviled eggs and your salad looks yummy.

I’m right there with you on the insta pot. I got one for Christmas and I’ve used it some. I love the results so far but I look forward to seeing what you come up with! I use a knife to peel veggies too

I’m like you with the instant pot. I have one and have only used it a couple of times. I think I had it for 2 years. I haven’t liked anything I’ve made in it (roast and bone broth) I prefer it in them in the oven and on the stove or crock pot. I don’t like sweet relish or pickles, so when I used to make deviled eggs, I used regular pickle juice. I don’t make them anymore cause I have food intolerances and eggs are one of those.
