Hiked up to the fire tower 7/31. As you can tell the views are great. As of 7/31 everything was open but you can't go in the actual tower. The USFS website states this area is closed but I did not find that to be the case. They will close the tower if the weather is bad in the area. I found the hike to be fairly easy. All trails says 2.5 round trip. If curious about drone rules. I asked the rangers at the top and they didn't seem to mind nor did I find anything else prohibiting drone use.
